Nelida J.One of my favorite podcastI’m so thankful for this podcast, the episodes are full of information and guidance, I listen to the episodes more than once and I go back to old episodes as reference and encouragement in my junior UX journey. Thank you for the work you do as a leader in this industry.

blairmellisInsightfulFor many years this has been a go-to podcast I listen to to get real-time insights from industry leaders. Truly inspiring and helpful for zooming out and thinking more deeply about what we’re building, why, and how. TY for creating this valuable content!

bestforthinkersInspiring!I’m new to the podcast world yet old to the design world. Design Better is profound on all levels, from the questions asked to the questions answered and the spaces in between that provide delicious nourishment for thinking. Thank you and please keep on!

brookapConsistently entertaining, often surprisingInsightful and entertaining. The guest speakers are a who's who of the most creative and impactful design thinkers around. I love the fact that the Design Better podcast weaves together all of the different threads of design inspiration & process, ethics, inclusiveness, and relevance to things that people don't always think of as being design-related. It's a great lens into how intentionality and experience shapes design, and how intentional design, in turn, shapes our experiences.

Jen12345678887654321Very informativeThis show is really good but I wish it was a little louder and the interviewers were a little better. Overall very informative though
-
brainslikepicklesNauseatingGave it a few episodes. These interviews are terrible and not particularly relevant to design. Seems like these guests are stretched to give intelligent or coherent answers.
-
Calley Pinsightful for designers and, well, everyone!I found Design Better after starting a UX Boot Camp. I learn so much from the guests and the hosts, especially as a designer. I appreciate the diverse guests and resources shared, too! Learning about ethics from Airbnb or cultivating a healthy and diverse culture from Netflix execs has been so inspirational. Some of my favorite episodes aren’t directly design related- like John Cleese, or the guys from Apple +. I get so much from the thoughtful interview questions and long form conversations. I look forward to each episode!
-
DWoostyAwesome conversationsI love listening to this podcast. I enjoy it every morning with my coffee and absolutely love listening to the thoughtful and enlightening conversations. The guests are amazing and the hosts ask relevant, insightful, and interesting questions. Great work.
-
ihopethisisconstructiveI have to say this. The content is GREAT, but the up-speak is really bad. After the third episode of people up speaking every sentence I had to turn it off.
-
nokopixelGreat work 🎨This is a really great podcast. I love how smooth it is, and the great quality of both the audio and the people interviewed. 👏👏👏

obacker19A must-listen for designers! If you want to learn what it takes to embed design thinking into the DNA of organizations of all sizes - this is the podcast you should be listening to. Aarron and Eli do an incredible job of sharing their expeirence and insights (which have literally been tested at scale), while also facilitating their guests getting to dive below the surface and really dig into what transforms the culture of a team, the empathy needed to create and how to truly level up as a designer. Highly recommend this show to anyone in design and marketing!

Chit107Experts making great contentBetween the hosts (experts is a better term), and the guests, and the content, the podcast is informative and educational. I appreciate all of the work that is put into these podcasts. If you are looking to level up your knowledge of the design industry or the people that make it up, the Design Better Podcast is the way to go. I love it!

HooboyofDarknessDigestible, Relatable, and Educational (But in, like, a cool way)Really love this podcast! As someone who's gotten increasingly interested in design and has no formal education in it, I feel like the Design Better Podcast has been a good supplement for me. The interviews are smart but casual, and their scope can vary in interesting ways. Even though these are top designers in way up there positions in their respective companies and the design community itself, I find the talks digestible and relatable. Though I'm not technically a designer, I think this podcast is a great, generous offering to the world of design. Excited for the new season!
-
KLynne3393Such an incredible resource for product teamsI wish I discovered this podcast sooner. It's rare to find such a resource that delivers valuable insights from the world's best companies about how to create products that are better for our customers and improve the process of creating said products. Really excited for Season 3!!

Pete GossensMake Time (for this podcast series)I've listened to a handful of these and loved the content. The Make Time Episode with Jake Knapp I found to be especially valuable and interesting. Hearing Jake and the interviewers talk through ways they've found to be more intentional with how they spend their time in and out of work was a great reminder. These podcasts offer a great representation of the design world from some of the best people out there.
-
EmmieCampbellCritical stories for designers and design leadersI love this podcast for its insider stories and authentic take on the design industry today. The quality of the guests speaks for itself, and their interviews help me understand the thinking behind the strategy and decision making that top design leaders face. It really gives you a sense of the nuances that you wouldn't otherwise pick up on. I especially recommend #10 with Mia Blume and #20 with Margaret Stewart!

ReviewByElizabethDesign as functionI enjoy how this podcast is spreading the word on how design wins!
-
Klbg061ContentThe caliber of guests on this podcasts is unrivaled. Every episode is a great listen, though some are more actionable than others. It helps to keep the theme in mind while you listen. So I think season two was spent on scaling. With that in mind, each episode covers one little aspect of the theme, through the lens of a design leader. Recommend to anyone in business (not just tech!)

Mochiball69Fun to listen to and informative!I love listening to this podcast on my commute. The guests on the show vary in their backgrounds, and each bring unique expertise that I learn so much from. Love the different topics chosen! Such a great resource for anyone new to design or those of us who are well versed.

Kris PuckettAmazing ResourcePodcasts are a dime a dozen these days, but the Design Better Podcast stands out. Insightful, fun, and engaging, the podcast is a great resource for designers.
-
Empty musicThoughtful PodcastI really enjoy this podcast- I find the topics relevant and it’s well produced. I usually find a nugget or two that I take away.

ari.curtisHost could be more engaged/engagingFirst, I’m so glad this podcast exists. I’m moving into a design leadership role, and the guests on this podcast are exactly the type of people I want to learn from. However, I wish the host were a more seasoned interviewer. Sometimes he sounds like he wasn’t paying attention to the answer and leaves an awkward silence between the subject’s answer and his next question, and/or his follow-up questions are a bit lackluster. All told, I wouldn’t leave a critical comment if I didn’t genuinely believe in this show! I’m looking forward to more (and a bit better) interviews!

jkhgfdsghjghfdsKim Williams InterviewI want this podcast to be so much better. I listen to it as well as Jake Knapps Breakfast one and ..... I dunno.... I just don't feel I learn anything new. I am open to discovering that I am just not listening correctly but for example, Kim Williams; she an amazing expert, has a vast amount of knowledge and experience, but the content was so general and I could summarize the whole hour like this "we try very hard to advocate for the user and for them to be able to get achieve their goal and the way we do that is through empathy using holistic design systems that faciliate communication between various stakeholders.......zzzzz". At one point she said something like, "..we conduct user studies to find out what people are thinking...so we took it up a notch and went bolder..." but there is no detail as to how any of these studies were executed. If I had a podcast for 5 mins instead of 45 mins that literally just explained in detail one small minute detail of her process I would have walked away with something to consider and research further but with 45 mins of general buzz words and an overview of her process, I just got so frustrated wanting just something, anything that I could take away. As a UXD that has worked professionally in UXD roles after certification in 2014, I understand the process. I am assuming that a lot of UXDs listen to this podcast as they are working of have an interest in the field of UXD. We know the process. We have seen 500 diagrams of the high level process teams take when working on experiences for clients and I feel that this and almost every presentation, meetup, conference, podcast & article just go over and over the same high level process with teasers that the speaker may just reveal some insight into something you could try or experiment with and then BOOM it's taken away with a side tracked extension to that line of thought and on to the next general overview statement. I just can't listen to podcasts anymore. When I am being interviewed for roles I have to explain in explicit detail my steps, intentions, outcomes, assumoptions, methodology...etc of my case study to proove I know what I am doing and how I can adapt to various projects that I may be designing for with this potential employer. Why can't podcasts be like an interview for a job. "Hello Kim, please tell us explicitly how you have used or built a design system in the past with reference to your roadmap stages and milestones." Now that is a question. Imainge the content you would get from that 1 question. In fairness the interviewer did try to get more specific and I appreciate soe great questions but why cover soooo many topics. Choose one and get granular with it so we have something of benefit to digest ("Do one thing and do it well".... right?) Also in fairness, Kim is a much more experienced PD than I and is worthy of a lot more accolade in the UX world than I could or have ever been able to obtain so this is just my ranty opinion to get it off my chest and I am sure I am just not interpreting the information as well as other people (it is highly rated). I think I am partly correct and partly just not suited to being told information in such an elaborate and bulky way and I need to simply experiment hands on as my main way of digesting information and learning from it. Out.

Corey WaldinBest product and UX design podcast I’ve found yetTop notch industry leading speakers and the interviewers really know how to have a conversation about design. If you work in product or UX design this will give you views on all spectrums of the industry. Many of the speakers started as designers themselves so they can speak from the ground up. Have yet to listen to an episode that didn’t have me writing or sketching up ideas.
