I love listening to this podcast! The guest speakers are amazing and enlightening conversations each episode.

I don’t have a lot of women in my circle, especially Muslim women but this makes me feel a part of something. I love getting to sit and listen to girl talk about life, how we can navigate the world being mindful of ourselves, our relationships and our relationship with Allah SWT! I am always left reflecting at the end of every episode. Every guest and Dounya have the best conversations and there is always something to learn/relate to!

I love this podcast! I’m always learning so much from the guests on different aspects of Islam, culture, and spirituality. I feel like Dounya does a great job on highlighting issues that are often taboo or not spoken about like divorce, miscarriage, and difficulties finding a spouse. It definitely feels like I’m not alone as a twenty something Muslim American. I can’t wait to see what episodes she has next!

This is by far one of my favorite podcasts I’ve experienced. The host is an incredibly talented interviewer who knows how to lead & shape important conversations. I love how it’s by Muslim women for Muslim women. Her guests are gems whom I have learned so much from & enjoyed listening to. It truly shows how thoughtful the host is with her guest choices, questions & topics. I simply love this podcast, & I hope it continues because I think it serves a crucial purpose for the Muslim American community as a whole. I’ve recommended it to & shared it with multiple people because it’s just that good.

Coming from someone who never listened to podcasts, I’m so glad I started with this one. Each episode shares something so relatable and I always leave it with a different perspective.

I love this podcast. It is elevated, worldly fascinating and such a rollercoaster of emotions to be unpacked in every episode. I love feeling represented, hearing my own personal thoughts and musings explored by other Muslim women and taboo topics divulged from a point of view I actually care about. This podcast is the only actual podcast I listen to. I waited to write this review until I had listened to multiple episodes and could really speak of it. And to say the least it is so refreshing. Allah encourages us to keep righteous friends for who they are is a reflection of who we are becoming. This podcast is like an extension of my friends and I share episodes of it to my friends as well and I only hope each time these episodes are played that angels surround all listeners because every episode is so grounding in our faith. Most of all I have been following Dounya for over 3 years now (I know I was shocked too haha) and to know that she is a working woman AND hosting and editing this podcast leaves me in awe subhanAllah. For anyone listening to this podcast, it’s important to know how much hardwork is going into each episode. I highly recommend tuning in to this podcast! Zaina & Dounya always say in their episodes that they really want to build a community that strives towards empowering women, and I can say, they do an amazing job at it! Many of their episodes span over so many topics and really provide so much insight and perspective on issues that many Muslim women have to face. Listening to their guests and them as well I can say I feel like I’m part of a community, and always leave feeling so enlightened. They pour so much love into these episodes, it’s almost like you’re listening to an older sister’s words. Take a listen for yourselves!

Such amazing thought provoking conversations are conducted in this podcast From mental health, to spirituality, everything is basically covered all whilst intertwining the reality of being a woman in today’s society. I recommend all women to listen to this whether you’re Muslim or not. Dounia and Zeyna make it so easy to relate to them, and it honestly feels like you’re listening in on a conversation between your older sisters. Not having that when growing up, it’s amazing to have unbiased people with unbiased opinions. Such great dialogue and poise with AMAZING guests with great credentials and intellect. I recommend this to any girl/woman at literally any stage of their life. I remember playing this out loud while helping my mom with something, and all she could say was that she was so glad a resource like this is so easily accessible for women and girls of our generation. In a social media oriented world, it’s nice to catch a break and listen to the wonderful things these ladies have to say. My favorite podcast! 2 amazing women who could be just about anyone’s friends. They’re open about their lives, and in doing so, they normalize a lot of their listeners’ struggles and anxieties. Not only do they make it OK to go through what you’re going through, but they also give helpful tips and feature women who have experience in the matter and give great tips!

I discovered podcasts recently on my phone. And for the past two months I have been listening to this podcast. It’s a lot more than just people talking. Their words reach my soul. They make me feel better at the end of the day. They give me wisdom and amazing things to always think about! Alhamdulilah! This podcast probably changes people’s lives. It definitely changed mine and still does. I always listen to the podcasts while I’m at work and it so calming. Being able to listen to Palestinian women just allows me to connect even more. I have been listening to Unswtnd+Unfltrd since about Ramadan 2020! I honestly have not been disappointed on any episodes. Every single one hits different whether or not it’s applies to our life. Well today I decided was going to go back to episodes from season one since I started on season two. I listened to episode 32 , and I can honestly say I felt like I was sitting there with these ladies having a conversation with them! Of course the conversation was going on in my head lol! I absolutely love how on every subject they cover they always say I’m not perfect or I’m struggling with this part of it. I’ve listened to many other podcasts and these two girls are genuine! A year later their conversations are real like that episode I don’t find them being hypocritical and saying I’m perfect or covering their flaws on the contrary they are showing us there struggles and I applaud to that! I’ve also reached out to them on Instagram a few times and always answered and helped if needed! God Bless you ladies and reward for all those you reach out to with your episodes and helped in so many ways!

I came across this podcast after a blogger spoke about it on her page and entered the month of Ramadan with this constantly playing in my AirPods throughout the month. This podcast feels like your talking to your closest friends. This platform makes me feel not only close to god, but even closer to myself. It challenges views, confronts unconscious thoughts we may have been listening to due to culture, and is so present with today’s day and age. I welcome women across the world to listen to this to not only feel educated but also to feel connected with yourself. Keep these podcast going girls! We love them !!!!

It’s often hard for a lot of us to make friends as adults, and even when we do have friends, it can be hard to have deep, meaningful conversations. I feel this podcast gives you both- two friends you didn’t know you would make and endless conversations that are important to have especially as women and as members of Arab communities. The podcast will spark something in you to delve into thoughtful conversations whether it’s at work, at school, or in your current social circle.

I’ve been listening to this podcast for well over a year and a half now and I can honestly say it’s shifted my perspective on so many things in my life. The open, honest conversations about topics that are generally brushed off or undermined in our culture are SO important. Transparency is everything, and Zaina and Dounya are hosts that make you feel like you know them even if you’ve never met in person. I’ve been listening to this podcast for a while now and I can’t stress enough how needed this platform is.
