    Very kantian of you
I look forward to the new show. I get the sense that you didn’t like the means or the end. You and Drew get “street cred” for walking the walk.

    Finally!
Totally agree with your views in your final podcast Mark. Am so over everyone interviewing the same people and asking all the same questions. I have read your books and gotten a lot out of your blogs but had been struggling to get through these podcasts. Very much looking forward to ‘Solved’. Will always be a fan and appreciate your honesty.

The book sucked. I can’t imagine this pod has any value. Too many pods- there’s no need for this one.

Started out strong but has been fizzling out
The early conversations with guests were great. Lately the episodes have just been Mark and Drew, and their conversations just aren't very interesting. I hope they get back to the guest format.

    Love this podcast!
Mark is the one self-help person that I really feel is out to help people rather than sell something. Him and his cohost Drew offer another perspective on weekly topics. Really enjoy the show!

    Great weekly listen!
You can’t beat the subjects that are discussed and the real world view. There is this no nonsense look at all the things that are right in our faces and always makes me laugh.

    Honest and transparent
I stumbled here because I started reading the book. I love the transparency and the ability of the hosts to admit their mistakes and when they are wrong. The podcast feels natural like the hosts are not trying so hard to impress me and in essence I am impressed 🤗

Wow… the political episode and your gender views!
“Only conservative women are getting married and having children, and single liberal women are staying single and not having children.” Successful women only want to date men who are more successful than them?! I hadn’t finished listening to the politics episode before my previous review. Just wow. I was hoping listening to this episode would help, but it didn’t.

    Authentic and good
There’s something unpolished and normal about this show that is refreshing. Every podcast is infusing all this gravitas and drama, the music, the intros, the environment, it’s starting to take itself to seriously. Yea… not this show. These guys know who they are, are smart enough to let intelligent (mostly) conversation come out naturally, and they are incredibly relatable. Exactly what this space needs. That’s why the show has a 4.9 rating and over 3.2k reviews.

    Old and new format
I really like listening to this podcast. It is interesting, entertaining, and easy to digest. I do miss the old format with the guest speakers. I felt like I learned a lot from their experiences. You don't have to have them on every week but once and a while would be great.

    Useful and brilliant
My favorite thinker of my own generation. I love the refreshing sometimes surprising and always educational.

I like the old format and the new one.
I find this podcast helpful because it reminds me that I’m probably taking most things too seriously or too personally. Sometimes the episodes feel like listening to folks having conversations over a beer.

    Something different…
I love this show. It’s something totally different in the “self-help” / pop knowledge space. It really seems like the hosts are doing what they love and being authentic. I relate to so many of the episodes.

There’s some good info and advice sprinkled in between a great deal of survivorship bias and privilege. Use with caution.

    Diving Deeper
This podcast dives deeper into the concepts laid out in the book in a way that helps me realize that constantly seeking new productivity and motivation “hacks” is really just avoiding dealing with the life happening right in front of us.

    A lot of fun
Mark and his guests tackle very serious topic that can be life changing for some of the listeners but they always remember to take a good laugh at it. Mark’s laugh is contagious I am laughing even when I am not sure I got the reference. Great content, great guests, deep conversation, can’t stop listening. Thank you guys!

    Been a fan for years!
I can’t get enough of your content, Mark! Having read all your books (the audiobook Love is Not Enough is a hidden gem imho), tons of your blogposts, and even the audio-narrations of your articles that you used to do, I’m super excited that you’ve turned to podcasting. I’ve now binged all the episodes and look forward to your new releases every week. Keep being awesome!

    Subtle Art Pod Review
After reading Mark’s book “The Subtle Art” and Will Smith’s autobiography, I was hooked on his style of writing. The best way I can describe it is that he writes non-fictional books with a fictional overtone. I also think I resonate with Mark in other ways such as we are both writers, he’s the same age and he thrives on sharing practicality. That’s exactly what you’ll get from this pod…practicality that you can apply and make your life better immediately after listening.

    More Drew
New listener here. The episodes with Drew are my favorites so far.

Intriguing but your privilege is showing.
Listened to the blue dot episode. You lost me when you told people who are currently living on the poverty line they live better than Kings used to. Stinks of privilege. Might try your delivery with a dose of empathy. Won’t be listening to more or purchasing any books.

    Good thought process
I’m intrigued by his pragmatic approach do different concepts.

The millionaire is telling us all how good the economy is.
Other millionaires aren’t listening to your show. Just poor people like me. You are too rich and out of touch to give advice to anyone but your millionaire friends. I used to love the books, but it looks like I have to move on.

    Best podcast
Talks about things that are important in an ever increasing world of superficiality. Perfect mix of philosophy with psychology and relating it to real life. So happy I’ve found this podcast, it’s done more for me than therapy tbh

    Time Well Spent
I consider this podcast to be among the best media I can consume. Each episode leaves me feeling inspired and wanting more… even when I don’t fully agree. I like that it makes me think about my core values and beliefs and helps me channel that into living a life I care about. I appreciate the blunt, humorous, and humble-by-not-being-humble approach to the topics. Highly recommended!
  • elkay48
    So authentic

    Great Podcast!
I read the book a few years ago and then the YouTube algorithm recommended him to me a few days ago. Some really great ideas to help improve your life.

    Bad therapy
I am giving this podcast 4 stars and will continue to listen. I only listened to the bad therapy episode and honestly mark I’d love for you to have an actual clinical psychologist or licensed mental health professional on your show, PLEASE! Abagail Shrier was talking nonsense. Some of the stuff she was saying would make sense- if that was what was happening! No school professional is sitting around telling their students to focus on their anxiety and talk about how traumatic their life is. As a school psychologist, I promise you- we’re trying to help them MOVE PAST IT. And I will tell you, ive worked with many many children who’s parents were in fact strict and dismissive with their child’s issues and those are ALWAYS the parents that get cut off or children who try to take their own life. This was kind of an appalling episode but I’m going to listen to more to get a feel of the show!
  • Auntie Isha
    I love this podcast!
Mark really makes me think about things from other perspectives. I am a 20-something female (probably not the target audience) but I find something useful in every episode. I find myself “saving” episodes for when I would bee too preoccupied. I want to be able to really listen to what he has to say! I love that he’s not the most politically correct, sometimes I think people sugar coat things too much and we just need to be honest with each other.
