I listen to many FIRE podcasts. Love how Sam doesn’t focus too much on the RE part in his podcast and instead focuses on the investing part of the equation to stay FI. He has a fantastic way of breaking down complex topics so they're super easy to grasp! The best part? I've made this show a must-listen for my 20-year-old son so he can get a head start on his personal finance education!

The Financial Samurai podcast, newsletter, and website are excellent! I’ve been a follower for 5+ years now and Sam’s posts have helped me get in charge of my finances. I too live in San Francisco with two young kids like Sam but unlike him I am still working away at a full time job which I do enjoy! No matter what situation you are in you are guaranteed to find lots of insightful information to consider applying to your current situation. Keep up the amazing work!!!!

Sam begins his journey into FIRE by sharing with us his career story and subsequent transition into (semi) retirement and real estate owner. Each bit of advice and interview comes with a practical and helpful amount of advice, directions, and pitfalls to watch out for. All in, I highly recommend his podcast. One suggestion: follow the US and/or Asian calendar and provide tips, interviews, etc based on the calendar (eg, during Black History Month focus on how Black entrepreneurs, real estate owners, etc are developing novel ways to generational wealth; during Women's Month do something similar; maybe during a Chinese new year do something focused). I’m certain your listeners would appreciate that!

Sam does an incredible job of breaking down investing strategies and financial concepts. He encourages feedback and genuinenly wants to help others. He offers wonderful perspectives and always gets me thinking about what I can do to improve in many ways of my life, not just with inveseting. He's open and transparent. I love reading his emails and listening to his podcasts. You'll enjoy them as well! They are short, interesting, and informative.

Hi Sam, Just listened to Noah Kagan, and he briefly talked about how health insurance is way better in Europe, I believe specifically Barcelona. He paid $1,000 for the whole year? Is this a topic you can cover more? My wife and I are almost financially free and wondering if we should try living in Europe or South America. Love your content and interviews! Thank you

I’ve been reading Sam’s blog for a long time, but only recently started listening to the podcast regularly. It’s been cool to see him go from mostly replicating blog posts to now bringing in great guests and doing some really insightful interviews. The one with the lawyer who won the landmark case against NAR was so fascinating.

I’ve been an avid listener of this podcast for years (and his email and blog) and am always able to glean nuggets of wisdom from Sam’s insights, candid thoughts and recommendations. He takes the time to take a topic that can be complicated and intimidating and break it down into bite-sized nuggets with real-life examples and simple charts and graphs. Definitively give this a listen and it just might change your future for the better!

My favorite personal finance podcast of all time! Sam goes in depth about the most important financial issues we all face at some point in our lives. He is also one of the founders of the modern-day FIRE movement. Not only does he interview experts in their respective fields, Sam is also an expert in money given his 25 years of experience. Unlike other personal finance podcasts where the host has no relevant experience or expertise, Financial Samurai walks the walk having worked at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse, and got his MBA from UC Berkeley. The quality of information is much higher than any other finance podcasts. I also highly recommend his book Buy This, Not That and How To Engineer Your Layoff. Both bestsellers. A must subscribe!

I like this style! It goes deeper than most podcasts and gets to a level of transparency that is unique for financial podcasts. This makes it much more useful and applicable for listeners. Good stuff.

Sam has an incredible interview style. He asks his guests candid questions about finances you won’t see elsewhere, and his solo episodes are full of incredible information. This is by far the most helpful finance/ inspiration podcast I listen to.

I’m loving the direction the podcast is going with the extended interviews with accomplished guests with first hand wisdom in things like website side hustles, college admissions, working in finance/tech, and more. I’ve followed the blog for a while and I find myself resonating with how Sam approaches the interviews and asking the questions I would want to ask of these guests. Excited to see where these go in the future - dissecting the training costs and finances of surprisingly high paying trades or government jobs? Examining whether amazon sellers really make money? Getting Raj Chetty on to tell us the formula to maximize the odds for a financial successful life? I also enjoyed the podcasts in the past that were more linked to the blog. There would usually be some extra nuggets (poker?), and it’s always more colorful hearing someone’s intonation when they are presenting a topic.

I’ve been a subscriber to Sam’s newsletter and blog for a few years now and have always found his advice and information relevant and useful. I’m so happy that he’s branched out into podcasting. Just another way to learn and grow my financial prowess.

Sam covers a lot of topics, and the most important personal finance fundamentals, in his podcast episodes. He keeps it simple and allows for small, actionable takeaways that should make a BIG impact on the financial lives of his listeners. Been following his blog for years, so it’s also fun to listen to his podcast episodes!

I’ve learned so much from Financial Samurai. Sam is authentic, which makes his advice easier to trust. He’s also consistent with his content, which makes it feel like he’s right there walking the path to financial freedom alongside me. I’ve enjoyed his blog and his book, and look forward to tuning in to his podcast once in awhile. Props to Sydney as well — her columns bring a fresh perspective that I appreciate.

I’ve been studying “behavioral finance” in recent months and noticed something that I owe to Sam’s postings. What I noticed is that the vast majority of what I’m “doing well” is an out growth of the different principles that Sam writes about. There’s still a lot of growth in front of me, but I’m grateful for the influence that he’s having on my path thus far

Coming from a financial background it is easy to over analyze and put too much weight into the numbers. I love Sam’s approach to financial decisions reverting to the questions of what makes us happy and really drill down into why do we work…getting away from the mindset of accumulation without greater purpose.
