    Always great
No matter what topic Rob and Hughes are discussing, you can always count on them to make it entertaining. The topics they select are great and their discussions and banter feel like hanging out with old friends. One of the best retro gaming podcasts I’ve come across and one of my favorite podcasts period. Also, they have one of the most banging intro tunes. It’s seriously awesome. Check it out!

Like hanging out in your friend’s basement…
You know the friend that had ALL the video games growing up? This podcast is like hanging out in their parent’s furnished basement playing games you never even knew existed while their mom makes you a grilled cheese sandwich and Jolt cola.

    Hue’s doll story...
This is a great show for a very niche following: retro games. In the past I’ve searched out several other retro video games podcasts and am always left wanting (most fall into the current rubbish), but Hue has been bringing it for a loooooong time... Also he has the BEST doll story involving a bed and breakfast in deepest darkest Milwaukee (I think, though admittedly it feels like a fever dream at this point). I’m hoping this is so vague it stirs enough weird questions to incite him to retell it on this new show(probably won’t 🤨). Co-host ‘the new’ Rob is cool too!

Classic gaming with a DIY twist
The spiritual successor to The Retro League podcast, host Hugues Johnson and former Retro League listener Rob from Detroit bring the same no frills pragmatism to classic game news. There’s a unique focus on programming and emulation, as well as classic computing. Rob and Hugues bring a unique perspective as professional programmers and have a great laid back, off-the-cuff style that’s great for an easy listen on the train, in your car or just doing random stuff at home. Highly recommended for the chill, yet technically inclined subset of retro gaming fandom.

    Glad Hughes is back
So glad that Hughes is back with a new podcast. He does not disappoint. His new cohost, Rob from Detroit is a welcome addition.

    Phoenix from the ashes!
Excellent show from former long time host of the retro league. Keeps in the spirit of TRL. Hugues’ is well complemented by new great and knowledgable co-host, Rob. A definite download each episode!

    Return of the Hugues
When the Retro League podcast ended unceremoniously last November I was left with a Hugues hole in my podcast feed. Finally that hole has been patched. Looking forward to hearing the show evolve.

    Retro League 2.0?
Sooo glad Hugues decided to get back into podcasting, and I think this is even better than before. Great content already and only 2 episodes so far. So far it's great! Keep it up guys!
