    I have to say this
These people seem kind and I love the content but I can not STAND hearing the husband interrupt his wife over and over and over again, he needs to WAIT until her sentence is OVER before responding or making a joke or whatever! He steals her thunder 10+ times just during the intro.

More episodes please. Your loyal fans are waiting for some yuks. Itā€™s been a while

    Iā€™m sorry but
This couple is cute together, however, the psychology talk portion of the shows is almost non existent. Disorganized.

    Ehh
Itā€™s, ok I can see why ppl may like it. Takes way to long to get to the actual topic, then when they get on topic, they continuously drift off and stay off then come back then repeat. So essentially youā€™re only getting about 10 min of conversation about the actual topic and more jokes and insight into their personal activities in life

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SKIP THIS PODCAST
There is nothing here for anybody who cares about themselves or others. I've never heard such a horrible and time obliterating podcast in my entire 35 years of life, this is just so bad. Not only is there little to no actual psychology talk going on, but it sounds like two people who are both into psychology only to keep from killing each other as husband and wife. There is definitely a ticking clock on this marriage till death do you part. _______________________ 5-Star negative reviews should really be more popular.

    Really insensitive tone
I found an episode about a condition I was interested in, and found the hosts to be peppering in too many insensitive ā€œjokesā€. The conversation was hard to follow and the attempts at ā€œsounding funnyā€ really just derailed the conversation and made it impossible to follow the information in an engaging way. ā€œThey just bite their cuticles on one of their handsā€¦ cuz theyā€™re your half sister!ā€ legit this isnā€™t funny or a sensitive way to discuss a medical issue

My favorite show!! So funny!! šŸ˜ƒ
You guys are the best! I love listening to your show, it always puts me in a great mood. Donā€™t stop being silly or ever think a topic canā€™t be serious and funny at the same time. A subject like psychology can be so serious, that a little levity goes a long way in just lightening the mood. Psychology has always fascinated me and I like how your show gives information in small chunks that you make relatable to real life. I also really enjoy hearing about your family and neighbors and what you both are going through in your daily lives. It makes me feel a connectedness that I can relate to also. Keep up the awesome job!!

    Always makes my day
I love the energy between Dr. Mike and Diana; they always make me smile and I laugh along with them like seriously I laugh out loud when Iā€™m walking around with my headphones in. I even replay episodes when Iā€™m having a down day because the podcastā€™s energy makes my day better. Learning is so fun with reverse psychology. Thanks for making such a great podcast, I hope thereā€™s lots more episodes to come!

    Love it!
I just found your pop cast and have already fallen in love it. You both present the information in fun understandable ways that keep me laughing learningā€¦. But are there going to be more episodes????

    Awesomeness
I love your podcast. I just started listening to podcasts in general and 80% of the time itā€™s yourā€™s I listen to. You both have the best personalities and crack me up (which keeps the audience attentive). Iā€™m a graduate student double majoring in both social work and psychology. Thank you so much for what it is you share with us. Many of the things you talk about will be questions on my licensure. Keep on being awesomeness! šŸ˜Ž Gratefully, Natalia Capriccio

    Obsessed
There is nothing about this podcast I do not like. The easy conversation before the content, the psychology content itself, the unethical corners, everything! You guys have brought happiness to my 40 minute commute everyday and I thank you so much for that!

    Interesting
3 stars because the mindless dribble before the content was to long. Actual content was good.

Dr. Mike and Dr. Diana are a hilarious and fun couple. As a psych major Iā€™m definitely learning more from this podcast than any of my classes so far. We need some more content I miss youā€™re adorable banter!

    Very funny and informative
I am a psychology major in college and I was looking for podcasts to help solidify what I was learning during my personal time. Mike and Diana have such playful banter, while at the same time, sharing really great info about psychology. Itā€™s such a fun podcast to listen to and it makes me laugh all the time. Iā€™m glad I found it (P.S. Mike and Diana, if you read this, check out my DM on FB messenger)

    I missed you guys !
I absolutely love this podcast, Iā€™ve been slowing going through the episodes since I noticed the hiatus. So glad you guys are back !!! I normally listen on Spotify but couldnā€™t find where to review. So I downloaded the apple podcast app just so I could review :)

    GOAT
I love Mike and Diana! Reverse Psychology is easily my favorite podcast. I take a psychology class in my high school and so many of the topics I come across I have already been familiarized with from the show. Also, nothing makes me laugh out loud to the same extent! I was pretty sad over the showā€™s hiatus, but Iā€™ve just read that there is an impending comeback, so all is well in the world. Thank you Mike and Diana, you're the best!

I wish there were more stars
Hi, I currently work at a state funded outpatient behavioral health center as an RSS (recovery support specialist). That means Iā€™m certified in having lived experience recovering from substance use and PTSD and all kinds of other stuff. I used the real needle with MY heroin, unlike those weenie undercover popoā€™s. Anywho, I would like to go back to school and become a therapist. Your podcast has been such a wealth of info! Also, I regularly look like a maniac thanks to yā€™all because I frequently laugh out loud while listening. I do want to say even Though you say EMDR is a pseudo science, it completely changed my life! I had a lifetime of repeated traumatic events that led to extreme social anxiety, depression, self harm and drug abuse / addiction. I had no idea my negative thoughts and negative beliefs about myself were all due to those traumatic events / very high ACE score. I had no idea my heart and thoughts racing, palms sweating, hands shaking, and my stuttering when in a room full of people were due to trauma. I just thought it must be normal to feel that way, and no therapist I had ever seen had ever told me anything other than ā€œreplace your thoughts with positive onesā€ or ā€œuse these coping skillsā€ which just never worked. I did EMDR, combined with CBT to help me replace the negative beliefs about myself, for about a year. I went from having a silent panic attack every time I walked into an AA meeting to speaking in front of 50 people and telling my story, facilitating RSS groups for 100 or more clients, and only having one or two panic attacks At all since the therapy, which I completed about a year ago. I know many people who have had their lives changed by EMDR and I tell every client who presents with ptsd about how much it helped me. I also know that doesnā€™t make it NOT a pseudo science as my experience is not empirical. But my experience and so many othersā€™ experience do add to those that lead some agencies to call emdr an ā€œevidenced basedā€ form of therapy. Ok I love you guys!! You are my #relationshipgoals #bantergoals! Muah!

    Love it!
Iā€™m a security guard and I have to deal with difficult people all day long and I need something to keep me in a good mood, this is perfect. I love how I can laugh and enjoy work while at the same time learning something valuable. Both Diana and mike are hilarious and there chemistry together really makes the show. Keep it up guys I appreciate you!

    Where did you go?
I keep looking ........ I listened to your pod cast while I commuted back and forth for work. Since the world ended as we knew it, I got behind. I am now finally catching up but I am on 46. Thanks for the laughs and knowledge. I am a LCSW getting my PsyD in IO psych. I know you all are not big IO peeps but please give a shout out to the front line clinical workers who use that knowledge to build incredible sustainable programs in behavioral health! Stay strong as we evolve in our new normal.-Amanda

    Kids say the racist things
I have been listening to a number of podcasts and videos about Jane Elliot recently and I have to say this was the worst one and a complete waste of my time. When you FINALLY began talking about ā€œA Class Dividedā€ it seemed like you hadnā€™t even watched it or studied its message. You seem to be more interested in acting ā€œcuteā€ than delivering any meaningful insights or commentary. I will not be subscribing to your podcast.

    Love this show
Although Iā€™m kind of a cheap laugh, this is one of the few podcasts that has brought me to tears from laughing so hard. Also lots of interesting content! I have lots of friends who are armchair psychologists and itā€™s refreshing to hear people who know whatā€™s up spreading the good word. Canā€™t wait for Dr Diana and Dr Mike to come back! :)

    I have binged this!
I just finished my specialist in school psychology degree and I found this during quarantine! I have listened to so many episodes in a few days and it helps refresh me on different topics from a different perspective. Best psychology podcast Iā€™ve listened to!

    Happy anniversary rev psych!
Iā€™ve been a dedicated listener since the beginning (sorry, the response effort of writing a review while I was a fellow was too high)! Love this podcast for so so so many reasons, one of which is that it reminds me of the (drunken?) convos I had with my school psych grad school friends while studying. Thx 4 the memories!

    Nice work
I might be fighting for the youngest listener when I say this, but Iā€™m 17 and I found this podcast last year after taking a year of AP Psych and loving it. I had been listening to your podcast driving to and from school but now that the world is a *bit* different I listen to it in the comfort of my own bed. I love getting to learn more about certain things we could never delve into in class while also feeling smart when I remember something we did talk about. The banter is great; keeps you on your toes the whole time. I donā€™t know why itā€™s taken me this long to review; Iā€™ve always known itā€™s worth all 5 of those stars!
  • MiriamShep
    Why aren't more people listening?!
Love the podcasts as usual, and your stickers are having a very fun time being plastered around upstate NY! Maybe you've done an episode on it before, but I would love to hear one on facial dysmorphia. Thanks friends!

    Educative and entertaining
I love this podcast and have binge listened to it over the past few weeks to get caught up. I love the silly banter and jokes that accompany some of the more serious topics. I feel this helps me retain the information better. Also, will you fart in my sandwich? J/k. That was a call back to a previous episode. That was hilarious. Keep up the wonderful show!

    A Review
I just want to say that this podcast is very entertaining 10/10 or in this case 5/5, I guess. Thank you Dr Mike and Diana for making my commute to work a little less painful. I find myself learning things even when i donā€™t want too! Wish it was like that when I was in college.

    fav podcast !
hi itā€™s sam from california, i think podcasts are overrated but i really like this one! great balance of humor and education, theres hardly a dull moment with yā€™all. also, i been trying to guess dr mikeā€™s sign for the longest and aries was my first guess bc of his energetic way of speaking and i was right !! my guess for dianaā€™s is virgo but im not sure. anyway, love yall Byeee!!

One stop shop for psyched themed edutainment!
Ethical Disclaimer - I know the hosts personally. That said, I think this is one of the best edu-comedy podcasts out there! The blending of humor with hard (soft) science is great. It's like take AP Psych all over again, but with MUCH more informed teachers. Though we no longer live in the same city - I feel kinda like I'm keeping up with Diana and Mike through their hilarious banter. Back episodes really helped me get through last week's non-stop impeachment coverage too.
  • burnout but in a cool way
    Here I am to review
Kind of like cilantro, youā€™d either love this podcast or hate it. I love it and Iā€™m determined to make everyone in my life love this cilantro. Iā€™m a social worker and am always looking for podcasts to decompress with after work - M&Dā€™s conversations make me feel relaxed and entertained all while still learning about the field. Theyā€™re humble and humorous while also being informative (jackpotttt boi).

    Reverse Psychology
Serious psychology topics that are full of satire and information that make the long dark drives to work pass quickly! Have shared with many. Canā€™t wait for stickers so I can tag all over AK.

    Accidently Learned Something
I'm not a psychologist. But i now have two friends that are (Thanks, Mike and Diana!). My interest in psychology is because I want to be better... at everything. Our culture focuses externally but I suspect those with the healthiest psyche have easier, more fulfilling lives regardless of what external conditions they find themselves in. A well adjusted, mature human has an unfair competitive advantage in every domain of life. I tend to get along with people that study and practice psychology so I started to listen to Reverse Psychology. I've now listed to so many of their episodes, I consider them friends. It's a one sided relationship because they have no idea who I am but I find them likable, funny, occassionally irreverent, but most of all well informed. It makes learning easy and enjoyable. I'm fascinated by the therapy industry in general. I want to know the most effective interventions, the pros and cons of the more popular forms of therapy, the structure of the industry, the nature of first world problems (like disaffected folks miserably drinking $4 lattes at hipster coffee shops complainig about silly things), and why i tend to like people that study / practice psychology. I came for answers on why the field starts with a diagnosis (assuming something is wrong with you), why there is such a horrible stigma in the industry (no self respecting young man is going to admit he wants to talk to someone about his feelings), the high cost of treatment (why is proper help largely inaccessible to those that need it the most...like the disconnected guys that eventually turn to drugs, porn, video games, or violence), how our culture has engineered mental health conditions through poor urban design and architecture (less human to human interactions like we had in villages, independent/separate living quarters, less joint families/tight neighborhoods, zoning laws that force home, work, and stores to be in different parts of the city so we have to drive in a metal isolation chamber...), is the industry embarssed by its abyssmal history(?), lack of male initiation rights in post modern western world and its role in causing an epidemic of psychotropic prescriptions/ODs/suicides, why we dont see more innovation in private practice to enhance effectiveness and accessibility, why the field is largely transactional (pay based on treatment for condition...perhaps driven by insurance and the DSM..instead of the value add process...pay for wellness/prevention/getting to where i want to get). I have many questions...like, what would Drs Mike and Diana do differently to change the industry? Whilst Mike and Diana ARE therapists, they are not MY therapist. Legally this is true. Practically, i'm not so sure. Because I do get nice dopamine hits everytime I put them on my AirPods and go for a run. My curiousity is satisified. I laugh. I learn something. I challenge myself. Is that therapy? Thanks, ya'll.
