They all have bills to pay.” However, please do remember that the late Queen specifically instructed H&M could NOT earn money from their past Royal connections. We in America mostly dislike them intensely. They are both true hypocrites

This guy Chris barely lets the other hosts talk. Totally shutting down the comments of the one woman, stepping all over her comments and finally taking over altogether. Oh my! Don’t think I can listen again. This is quite painful.

I love following the Royals. I have since I was a kid. I used to enjoy this podcast, but can no longer listen to them and just unsubscribed. First, they are so pro Harry/Meghan, it’s ridiculous. Even now in 2025 when the world has finally caught on to their grift. But to add insult to injury, they excuse every bad behavior Meghan does to the fact that she is American. Um no, being a bully is NOT an American trait. Treating servants like they are beneath you is not because she is American. While I’ll agree Americans aren’t as courteous as Brits, her behavior is disgraceful and most Americans would agree. The final straw came for me when they made excuses for their disaster tourism of the California fires. It’s obvious they did no journalism here because if they did, they would have discovered they brought their film crew with them. And they were let in BEFORE residents were allowed in. The King is Head of State. If he tours an area it’s for a reason. The same thing with the Royal Family. Comparing H&M to them was ridiculous and just lazy. They offer NOTHING in the U.S. They are D List celebrities if that. Save your time and listen to obstructive royal podcasts that offer true insight instead of Sussex propaganda.

There is a gaping lack of chemistry between hosts Chris and Lizzie. He seems to want to overwhelm, interrupt, and generally talk over her every word. She may take longer to form her thoughts, but there is Chris, interrupting her mid-sentence every time! I don’t think Chris knows his to listen. I’m out.

Is there any way the female podcaster could have some space to speak. It’s insufferable to have to endure the constant interruption from the guy. Can they not take turns and can he stay in his lane when she has got something to share so we can finally hear it. He keeps derailing the conversation. Hard to listen to but interesting material.

Hard to listen to because the male commentator constant interrupts, corrects and talks over the female commentator. He will ask for her opinion and then within seconds cut her off every single episode!

The incessant interruptions when Lizzy is speaking are rude, unprofessional, distracting and make the podcast all but unlistenable. Please let her voice be heard.

I am incredibly disappointed in the coverage of the Princess of Wales and Chris Ship acting as if she ran over his family cat. It’s ironic that he pulled his photo down that had been heavily photoshopped once caught being a hypocrite. Love Lizzy but not enough to continue to listen. I am an American and am appalled at how this woman is treated. Who in their right mind would want to join the Royal family?

I can hear Lizzie can not hear Chris ! Please bring the voices up to even so I don’t have to change my volume with each speaker !

Love the level of info that’s shared on this show, but the production values make listening difficult, particularly the volume discrepancies between the hosts.

The content is amazing but Cris really needs to quit interrupting Lizzy when she speaks. I can imagine it irritates her also. The show is great and I love how detailed the information is!

Hey there! Does anyone at ITV actually read the reviews? It's really important that someone takes the time to read them and have a chat with Chris. He seriously needs to stop interrupting Lizzie all the time. It's becoming a recurring issue and most of the reviews mention how unhappy they are with it. I'm not kidding, about 97% of the reviews express dissatisfaction with how Chris treats Lizzie. You should check them to see for yourself. Not only does he interrupt her, but he also tries to quiz her on things. There have been instances where Lizzie has stopped him, and you can sense her frustration. Chris needs to put an end to his unnecessary rude comments during the show, stop testing her on things, and definitely quit interrupting Lizzie. Lizzie is fantastic on the podcast, and she's always a joy to listen to. She puts up with Chris most of the time, but there have been a few occasions where you can hear her dissatisfaction - you can hear it in her voice. On the other hand, it seems like Chris couldn't care less. Initially, I was going to rate the show 2 or 3 stars, but I didn't want it to negatively impact Lizzie, so I settled for 4 stars. However, if Chris continues on this path, I'll start rating the show 1 star every time. By the way, this is a podcast about the Royal Family, so you would expect that ITV would have someone who at least respects them. Chris's attitude towards the Royal Family leaves a lot to be desired. It sounds like he dislikes all of them, and that's not acceptable for someone in the role of Royal editor. If he feels that strongly against the monarchy, why is he in that position? ITV or someone with authority over the podcast needs to address all of these concerns with Chris and hopefully people will comeback to the show.

I followed this to hear about the royals. It seems the hosts are more in love with the Sussexes and their antics and lies. Also had to unfollow on all other social media accounts. Maybe if they get back to reporting on the good work the REAL royals are doing I will follow again. Until then there are too many other reporters to follow who actually do a good job reporting on the working royals who actually work as opposed to sell lies to the highest bidders.

I would love to listen more, but Chris you must stop interrupting Lizzie… she can’t finish a sentence without you jumping in. Go easier on the coffee - or have a jog before the show. We want to hear from her!

This podcast could be so good but the male host is so pompous and rude to the female host. He talks over her, degrades her and it is very distracting and disheartening as a listener.

Appreciate some of the on the ground insight but the fake outrage and pretentious discussion of the Royal Family is a bit much. Supposedly the reporters job is to know the family inside out, but yet they try to pretend that Harry might be out of the line of succession, that Archie & Lilibet aren’t Prince and Princess by birthright, etc etc. It’s almost as if they create fake outrage for likes and listens…

Lizzie and Hugh have exceptional chemistry!! I loved hearing what he had to say and he was so nice to Lizzie instead of Chris Ship always talking down to her. I quit listening when Chris is on there. Today with Hugh was delightful!! Lizzie deserves a wonderful cohost!!

I love this show and particularly enjoyed the shows last podcast with the man from the Buckingham Palace news room . He was excellent . He had good analysis and he and Lizzy seemed to pair well . He is an improvement from Chris Ship’s brashness. I do wish we had gotten some kind of announcement of the abrupt change of format . I hope the show will continue with the format as it was this week . Those special topic shows were rather niche for American audiences. They are interesting once in awhile but do not work as a weekly format . I will continue Listening with great interest to the new format . An American listener

The girl on the show is a total idiot. Must be some work for the male host to carry the conversation with such an air head. But then again he doesn’t sound so smart himself either.

Of all the ridiculous things said about the H&M Netflix series on the Jan 6 episode was the podcasters’ apparent offense to Meghan talking about her first meeting with Her Majesty. M so obviously wasn’t mocking her husband’s grandmother the Queen, about whom she spoke throughout the series with warmth, reverence, and respect. She was mocking HERSELF — how little she knew about royalty and the protocols beforehand, how unprepared she was as an ignorant American, and how silly she must have looked the first time she gave a very clumsy curtsy. After all, they relate she only found out a few minutes before the event she was meeting the Queen. As a non-Royal watcher before meeting Prince Harry, she was very unprepared. I’m not listening anymore. You are engaging in outrage for sport. Your bias is too obvious.

He constantly interrupts and talks over her. Lizzie is completely the opposite; too meek and soft spoken. It’s a shame because she often has the more informed point of view.

I like the Royal Rota podcast. I think it’s one of the best and pretty straight forward . But for all your complaining about Kate and Will being so over shadowed by the shenanigans of M&H, talking about how “ what is on the front page, not EarthShot news but The Netflix teaser,” etc yet there you were talking about mostly , almost all of your podcast , just that! You could have mentioned it , then got on with the important work of William and Kate, just as your would have if none of those distraction had happened. Megan and Harry are so media savvy . They play the media like a violin. Just stop talking about them. Stop helping creat the monster. They are only relevant because the media is making then so. Ignore them. Who really cares what the say. It is so obvious this is a staged and premeditated film. You would have to be pretty naive to not see that. Harry and Megan will be brought up short by the very media they are courting. It always happens. American press will turn on them. Especially when they see that William and Kate are so dignified. Doing great work and trying to change that massive lumbering institution they were born into. There won’t be anymore drama to exploit. And if they help bring down the monarchy , we’ll that is their very bread and butter… and then what will they make their money off? The only reason anyone in America cares about the. Is because Harry is a prince , but he is about to shot himself in the foot. Egan and Harry have the ability to do good and important work, and they should just get on with it. But they will never have William’s platform. How unfortunate that they can’t work together.

Interesting but would be much better is Chris learned to stop interrupting Lizzie and guests. He also talks too fast.

Podcasts are much more fun to listen to when the commentators seem to be friends and enjoy working with each other. The male presenter (Chris?) is extremely biting and critical. There is so clearly tension between him and his colleague. It’s wearing to listen to. Even though I’m interested in the content I just don’t enjoy listening.

I would like for Lizzie to give clear, unambiguous opinions. All of her comments are surrounded by “maybe,” “perhaps,” and “that’s how it might be perceived.”

He talks over his Co-host all the time and is both condescending and ill informed, on the whole it’s sort of a train wreck. An inane podcast.

Chris has very little respect for Lizzie it seems. He shouts over her quite frequently as I guess he thinks what he has to say is of utmost importance.

While I listen to this podcast occasionally, I get tired of Chris’s chauvinistic tendencies and the anti-Sussex comments.

Chris has got to stop interrupting Lizzie, and he barely masks his criticism against Harry and Meghan. On last week's episode (February 25) he joked that the Sussexes have a penchant for filing court cases. I notice there are no such jokes about Prince Andrew's legal problems. Report it and move on. All that being said, I enjoy the weekly news round-up, fun facts, and interesting guests.

One can literally hear the vitriol in Chris’ voice every time he talks about the Sussexes. He states repeatedly that Harry and Meghan are no longer royal; however, he still reports on their activities. I guess he’s gotta get those clicks somehow otherwise his podcast would be pretty bland.

I’m sure all reporters and so called journalists have opinions on what they are reporting on. I don’t understand why they leave Chris who obviously doesn’t really want to be reporting on this subject. For example: Kate does recycle her clothes quite a bit but he has no research on any of the family members. He should do this before sharing an opinion. Also he leases hast to state before the fashion of the royals come up that he knows nothing about it. It comes across that fashion is silly and just a women’s interest and of course he wouldn’t know. There are a lot of podcasts about the royals. This one seems to have a slight bias. Please let me make my own decision without your opinion pushed in. Because honestly I don’t care to hear yours. This just seems like a job he does no behind the scenes work for. He just shows up. And his female co worker has to fill in the meat of the program. She does care about reporting accurately and efficiently for the viewers. Please find her a better co worker that’s not so mysoginistic

As an Anglophile I am frequently checking out royal podcasts. I’m still on the hunt for one that is balanced and fair to both Windsor factions. I have yet to find one, so I listen to Pro-Sussex and Pro-Cambridge pods to find truth in the middle. This one is clearly team Cambridge. I was looking for a new Pod that was pro-Cambridge, but I can’t even with this one. I enjoyed the producer Lizzie and appreciated the content and access to the royals. I just can’t stand the editor and co-host, Chris. He’s pompous, arrogant, and irritating. He constantly interrupts his co-host and confuses funny banter and teasing with male micro-aggressions. Example- he repeatedly brought up the fact that Tim Laurence was at the Chelsea Flower Show after Lizzie wasn’t sure. A couple of times with humor would have worked. But he was over the top, we get it-move on. I listened to about 10 episodes, some of the early ones and recent episodes (Sept-Oct 2021).

Fair coverage generally. Nice pace. Knowledgeable and informative hosts. Agree with others that the male host needs to stop interrupting and speaking over the female host. Appreciate the balanced take on the younger royals, not biased, gushing or fangirling. Not all about establishing woke performative credentials. Thank you! Good guests.

It would be SOOOOO much better if Chris would stop bloody interrupting and talking over Lizzie. You ask her a question but don’t let her answer. Do better!

I listened to a few episodes, and so far, so good. I’m American, so the royal family is just a fun distraction. I think the Queen is really admirable, and I loved her coronavirus speech (so much better than what we heard from our idiot President-at-the time). I plan to watch Prince Philip’s funeral. So sad that she lost her husband of 73 years. But as an American, I want the royals on that side of the pond. Please take Harry and his woke wife back! Their press machine is pumping out constant “look at me, look at me, I’m such a victim of oppression,” blah blah. Did these jerks not leave because they wanted privacy? We don’t want them here.

If I had to cohost this show with Chris, would be in jail by now. Chris’s constant need to interrupt and prove his perceived superiority is just too much. I’m a fan or royal news, but I cannot bear to listen any longer to this podcast.

This podcast works for those who are neither staunch monarchists nor the opposite, but just want to know the news. These two are real journalists reporting Royal news, not wannabe drama show hosts trying to make a buck winning one side or the other. Thanks for keeping up with a real show for more reasonable listeners.

Way too much favoritism and bias towards Meghan and against Kate and the Cambridges- especially about the “Oprah” interview. Only shared quotes from viewers that agreed with Meghan about the royal family being racist even though the majority of people in the U.K. were outraged and annoyed of two multi millionaires complaining about their “unsurvivable” privileged lives during a global pandemic. According to polling, most citizens in the U.K. think they should be stripped of their titles. The hosts didn’t mention that. They literally avoided criticizing Harry and Meghan in any way. Way too pro Meghan instead of giving air time to both points of view.

I enjoy Chris and Lizzie’s weekly recap of all things royal family.

After the way your station has caved to pressure from Harry & Meghan and the belief you have in every one of their inconsistent statements, I just can’t tolerate listening to you anymore. BTW, I am a an American WOC married to a red head and we had MANY conversations between ourselves and relatives wondering how the genes would shake out. So just shut up about this being racism, wondering this, is not racist! Taking you off my list of podcasts!

Saying race is no big deal in the UK and it’s only an issue when “someone brings it up” lots of Meghan MarkLe hate, basically perpetuates the narrative that the UK tabloids do: Meghan is the all controlling Hollywood actress who bullied her way thru the royal family and had it in her plans all along to whisk Harry away back to the states for “freedom” and to “control the narrative”. Pitiful.

Do the two of you realize how much higher your ratings would be if Chris would stop interrupting and talking over Lizzie? I know people who’ve stopped listening specifically because of that some reason. It’s not fair - it shouldn’t effect your ratings but it is. MAJORLY. Other than that. Jolly good show.
