I’m an optimist, they are informed realists. Sometimes things aren’t as good as I think, sometimes things aren’t as bad as they think so it works well for me to listen. I’m a fan and I’d have a beer and wings with these guys any time.

If you’re interested in a VT podcast that is realistic, transparent, and not all rah rah then this is the one for you. Mike, Ricky, and Andrew have good back and forth with 3 unique outlooks at VT Athletics (primarily football and basketball but still good insights). Plus they aren’t going to sugar coat anything for you AND are really interactive online plus in responding to mailbag questions. Great podcast for casual listening and trying to cure any Hokie Hangover you might have.

Mike, Ricky and Andrew are some of the best that Hokie media has to offer. In a podcast environment full of baseless homer-ism and pessimism, these guys tell it to you straight. Informed, nuanced, and sometimes pretty darn funny. Would recommend to anyone with an interest in VT Athletics. Keep up the great work gentlemen.

This podcast helped cure my alcoholism

I think the Hokie Hangover pod is probably the most rational and objective pod out there dedicated to the Hokies football squad. Team specific pods will always carry some natural bias but I think this group does well trying to focus on a balanced review on the state of the program. They don’t shy away from the good, bad, or ugly. Keep at it gents.

New to the pod this year and I’m glad I jumped on. Mike, Rickie, and Andrew give me what I need to stay informed and get hyped for game day. Jump on this pod now so you can say you were there at the start of Tech’s next era of glory. H O K I E S, HOKIES.

The other guys are good but lose that loser Ricky Lablue. He just wines and wines and knows nothing. It’s like he thinks if he talks tough, loud and uses some slang people will think he is cool. Please make Ricky go away to improve your podcast.

I enjoy Ricky and Mike’s input despite Mike saying like and right a million times each episode. The host needs to stick to asking those two guys questions and not rambling on and on while not really saying anything important.

Decent Hokie podcast. Should leave the politics and Congress stuff out of it wrt to NIL if you don’t know what you’re talking about.

These 3 gentlemen provide an honest and thorough critique of what is good and what is not so good within the VT football program. Encourage you to listen and enjoy.

Best Virginia Tech podcast. Love the insight and honest assessment of VT football. Sons is good, but sounds more like a radio station. Hokie Hangover sounds like a team beat writer. No hot takes...great analysis. No bias.

These guys know what they’re talking about. if you want an honest take about VT football, this is is pod.

Big fan of these guys work, glad to see the podcast has grown and developed since it’s inception. Andrew, Mike and Ricky are a young Chris Coleman and Will Stewart when it comes to actually breaking down the games, providing analysis and, most importantly, staying as impartial as possible and not playing cheerleader.

You guys do great work keep it up. Mike I love the honesty and realism. Gotta be honest at first I thought Ricky was a negative Nancy but the more I listened the more I realized I was wrong and he’s just telling it like it is. I appreciate how all of you can speak very objectively (which is hard to do when talking about something you love) and can call things out when they need to be called out but also give credit when it is due as well.

Andrew Alix has a pure radio voice and a ton of knowledge. McDaniel is a goldmine and Ricky LaBlue pulls no punches. 5 stars.

A lot of negative commentary with blatantly incorrect facts analysis. Umm maybe know who actually played in games before you comment on how a unit did.

Great podcast. Guys are pretty knowledgeable. Very good content if you like the Hokies.
