This pod is the best cubs podcast there is. Sam and Matt are both knowledgeable and hilarious. They actually know what they are talking about when it comes to the cubs and MLB. Listening to this pod is like talking with my buddies about the cubs. Gets me through the ups and downs of the season and definitely through the off season as well.

The people who hate on this show are so smug 🤣, just reading through the negative reviews. This is a ACTUAL fan podcast, they bring high energy and it’s easy to tell they are real fans. They won’t sugarcoat it and have made me the most into a Cubs season I have been in a while this year. Cubs went 22–39 for two months - did you expect them to be jolly and glee about that? No. They are actual fans and we were playing piss poor. I don’t understand the expectation that podcast hosts can’t show emotion or voice valid opinions. It makes the show so much better, bc you know they will tell it straight. Keep up the good work fellas, keep doing you. Listen daily now for two motions and will continue coming down the stretch.

Great podcast. Always keeping it real. Appreciate the honesty

While at times I’ve enjoyed this podcast and the discussion about the day to day, the amount of hot takes continue to increase across the season. There seems to be little use to listen to these venting session episodes. It’s kind of unfortunate.

I started listening to this podcast last year with mixed results. The new hosts are fantastic, and the regular episodes are something I look forward to every day.

Over react to every single play and result on X during the games and for second straight year blames the manager. Just sign of 2 dudes who don’t know the game and just react emotionally to everything. Used to enjoy it but Olbur has gotten to be too much

10 minutes into this podcast and my ears are bleeding listening to this guy Sam. Not everybody should have a mic or an opinion. The dude is horrible, if you want this show to grow, he needs to be removed. Jesus Christ. Look elsewhere for more logical Cubs based podcasts folks. This dude Sam is GARBAGE.

This is my favorite podcast to start my day off with! Matt and Sam share my passion for the Cubs and have done an amazing job of making us all feel like we are a community of fans that go through the ups and downs of our team together. They are funny, knowledgeable and have excellent chemistry together, which is what makes the show great!

Matt and Sam do a great job giving you a daily dose of Cubs news while providing a little comedic relief. Enjoy the show very much.

Sam is a smug arrogant diva of a little man. The show would be great WITHOUT Sam. I feel bad for Matt to have Sam as a partner. Sam just bow out now and save us all from your ten cent takes.

Like being stuck to a dive bar floor next to the loudest dumbest morons in town I listened for a while and it was hellish but since I love the Cubs, I kept going but the more I listened the dumber it gets

How are you talking as if the season has started and its june? Very confused by the latest episode.

Matt bought on a funny clip. He set it up in such a fun way, “Sam, I know you haven’t heard this before.” He played it. It was really funny. Sam ignored it entirely. “Oh! I remember what I was going to say before …” Sam has trouble listening and it annoys me. Passion is cool but it’s not cool if it makes you sort of rude.

Are these dude’s okay? They are ranting, raving, and sound delirious. I’m all for some critical discussion of the Cubs organization. But that’s not even what these guys bring. They sound completely off their rocker. I recommend they try some meditation and step away from the mic.

As a life long and come from many generations Cub Fan who lives in Texas (originally from Chicago) I enjoy the podcast . I like hearing the perspective of people in the Chicago area and who are fans with a lot knowledge about the players and the league.

Matt and Sam know their stuff. They have great chemistry too. Sam’s angry rants crack me up and when Matt gets fired up he threatens to move mountains to get problems fixed. Keep it rolling, boys. Also, although someone else is being given credit for being the original everydayer, I believe that in fact, I am the original. I listened every day before Matt and Sam took over. They happen to be a significant upgrade over their predecessor.

Locked on Cubs is one of my favorite sports podcasts because it’s just a couple of funny fans talking Cubs. Which isn’t to say they don’t know their stuff or get into the stats— they absolutely do— it’s just more enjoyable listening to REAL Cubs fans talk about the Cubs rather than some detached, impartial baseball beat writers. Never miss an episode and I always find myself laughing.

These guys are amazing. They deliver all cubs news in the greatest way. Also provide insightful opinions on controversial cubs moves.

Matt & Sam are required listening for any Cubs fan. As an out of state Cubbie fan I get to 3-4 games at Wrigley and a hand full of Iowa Cubs but mostly listen to games with Pat and Ron. My daily dose of Cubs is Locked On Cubs with Matt & Sam. Nothing better than celebrating win with the boys after a close game or venting after a loss.

Sam and Matt have done a great job this year holding my hand through all the ups and downs of a wild 2023 season. As an out of state Cubs fan, it’s great to have a quick place I can catch up on what’s going on with the Cubbies each day since I can only watch a handful of games each month.

I started watching locked on cubs this year for the first time. I am 75 and a long time cubs fan. I am disappointed in waving the white flag when cubs are still in the thick of it. Things change fast in baseball. I lived through the 1969 debacle. Crushing but I still loved that team. This team is a memorable one. How memorable? We will see.

By far the best Cubs podcast! I’m a misplaced Cubs fan so I use this show to stay informed on all things Cubs everyday. I love Matt and Sam’s passion.

I have been an every day listener since April 2023 and have never been disappointed. Matt and Sam are a great team. Matt is more analytical and gives you a great summary of the prior game, stats on the team, and the likelihood of winning. Sam is much more off the cuff from his heart but yer equally insightful. Often I’ll watch a game and think “why would David Ross make this move” and then Sam will bring it up and analyze it the next day. Sometimes if I can’t watch a game, I just listen to Locked On Cubs and feel like I saw it.

Fantastic breakdowns, in-depth analysis and information from two hosts who aren’t afraid to let their passion for the Cubs take center stage. Always my first go to podcast when it comes to Cubs baseball. I’m happy to be an every dayer and subscribe to this great show!

Good podcast but man Sam is real annoying when he decides to change the way he talks. I can’t stand that stupid draw out of the end of words.

A lot of the older reviews complain about a host who is no longer with the show. New hosts are much better and have great chemistry

The hosts consider themselves the best Cubs podcast around but they have the worst actually reporting on the team of any Chicago Cubs related podcast I listen to currently. They speculate on things with no evidence or research or fact finding. They also beg for positive reviews through giveaways which is unethical and negates the validity of every review posts during the giveaway.

This is my go-to Cubs podcast. The hosts bring the perfect balance of being passionate fans and intelligent analysis to the table. Looking forward to a great season!

Just started listening this week as we get closer to the start of the season. Going to two spring training games this weekend. The guys do a great job. Go Cubs!

Locked on Cubs brings the passion that die hard fans possess to podcast form. Sam is the guy you start a conversation with in the bleachers until you realize that he lives and breathes the North Side, and Matt plays the straight man in this genuine, honest, and committed duo. Their podcast popped up on my suggested listens one day, and since then I’ve made the Cubs fans in my life listen to an episode or two, at least once. Their passion and hard work are unparalleled. They deserve credit for steadily creating a fan base during one of the more hopeless times this franchise has seen over the last decade, and I can’t wait to listen to them every day when the Cubs actually compete for a division again. Locked on Cubs has become a part of my home, and I don’t end a day without catching their newest episode.

Matt and Sam bring their personalities and their baseball opinions and expertise into this show, making it entertaining whether things are going on with the Cubs or not so much. It’s a great listen every single day. You can’t go wrong with Matt, Sam and Locked On Cubs

These guys have taken me from a casual fan to “Locked On”. They are the perfect blend of baseball and humor. I find myself learning a lot about the Cubs and baseball in general, and routinely laugh out loud with the banter between the hosts.

Sam you are the Hebrew Gangsta and Matt is the Professa of Cub podcasts with his cerebral offerings. I’ve tried about 6 Cub podcasts and this is the best. I’m a Cajun Cub fan from New Roads La - give me that jersey!

With baseball season fast approaching, I love listening to every episode Matt and Sam put out. Even with no news weeks in the off-season, they still find fun and interesting topics to talk about. The show has a upbeat vibe, unless Sam is complaining about the last game, but I honestly love it. They both bring their own views and passion to talking about the Chicago cubs. I’m excited for this season and especially our bright future with young prospects in the system showing lots of promise! Let’s find joy in the process! Go cubs go!❤️💙
