This is a very enjoyable podcast. The hosts are witty and they provide a humorous look at what should be a much better show than it is at the moment. As a longtime fan of EastEnders, it’s nice to know someone is out there who celebrates its good moments but also shares in my frustration! 😂

They’ve also built an amazing community of fans of the podcast who interact in a friendly way with each other and the hosts. If you want a deeper dive into the goings on in Albert Square, this is the place.

My fave weekly podcast, listening from the East Coast of the US I love Ben & Alex's fantastic commentary. They break down each episode in such depth plus so many extra special features about the show past and present. Love this duo, they are witty, and highly entertaining. Such great chemistry and banter between them. I find myself laughing out loud with them. Best Eastenders commentary out there.

If you are a fan of EastEnders, you will love this podcast. The hosts are a hoot plus full of fun facts. They review the week with humor and true affection for the cast and show. They plum fun, silly games. It is a great little listen on the way to work

If you hear someone guffaw loudly in public for no obvious reason, they might have EastEnders Weekly Podcast on their earphones. Ben and Alex do a brilliant job recapping the week on EastEnders, offering opinions, providing some history and backstory, doing quizzes and games (personal favorite: Where Is Halfway’s Hat?), and sharing listeners’ reactions. A Sunday-morning treat.

Listening to this wonderful podcast has become a fun, relaxing Sunday morning tradition for me. Whether you’re new to EastEnders or have been tuning in since 1985, there is something for every fan. Hosts Ben and Alex have a wonderful chemistry, and are extremely knowledgeable about all eras of the program. This is no boring blow-by-blow recap. They hit all the high points of the week’s episodes in a breezy manner, humorously pointing out what worked and what didn’t. Though they are obviously huge fans of EastEnders, these are not fanboys who are afraid to criticize the show when they think something or someONE is not working. They do it though from a sense of true affection for EastEnders and a desire for it to be top notch. Interspersed with the recaps are fun games that listeners can play along with at home. They help you gauge your own EastEnders IQ and also encourage you to explore earlier episodes and eras of the program so you learn more about the fascinating history of the show. There are also occasional interviews with cast members of the past and present. One with Linda Davidson, who played Punk Mary during the show’s formative years, was absolutely delightful! I would love to hear more of these conversations in the future on the podcast. There is a great sense of interactivity with this podcast thanks to the efforts of the hosts to take every opportunity to reach out to fellow fans. Through discussions on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram a very friendly community of EastEnders fans has arisen. This community has almost become a third character on the podcast through the readings of shout-outs, emails and in-jokes. I work odd hours. A long commute requires me to wake up at midnight and go to bed very early. Living in the U.S, my regular pre-bedtime tradition has become watching the day’s EastEnders episode via the BritBox app. This podcast is the perfect supplement, and I recommend it to any fan of the show!

I've only been watching Eastenders since October, and I'm already hopelessly hooked to the point that a supplemental podcast is a must. The duo formed by these two soft-spoken true fans is just what I need since, as an American, I don't know anyone else who keeps up with the square. They're really funny and they know the show well enough to provide background and help fill in the blanks for newcomers. If they can keep it spoiler-free, it'll be the perfect podcast for the show in my opinion.
