    Wow!’
I just wanted to tell Ryan how much I’d love this podcast and the reason I heard of you is because of Game of Crimes. I’ve listened to you there first and found here and I love it.

Sad To Say I’m Starting To Lose Interest
Let my start by saying that I have been a loyal listener to the podcast for the last 5 years. I have also enjoyed following Ryan & AJ on their other platforms for just as long. However, I must admit I am starting to lose interest in what was once, HANDS DOWN my favorite podcast to tune in to! Now I am sure I’m not the only one who feels this way. It seems as when Ryan fully stepped down from being a LEO, the show started to really deteriorate in the consistent, reliable podcast episodes. I fully get life happens, we get busy etc but man just take a look at the last years podcast episode dates compared to the year prior. If you guys aren’t going to be doing the podcast with as much effort and consistency just come out and say it upfront. It’s frustrating to see how it seems y’all are giving up on it. You guys have mentioned before how you’re sorry about this and that and that you’ll continue to drop episodes but never follow through. “We’ll see y’all next week! Peace” is how each podcast ends and then it never happens. And I’m sure this will be read on the next episode of the podcast, and that’s ok. Maybe it will catch your guys attention and can share with the listeners to see if others agree. Maybe Ryan and AJ should have their own separate podcast. It seems most of the decisions on ItsNeeded are made by Ryan anyway.

Starting to give up on this podcast
Just come out and say you guys are no longer going to do the podcast. People would rather be told you’re moving on to do something else rather than check if you post a new episode each week. I’ve been listening to you guys for a while now and there’s one thing that I’ve notice is that you start something but won’t follow through with it. This podcast is starting to be that example.

    Amazing

    Amazing
As someone who is going into law enforcement, I love listening to this every day. Keep doing what you guys are doing. I dream to be like you guys. 7/24/2023 - Update Ryan, AJ, and Billy are some of the best humans to walk this planet. Sent by God to be the change we want to see in this world while making disciples out of people in every day life. It is important to make a change in this world, especially from the law enforcement aspect. I have had the privilege of being a long time listener turned into friend of theirs. All from social media and constant DMs 😉 Happy to see so many great things come from podcast. Ryan with a book, Billy with his own studio, and AJ promotion into a bigger role with a bigger impact. Blessed to know these gentlemen and I have nothing but great things to say about them. Alex G

Man that was quite the episode guys! I have been waiting so long to hear your guys opinion on the Kim Potter situation. And boy did you guys bring some great facts to the table, like pulling up Minnesota law and comparing it to the situation I thought it was great. It was also awesome to see Ryan in a better mood, so sorry for you bro. Any ways I am a 16 year old who is inspiring to become a police officer I have listened to every episode and have loved every one even if I don’t know the topic you guys always have something for someone to take out of a episode. I have been trying to get on some ride alongs with my towns police department but the struggle is real with trying to convince my parents and to find a time, but I always kind find time to listen to one of your episodes, and that’s all I need. #ITSNEEDED. Thank you guys keep pushing - Denver Johnson Editing My Review. Still a great podcast and I love you guys. I know you guys have been really busy which is why I do not mind that you guys have been MIA. I just ask that when you guys do make a episode you guys actually have something planned to talk about and not just have to catch up with one another. Still love the podcast guys just want to here some more banger episodes, you know what i’m sayin?

    Breonna Taylor Episode
Thank you guys for your service as police officers & service to communities. You have had some of the best podcasts I have listened to over the past few months - it is one of my go to podcast series. This podcast was so informative about what actually was happening in the entire case. I blame the media for most of what’s happening in our country, I also have to say that at the end when you talked about critical thinking that is the truth. Somehow all media (social media especially) have hijacked our brains & people cant seem to think for themselves anymore. Thank you for laying it out. My son is biracial & is really struggling with all of this - I hope one day he will find your podcasts. We are so far apart on the subject I could never bring it up. Sending prayers to you guys everyday, my brothers a cop, my other sons in the navy I pray for all of you guys & my son that’s struggling with his thoughts about all of this. 🙏🏻 Utube has blacked out all Chicago mayhem from this past weekend we should boycott utube!

    Again, another great podcast
Love your guys perspective on the profession. There needs to be more people with such open minds to law enforcement. You guys are hella funny! Just listened to episode 146 and 147 during my commute to work and back home. AJ, Savage and Ryan are hilarious. People who think getting rid of LEOs have no idea the chaos that would go down. This subsection of society likes to use the latest buzz words to gain followers. It’s like someone who constantly needs to relive high school because that’s the highlight of their life. This world needs more independent thinkers who are willing to see both sides of the argument. By the way, your take on S.K. was on point. Keep doing what you guys are doing. Much love to you, AJ and Tha Savage! 🤙🏾

You guys are amazing! People now don’t realize what police do, and you do a great job of showing that the police are amazing and are desperately needed in our lives!

    MUST LISTEN
This Podcast is simply amazing! My bros AJ, Ryan, and the savage bring such an amazing perspective to the world surrounding Law Enforcement. I started following them a bit over a year ago and since then I’ve been able to share their post on IG and podcast with friends and family helping them understand that the new narrative isn’t the reality of what really happens with LEOs. I am now a current LEO going through my FTO and every podcast I find new knowledge to grow and develop the type of Officer I pray to be. I just wanna be like Aj and Ryan when I grow up naaahmmm sayin?

    Favorite Podcast
Ive been listening to the podcast about almost two years now and it is hands down the most educational, entertaining, and interactive podcast ive ever listened to. My favorite episode was episode 5 academy diaries. I love hearing the funny stories of Ryan and AJ, as I will be going to the academy next year and hope to have some funny stories to tell when I’m out. Definitely give this podcast a listen, you’ll be hooked after one episode! P.S. Billy is the goat

    My Favorite Podcast
This podcast is it. It is NEEDED. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve referenced this podcast for college and conversations with my friends about current issues. It isn’t a one sided show like everything else. It literally sides with what’s right over what’s wrong. This is one of my biggest motivators for wanting to be a police officer and I listen to every episode. The episode where Officer AJ talked about his past and pursuing this profession is hands down my favorite and I’ve listened to it several times. Thank you guys for what you do and please continue to make great content, not even just here but on your social media as well. Stay safe.

    Being comfortable with being uncomfortable
** updated review ** I’m updating my review after listening to many more episodes. I’m here to try to learn and understand LEO perspectives as I have no personal connection with anyone in LE. I appreciate your work (both on the streets and in the podcast). Since listening to your podcast, I’ve tuned into our Public Safety Committee meetings and gave feedback on funding body worn cameras AND pay raises for our officers for the new skill acquired and internal stressor. I’ve reached out to my councilor to express my support for the new C3 unit thats being formed for my ward/district in the next 6 months or so. Our other units meet weekly with residents and I look forward to seeing that in my area too. I inquired about when the next Citizens Police Academy will be held (hasn’t been held since 2017) and hopefully there will be enough interest for it to be held this fall. I also brought my son to a Coffee With a Cop event to meet our region’s Air Wing Unit. These are all things I would never in a million years imagined taking part of before listening to your podcast. I’m still uncomfortable; I don’t like being on the radar with our local LEO in any way. But I’m pushing past that discomfort in order to learn and appreciate the good work they do even more. Thank you.

    Inspiration
As someone who is looking to enter the Law Enforcement profession, this podcast has been a great source of education, insight, and inspiration for me. The work you guys do is amazing. Your love for Jesus and how grounded you are in your faith, has really inspired me to strive to be a better Christian. Every week, I look forward to hearing the new episode and gaining further insight into the profession. Last week’s episode, especially, reminded me why I began pursuing a career in LE, Ryan’s story about reuniting the missing man with his mom, really pulled some heart strings. I could listen to that episode over and over. Thank you for being an inspiration and a positive change in your communities and for putting that uniform on every day to protect others.Keep up the great work! God bless and stay safe.

    Highly Recommend
As someone who knows little about the police profession I really appreciate Ryan an AJ’s perspective. I have learned so much. They speak often about how faith guides them, which I respect greatly. I also love their commentary on how worrisome things are getting for those who lean more conservative and/or religious. Unfortunately, in today’s world their is so much division being created between races and I truly value hearing two Black men acknowledge this and have thoughtful conversations around it.

    Great Podcast
Guys, I’m not a police officer or first responder but I was in the US Navy back in the 1980’s. I started listening to your podcast a while back. You guys are awesome. Great content and I can tell you love Jesus! Thank you for what you are doing, keep up the good work. My son is a Supervisor with Raleigh Probation and Parole. I told him about the Rener Gracie episode and he should check it out. I know there is a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in Raleigh. God blessed you guys, thank you for your service and stay safe!!

Convince others that not all cops are bad
Hey guys. Fellow LEO. Love the podcast. Watched about 5 episodes so far. Not sure what episode it was but really loved how you guys compared oxygen to the 1% of cops in this profession. Because you don’t see it on an everyday basis, especially the news doesn’t mean it isn’t there. I love this podcast because it really portrays the other side of the story. It’s what the public doesn’t see on any everyday basis. The public doesn’t see this through the media and through their social media following. If this podcast can reach those people who think cops are corrupt/bad people this podcast will have a huge impact on their beliefs. We just have to get it to them. Shared your last podcast episode on FB. You guys got something going good here. Keep it up.

    Powerful & insightful
#itsneeded is the perfect name, and I just wish more ears would listen and be receptive to what these men share. As the spouse of a law enforcement officer I watched the world turn its back on those who risk everything to try and save us. This podcast helps me get a better understanding of the profession; which ultimately makes me a better wife and citizen. I wish blessings and safety for you.

    The. Best. Podcast. Ever.
This podcast is one of my favorites. They are funny, serious but super knowledgeable. It’s not only for police officers but offers more than that. They give the hope to the future for work and in life in general. Well done gentleman ❤️

    My Role Models
I absolutely love the work these guys do. Although they are not the most famous people in the world, they are people I look up to. They love their job and as someone who wants to get into law enforcement I hope to follow in their footsteps. They have set stepping stones for someone like me and I’ll forever be grateful for it. Thank you Ryan, AJ, and Billy.

    Living up to the name
These guys are insightful and their ability to stay objective is refreshing. They speak from experience and do so in a humbling manner. They’re funny and easy to listen to. The fact of their faith is what really drew me in further. Keep fighting the good fight guys and thank you for your services in your communities, as officers (and thank you for helping these guys out, to keep this podcast going, Billy). Prayers for continued growth in this podcast along with growth in your lives. Be well

    Dope podcast!
This is one of my favorite podcasts to tune into. These guys have a refreshing perspective on law enforcement and current events. They approach things in an objective and common sense way, and that’s what we need more of today. This really is needed!

    Prior Corrections Officer
Last year I got the courage to walk away from my career as a corrections officer and start fresh. It was a scary thought as I had been doing the job now for over 10 years. I am now doing something completely different but I have a huge heart for law enforcement and the public service customers aka the community. I love the mission of BBU and the #itsneeded podcast. My only complaint is I wish I had found you guys sooner! I have now binge listened to all the podcasts and am caught up and relistening to them in reverse order while I work. I feel like your podcast is something I needed that has been missing in my life for a long time!! Don’t ever change who you are! Your faith is inspiring. Thanks again guys.

    Amazing insight and inspiration
I am a high school student and aspiring police officer and your podcast is my favorite thing to listen to while I’m at work and doing other tasks. It gives me a great inside look into the field and great advice that I will not only carry on duty but also throughout other life situations. Thank you guys for your service and keep up the good work.

#Itsneeded - a look in policing and community
Now disclaimer on this review: I’ve been a listener now since the killing of George Floyd. Ryan’s take opened the doors to this wonderful podcast and reflected my personal feelings about that tragic event as a LEO myself. I’m admittedly a bit biased towards this show because of my own experiences in the profession. This show pulls back the curtain on law enforcement and I believe it’s good for people to hear different perspectives. The conversation is innately polarizing in today’s social and political climate, but #ITSNEEDED does a wonderful job in its attempt to bridge the gap between policing and the community. For me personally, I’ve worked very hard to model myself after the ideals and ethics of law enforcement, but this show is a penchant reminder that empathy, education, and hard work is not a destination, but a lifelong journey. A journey that recommit to everyday. On the community side, Ryan, AJ, and Billy all do their best to draw from their personal experiences to bring a dynamic to the show that makes it relatable. These are real people who were a part of the community before they were officers (or a part of this show). Additionally, they bring in a wide variety of guests from faith leaders, LE leaders, and community activists for a conversation that is unique and building. Specifically, the episodes with Leon Ford were very powerful and worth the time of revisiting. Plus the guys are just great personalities for podcasts - it’s a good balance. Lastly, to anyone that reads this review, if you subscribe to “ACAB” ideology, I challenge you to give it a listen. I think many people who support BLM believe that police and black lives are antithetical. That binary, however, really undermines the need that both sides have to work together to achieve the change we seek. Some people, and I know quite a few, would shrug this off as a police apologist podcast or “copaganda,” but the reality is the world is far more nuanced than many give it credit for and this conversation is no different. Break through the echo chambers because #ITSNEEDED.

Thank you from a Utah LEO
Thank you for what you are doing to bridge the gap between law enforcement and our communities. When we do our jobs correctly as Police Officers, we are truly doing God’s work. God bless you for representing us LEOs and having difficult conversations to solve issues and come up with solutions. Be safe out there brother. God is in control. Thanks Ryan and AJ

    Black & Blue
Hey guys! I found y’all on Instagram (Tillman’s take) and I swear it’s the most real page I’ve ever followed when it comes to Law Enforcement, Rea issues, and the community. I was ready to hang it up— after 4 short (long) years. But, after listening to the “I’m not here to get you to like the police”— it made me realize again, why I do what I do. It’s so incredibly difficult right now, but I know that deep down, my heart is where it’s supposed to be. My life, has been shaped into my dream come true since I put my badge on. I love what you guys do and I’m going to tell all my guys and girls to listen!

    Eye opening and inspirational
This is perfect place to find unbiased facts and a better understanding of the current events we are so deeply effected by in today’s society. These guys give great advice and are inspirational for law enforcement... but as a wife of a cop I find solace listening as well. I think I can say my worry for my husband and his profession is much higher than his own. Or maybe that’s just what he wants me to believe. I get ease of mind knowing that there are people out there who get it and support the men and women protecting and serving their communities. My biggest take away from their podcast is how important it is to try and be understanding of other people and their views, even when they seem so incredibly misguided. We can’t just cut people out of our lives because we have different opinions. I love how these guys accept everyone, even those who bash them on a daily basis for what they do. That is inspirational in itself and has taught me that this world needs more people like that, and I’m going to do my best each day to be one of them. We can all still be united though we have different opinions. Even if you hate my husband and what he does I will still love you and try an educate you of the hero he is to myself and so many others. Grateful for these guys and what they are doing. I hope more people listen and get as big of a takeaway from it that I’ve had. #ITSNEEDED

    Much Needed!
I made a hard choice to leave my law enforcement career after 10 years. I was jaded and cynical and, as a believer, I was not happy with where I was at mentally and spiritually. More to that, but suffice it to say, the #ITSNEEDED podcast is some of the best content for an aspiring, current or former LEO. And I appreciate the faith aspect and closing with a prayer! Keep up the amazing work you two...three, counting Billy!
