I wish these were longer

Peyton is absolutely horrible. She ruins the show every time she opens her mouth. Please get rid of her. Also you guys have got to quit it with the small segments. If you really think its necessary make it its own podcast but it completely ruins this channel and makes it hard to keep track of what you’ve listened to.

I LOVE this show! Show out from Bakersfield, Ca. I came across you guys by chance and haven’t changed the station since….I became an avid listener. Lol. I downloaded the on demand podcast and listen to you guys on the iheart app, as well as the local radio station. I would get confused because i felt like I would hear the same episode 2 or 3 times but you most recent podcast explained the work that goes into all the edits for the different areas. Thank you guys for brightening up my morning everyday!

I used to listen to Johnjay & Rich every day for years. Since Payton joined, the show just shifted in such a bad way and it became the Payton Show ft. Johnjay. I gave it a legitimate shot until I finally stopped while they were on Christmas break 2023 and I found a different show. It was a weird adjustment at first, but the show I listen to now is full of equals who share the mic and are all likable.

We are sick of Peyton!

Whenever I feel overwhelmed by life, I listen to JohnJay and Rich and Payton. Love their banter and humor. All very different personalities but they mesh well together. Podcast or radio, all good.

I had been listening to this show every single day for over 15 years, but I had to go into the new year leaving negativity behind. The show has not been the same for a while. The addition of Payton was a terrible decision. Her lack of training in broadcasting is so apparent. Also, horoscopes are pointless and most people share that they skip through them. Please take your reviews to heart and make some changes.

Sad to see so many people hating on her because racism. She’s awesome on the show gives a unique perspective, has stories to tell, and is fun. Keep it up Payton.

I was a long time listener since I was in college and I’m sad to find out the hosts share a political view that is damaging to a lot of innocent people, so the fact that they share such a hateful view, I can no longer listen to this show, which makes me sad because I listen to the show to/from my way to work. I’m done!

I tried to like her but it’s just not working, she seriously needs to tone it down or replace her with someone more experienced, remove horoscopes! your audience has spoken!

Does Payton know how to NOT talk over everyone? Someone teach her!! Decided to listen for the first time in a long time and nothing has changed. Same boring segments. Horoscopes are over, just stop with them already. Miss the old show without Payton.

I hate to contribute and don’t want to be mean but… I agree, I have to skip all the way through the horoscopes. It’s hard to hear when Payton argues over the games or when she pulls the race thing. Jenna, I think is her name? She’s really great, would love if her and Payton switched places. Wish she could/would learn from Suzette and Jenna.

I miss the days when the team all worked so well together. It’s not the same anymore. I have been listening, or should I say I listened for over 20 years. The dynamic changed when Payton was brought on. Maybe it’s her age or her inexperience in life in general. The few times Jenna has been brought on has been amazing. She’s well spoken and allows others to talk. She and or grant would truly be a great asset to the team and be the younger voice you may be looking for. Rich and Kyle will forever be a fan favorite and JohnJay well he’s JohnJay lol. You either love him or hate him. Or you love to hate him but he’s going to make you laugh. The one star is only while the dynamic is off. It would go up once the staff is changed and there is better flow amongst you all.

Mirroring many other reviews, I have listened to this show my entire life but it’s such a struggle if I ever do listen anymore. I wish I could be a fly on the wall at iHeart to understand why after relentless pleas from listeners to replace Peyton (or for her to make any attempt to improve), there is no change. It seems like you continue horoscopes because a handful of people call in, portraying engagement, but it’s so boring and it’s clear Peyton is reading the script for the first time.

Why does the black people thing always have to come up ? Isn’t Payton 1/2 white? But when around black people she’s a black person? And just cuz your black doesn’t automatically make you from Africa ! We are all Americans regardless of color!

I’ve been listening to this show for decades. My favorite segments (second date update, WOTR, humpday dumpday) are no longer easily found on the podcast app, and I’m not even sure if they’re still doing them because it’s so painfully hard for me to listen to a full episode without being mind blowingly bored. I used to listen daily and can’t remember the last time I turned this show on. Definitely think there needs to be some younger hosts (in addition to John Jay, Rich, and Kyle) with more exciting stories, and please for the love can you make the entertaining segments more easy to find on the podcast app?

Payton is awful. Please listen to your listeners. She is wrong about everything she talks about. Replace her with someone who has some humility.

I have been listening to this show since I was in High School, which I think is the majority of the time they have been on in Arizona. I have heard them through the change of cast, locations, etc and one thing I can say that I love about JohnJay and Rich is that they seem truly authentic. I love this show, and as much as it gets hard to listen as new people come on, you eventually get used to them and love them like they have always been there. This show brings me so much joy and we are blessed to have them!

I am with everybody else. Take out Payton and put in Grant or Jenna.

I used to listen to this podcast while I was at the gym. I can’t anymore because fast forwarding through an hour of listeners calling in is too much admin for me. I miss when they had more to talk about.

Ive been listening to this show since I was 11 years old. I’m 32 now, and for the first time I just don’t gel with the dynamics of the show. Peyton throws off the rhythm of the gang. She just doesn’t work and it shows.

I listened to this show religiously for over 20 years. I absolutely adore Johnjay, Kyle, and Rich!!! They are extremely talented and fun to listen to. I have tried to continue to listen, but sadly, I cannot stand to listen to Payton anymore. There was a couple of days earlier this year when Payton was out sick, and it was amazing! The best shows in a while! It was dynamite to hear the crew have a conversation and not get interrupted by Payton’s raspy voice, with her self-absorbed and mindless comments. Johnjay, Rich and Kyle are all so witty and great story tellers. I just love listening to Rich and Kyle’s incredible vocabulary. Not sure who’s idea it is to keep Payton on the show. But you just lost another long time listener. Payton does not add anything positive to show, she’s not even funny, and has the IQ of a donkey. Please do better, fire Payton!

GET. RID. OF. PEYTON She has made it intolerable to listen to. Not only that. The show seems more like news segments rather than entertainment. Everything is so bored to structured now. You’ve lost what made you guys fun. I’ve listen for 15 years and I can’t anymore.

It’s gone downhill. Payton is terrible, her voice is nails on a chalkboard. Now it’s silly games, dumb horoscopes, and Payton…

It’s sad how this show is a literal shell of what it used to be. Also pretty sure most people just fast forward the the horoscope segment. You guys have to know it’s not entertaining and daily listeners don’t want to sit through like 20 minutes of that it’s painful.

Why are you guys filling old segments in the current shows, I thought these were supposed to be new?…🤔

Payton has got to go. There has to be someone that’s more intelligent to represent her generation. Maybe lay off the weed and alcohol might help. She is rough to listen to

Payton needs to go. I have to listen to the podcast, instead of live, so I can skip any time she opens her mouth. She has no clue what she’s talking about but she always has to chime in. So annoying. I’m sure iHeart runs metrics or surveys listeners, right? Is Nielsen still a thing?

They are ALWAYYYYSS on vacation so content is never new and it’s always just them bragging about their rich lives

Ok someone is clearly trolling Payton and I’m not going to stand for it!! I LOVE PAYTON and the ENERGY she brings to the show!!! Don’t listen to the negativity Payton. You have your place at the Mic just like everyone else and it’s a joy to listen to the world of a woman in her 20s!!!!!!!

I know you guys see the reviews everywhere…Reddit, social, etc. Payton is terrible. She always has to be right, she argues everything, she is terrible to listen to! Listen yo your loyal audience and please get rid of Payton!

Pretty crazy that she admitted she was intoxicated driving to work, at work, and then brought back up liquor. Sounds illegal and like a fireable offense? Can’t believe you guys aired that episode . Can’t stand listening anymore , it’s terrible

Love this show! Especially the dynamic between everyone. Kyle should be a therapist! Her responses to issues are very therapeutic and person centered. I’m waiting on the day Rich pulls a Michael Scott, shows up to work the next day and roasts everyone! And Payton’s authenticity is such a good addition to the show. I actually have her same questions and inquiries and appreciate when she is heard, seen, and gets answers. Such a good genuine group of people. Love listening.

Thanks to the 4th host which I won’t bother naming, I couldn’t stand to listen to her any longer and took a break from this show to find other podcasts to listen to during my commutes or while I was doing chores. The only thing that has brought me back are the 3 hosts, Johnny, Rich, and Kyle, and who we all wish was a co-host, Grant. They’re all incredibly good at what they do, and as Johnny says, Kyle is the best female radio host there is out there. She is extremely professional, witty, comedic, and charismatic and I don’t think that iHeartRadio appreciates her as much as they should. Other reviewers saying that she’ll age out only says more about them because she’ll be in the business for as long as she wants with her level of talent. Rich was born for radio and music, and Johnjay is an amazing host and was trained well for this field (even when he gets annoying sometimes). On the other hand, the random pick-me girl who evidently has no training or experience, and was hired out of favoritism because her dad knows the host, is completely sabotaging the show with her attitude and negativity that she continues to bring to the show. She is singlehandedly responsible for the majority of the negative reviews and why many loyal listeners have found another show after DECADES of listening to the original hosts. She needs to be transferred to another show if they’re so concerned about hurting her feelings, but her lack of respect that she shows the producer and Rich, as well as her unwillingness to change some of her ways as a spoiled brat would do, is not the positive vibes that we tune into the show for in the first place. Johnjay, Rich, Kyle, Grant, and Nick make us laugh and smile, and they are such a delight to wake up to the in the morning, and all the extra cast member does is anger the audience and ruin our mornings with her annoying stories or rants, so much that we can’t really tune in as often. I still have to take breaks because of her and I don’t even follow the show’s page because she is the one who runs it and spends more time reposting her personal stories than anyone else’s. Please bring back the essence of the show and get rid of the dead weight that is bringing your audience down.

In August I will have listened to JJ&R for 20 years :) I really enjoy Payton and am surprised at the negative comments left here. I like that Payton is still learning and not as polished as Kyle, Rich, and Johnjay. I appreciate hearing her young adult perspective on issues. The 20s can be a vulnerable time and I think it is brave to share this on radio. Big hug!

Just stop uploading old shows simple.

I went to listen today, Thursday, and it’s still not updated from last Friday….. also wish it was still separated (only the most popular segments) instead of just releasing the full show. Then I have to hunt for the segments instead of just looking for the title already edited separately. Or some weeks every single segment is separated, and I have to scroll through 50 segments from one day. It feels lazy without producer Bill. Love all the new people but I wish the show is a reliable and user friendly.

Where is literally any good segment???!? What happened… y’all were my fav and now there is nothing I would listen to on this… bring back your good segments please! We miss it

Ditch the horoscopes and drop Payton from the program. Her voice and lack of intelligence are like nails on a chalkboard every day.

This show is for low-IQ people, listening at their blue collar jobs. The fact that people laugh at this crud is remarkable given how childish and unintelligent and talentless both Johnjay and the woman co-host from Gilbert (whose name is skipping me). Her husband should contact Human Resources. Johnjay is in a position of authority over her and he’s taking pictures of his wife’s feet? Gross. What happened to MeToo? Oh yeah, she’s going to call for MeToo once she’s replaced on the show with someone half her age. And not surprisingly: the low-IQ listeners are leaving charged comments one of the hosts. I wonder why…

Love the crew and the whole idea of Christmas wish is absolutely amazing. However Johnjay routinely is too intrusive with his questions and took it way too far on a recent Christmas wish. No need to interrogate a widow on how her husband died. I so appreciate what the show did for her, but pushing her for details when she had not willingly disclosed the cause of death was completely unnecessary and insensitive

Have been listening to this morning show for YEARS! Some comments…. - we won’t need all the segments broken out. If anything, just break out the second date update, war of roses, etc that’s the best part. It’s hard to want to listen when I have to scroll so far down to get the full show. - NO MORE HOROSCOPES every day. - the intro sections by nick are CRINGE. - I like Peyton, but her opinions are so harsh. I don’t know if it’s her tone or what, but I feel like she overtakes segments with her comments. - more rich and Kyle and grant pleaseeee

Have listened to the show for many years. Love hearing about your daily lives, second date update and war of the roses. John Jays stories are funny. Not a fan at all of the multiple segments. Horoscope has gotten boring. Sorry but Grants voice on commercials is cringe. Payton could tone-down quite a bit and replace with more from Kyle.

I LOVE this show and the whole crew and have been an avid listener for over 12 years now. My issue is the format for the podcast. Ever since it’s been broken down into segments it’s a huge pain in the butt to try and listen to. It’s challenging to find new episodes and if I don’t painstakingly go through and delete each segment the show plays again and doesn’t automatically go to a new and unheard show. It’s very frustrating and has caused me to listen less as I listen while working and need a consistent flow since I don’t have time to babysit and delet all these segmented portions.

I love this show, but Payton is so obnoxious for the show and I can’t stand listening to her. Please bring back all the fun segments too (watcha wanna know Wednesday, forgive me Friday etc..)
