Love it!12345Laura & Carolyn are great!Love the pod! (But you know you gotta edit the eps. The last one had a lot of gnarly sounds I hate to say! Also think the eps would improve if you cut out accidental cross talk and mics cutting out etc!! I say this because I love! 5 stars! This pod should be a mega success! Ilu both!)

C.MiddListened to an episode and was dissappointedI appreciate the premise of this podcast. I appreciate advocating for women. This is especially true in identifying ways in which the fitness industry contributes to feeling pressure to be skinny or appear a certain way. I listened to an episode about Tracy Anderson. I am a two year subscriber to the TAM. I will admit that I have had some of the same questions brought up in this podcast. i.e. her “research”. I ca not find where she has published any research. She is a wealthy lady and it seems, many times, that she is out of touch with, well, not wealthy folks. BUT, I can’t explain the kind of strength and energy I feel by having this practice. I do find her advice and support helpful when I inquire or listen to the content she provides in her online studio. I have never heard her say a thing about a calorie deficit. In fact, she provides daily mean plans that come to around 2000 calories. She has repeatedly said I want you to move well as you age, and if you are here wanting to look a certain way, you re in the wrong place. I know the method is not for everyone, but your podcast felt less informative and more Tracy Anderson bashing. I am Midwest farmer s wife and mom of three.

HaliRose12Thoughtful, Funny & InsightfulLaura and Carolyn have helped me think much more positively about my body and fitness habits. They keep it light and funny on the pod while still doing thorough research and providing a lot of insight into the fitness industry. They also do a good job about thinking about their own privilege and experiences outside of their own when it comes to body image, fitness, and accessibility. As a fellow Pilates instructor I love this pod 🙌🏼

RoxanagarLoved it!You guys are so informative and funny. I almost signed up on Tracy Anderson's method... thanks for talking about her workout. Can you guys talk about The Class? I saw a video on Youtube, I'm a little confused, disturbed and curious about it. Listen I'm just a broad who wants to enjoy a workout for 30-40 minutes and lose weight. p.s Carolyn's laughter is sooo contagious!

ElleMOPAn informative and enjoyable podcast!I thoroughly enjoy listening to this podcast! It’s a great balance of education and history, debunking fitness trends, some humor, some truth talking … plus, sometimes there is a bit of “tea.” Entertaining, educational, and refreshing! Give it a listen.

NehaAgrawalGreat podcast!Great podcast and love the idea and execution of focusing on different fitness modalities and, in some cases, influencers/individual trainers. Keep up the great work!

eliserodichVery well researched!I love listening to this podcast, Laura and Carolyn both do great research and I always feel like I’m listening to topics that they’re well prepared for. I also think they’re funny and entertaining, and I’ve loved listening to all the episodes.

Sipp1234Mean girlsListened to the Tracy Anderson method episode. While I agree some of the things Tracy says and does are kooky, if you actually do follow her and watch her “cult following “ you would see there are all body types that do her workouts and I think their idea is to have more of a feminine physique. The way you two think that everyone else is wrong about things and you are right especially when you say dumb things of YOUR generation like skinny is the enemy and and white girl privilege nonsense proves that you haven’t had the years to be humbled but you will and you will have the cringe-y podcasts forever to haunt you! Peace!!

TravelingWithKristinMostly fluffThe description of this podcast says “girl talk” but it sounds more like “mean girls” talk. The 90-min episode I listened to about Tracy Anderson could have been 20 minutes long. If their intention was to turn people off from the Tracy Anderson method, it had the opposite effect. It just sounds like the hosts are jealous of her and admire her while tearing her down in an overly dramatic way to try to be controversial. I’m gonna pass…

julianna_hirshthis pod is lit! (pun intended)Carolyn and Laura are so good at keeping fit talk chill and the banter feels like you’re just vibing with the girls at a sleepover. Basement gossip vibes acquired!! Thank you for challenging how we consume fitness culture and paving the path for people to feel comfortable in the gym (finally)!

BeckiB28Fun and informative!I love this podcast- it’s like I’ve sat down with friends to chat about debunking fitness and diet culture myths, except these friends are super smart and they give me language for things like why “booty sculpting” and “fat destroyer” are just terrible names for workouts LOL. Thanks Carolyn and Laura, you rock! ❤️

rebytuesdaylike having 2 cool big sistersSUCH A FUN PODCAST. Carolyn and Laura untangle toxic wellness culture fads through a mix of research and personal storytelling. A great entry-level listen for anyone seeking more peace in their relationships to food and exercise. I wish I’d had this podcast when I was 15. It has the energy of your big sister letting you hang out in her room while she has friends over - except no one is bullying you.

hmhutson18Doesn’t feel “fit literate”Title is misleading, in my opinion. Spent two hours waiting to hear the pros and cons of the 75 hard challenge and all they did was hate on the idea of a mental toughness challenge bc (by their own admission) mental toughness is not motivating to them personally. Additionally, when they finally got down to something hinting at fit literacy, it was a lot of personal opinion about fat shaming, fad diets, etc. Lame.

HannthraxGreat body-neutral fitness pod!I love the chemistry and back-and-forth between Carolyn and Laura. They both have interesting info to contribute and it feels like being part of a conversation between old friends. If you’re looking for a fitness podcast that’s “not like other fitness podcasts”, I recommend this one! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is due to the differences in audio between the two hosts. Having to constantly adjust the volume makes it difficult to listen sometimes.

AnonneYvonneGreat content, horrible audioI want to keep listening - love the themes and issues discussed and overall the content is very engaging. But the audio is AWFUL. I am constantly adjusting the volume between the conversation because one host will be right up on the mic and the other one may as well be in another room. They also clearly don’t edit because there is also a lot of dead air, “ums” and “likes” and pauses. It’s maddening and takes away from the listening experience. Please: get a producer, an editor, a sound engineer, better mics, SOMETHING. I want to give this podcast another chance!

Under 17 and annoyedPerfect listen for my commuteJust listened to the sisyphus morning routine episode and it was such a fun listen! I have a crazy life but it accompanied to my 7am job my commute to and from school and finally finished while walking my dog and making lunch! Lots of really good points were made and I’m excited for more episodes.
