    Why do I still receive ads when I’ve paid for a subscription ? So frustrating. I’d also like to have no references to Gay lifestyles. Not everyone finds this agreeable or soothing for sleep. So I really can’t recommend to a young family member who I know struggles with insomnia.

    Something peaceful in a hectic world
    I’ve been listening to the nothing much podcast since 2020. The pandemic brought a lot of stress and anxiety for so many people, but NMH helped me find a sense of peace. Now my partner and I listen to nothing much happens almost every single night and allow it to gently lull us into listen to a peaceful sleep. I love how much the world of the podcast has grown over the past 15 seasons and it’s so lovely to get to know the characters even without much happening. I also really enjoyed the daytime version of the podcast the village of nothing much because I actually make it to the end of those stories and don’t immediately fall asleep. I recommend this podcast to so many people who are struggling with sleep and have included it and it’s part of a healthy sleep hygiene routine for me. I promise this will bring a smile to your face and a number of sweet dreams through the night.

    I LOVE NMH!!
    I’ve been listening to this pod before bed nearly every night for about a year or more now, and let me just tell you, ITS SO PERFECT. Her voice is soothing and calming to me, and I have finally conditioned my brain to where I can fall asleep in just about 5min after the introduction. Another feature that I love is the sleep timer! Since I do typically fall asleep somewhere within the first reading of the story, I like to rewind 5-10min in an attempt to hear the entire story over multiple nights. My sleep timer is always set to 15min and I’m always out before it cuts off. I highly recommend NMH to anyone who needs a little extra help falling asleep at night! It’s helped me so much, so I know it can help you too! Just try it!😊

    I used to really like this podcast. There’s a full 10 minutes (!!!) of ads at the beginning now? It’s nuts. There are plenty of other sleep podcasts where you don’t have to listen to an insane amount of ads

    This podcast cured my insomnia, I recommend it to anyone having sleep issues or problems winding down at night. I listen to it as I get ready for bed and fall asleep within 5-10 minutes, it used to take me so long and my mind would be racing. I definitely notice a difference if I take a night or two off from listening. I especially like the stories with Crumb and Marmalade!

    I love this podcast, that’s why I’m not giving it one star, but the ads are insane! I look at my phone and 6 minutes of ads have been going on, like I get it, we all want to make money with stuff but giving me things to buy while it’s 11pm at night after a 13 hour shift is extremely annoying.

    Really good podcast for bed I love using this to go to bed and makes it nice with Apple Podcasts having a sleep timer so you can play it and it will turn of the podcast after a bit anyways totally recommend checking this out

    Kathryn’s voice can be soooo soothing. Unfortunately, I agree with the others stating their frustration with the ads. Yes, we want you to make money, you’ve earned it! Requests regarding ads - please only have them at the beginning and please use a softer tone. I will visit but cannot use it at bedtime 😞. The sprinkled in ads don’t make me want to pay for a subscription, just find something different to listen to and I feel awful because I adore you, Kathryn. Ultimately, I’m excited to see your brand growing.💞

    I love this podcast so much it’s the best thing I’ve ever heard you have such a soothing voice and it puts me in to sleep without this podcast I “can’t sleep” trust me I’ve tried to sleep without this podcast. Also, I am a kid and I am 10. Do you have any merchandise for kids? I think it’s a good idea for the next wind down box. You could do a kids wind down box It is amazing that you could do three podcasts at once. Nothing much happens, the village of nothing much, first this. You do a great job. P.s.please do more episodes on the inn, marmalade, and crumb.🏨🐱🐶 And maybe an episode of which the inn before the innkeeper got the inn and after the inn keeper got the inn. Before-🏚️. After-🏨

    ads are bloody ridiculous
    I used to love this podcast. i still like it a lot and it’s so soothing. however, the ads have gotten INSANE. i’m fine with ads at the very beginning to get them out of the way, and then get into sleeping, but now you’re actually beginning the podcast and then adding MORE ads after the first few minutes of relaxation?? seriously??? that’s just ridiculous!!! i have already started to relax, maybe even drift off to sleep and the ads jolt me back awake. completely defeats the purpose of a sleep podcast and is so inconsiderate to the listener. i understand you need to make money but put them all at the beginning, not in the middle, for gods sake! this will cause me and so many others to stop listening.

    It is really good, but def has some flaws
    I have used this podcast for a pretty long time now, and whereas it does work well at getting me to sleep and calming anxiety, here are a few things I have noticed that you(as a current or future listener might want to know) 1.)She talks a lot about LGBTQ and i know that for a lot of people that is comforting, but that personally stresses me out and there is no warning of the mentions of it, and that really bugs me. Also, there is no need for her to clarify her gender ideology beliefs and it really feels like she is trying to show it on me. Personally, this subject is stressful and aggravating and is not sleep inducing to anyone, and the only point in including it is trying to show LGBTQ down our thoughts. this is the most upsetting factor 2.) some of the episodes are witchcraft based and they are a little weird 3.) her voice changes about halfway through the show, and her voice in the newer episodes is a lot faster and less relaxing 4.)THE ADS!!!😡 there are so many ads!!! there used to not be any, but recently, she has added them into nearly every episode, and they are loud and upbeat, which stresses me out and does not make me ready to go to bed. also, she has ads after he main 3-5 minutes of ads about all of her products that she wants us to spend money on, but i am not trying to worry about money, or what will happen with the cat and a christmas tree, or a weighted pillow(🙄) when i just want sleep and anxiety relief 5.) most of the good and interesting plots are premium episodes, and i have to scroll through like 500 unsorted episodes to find the good ones 6.) Sundays are always referred to as “lazy sundays” with “absolutely nothing to do” and this makes me upset and i find it extremely unrelatable as a Christian who spends time with God Sunday, and I do not want those ideals pushed onto me. overall, the podcast works how it is needed, but there are many flaws that I wish I had been warned about before I made it such a strong habit. If anyone from the staff is reading this, please consider these changes, because it would make the environment much more relaxing!

    I was prepared for the ads. I listened to the 3 fast paced ads, then came the intro in a slow, relaxing voice which I thought meant the podcast was beginning. I was already relaxing, the brain training from listening to NMH for a long time had worked! Then, instead of starting the story, here comes another ad; one I had just heard, in a fast-paced cadence which jerked me back to fully awake, and quite annoyed. I abandoned the episode and found something else. Now, I don’t want to try another episode— the brain training has backfired.

    Not to be dramatic but this truly has changed my life. I can’t sleep without it. I play it out loud for my toddler at his bedtime and we’re both sound asleep in minutes. I hope many more people find this and are as comforted and rested as I have been.

    Ads Are Getting Ridiculous
    I never minded a couple of minutes of ads in a podcast. I figured it's just the price I pay for listening for free. But Nothing Much Happens has gone from 2-3 minutes of ads (tolerable) to 7-10 minutes. A full 1/3 of the length of the podcast. I'm asleep before the ads start. I suspect this is a "well, if you don't like the ads subscribe!" ploy, but it's going to turn more people away than lure in.

    Excellent way to fall asleep!
    I have listened to this podcast many nights when I find it difficult to fall asleep. At first I wondered if it would work for me with stories without much of a storyline, but it's absolutely perfect. I fall asleep very quickly every time. And unlike some sleep podcast I listen to, I find this one is particularly good when I wake up in the middle of the night and have trouble getting back to sleep. Bravo!
