Ying2zVery important topics, fantastic questions and guestsJust listened to the Anti-Asian Hate episode and highly recommend! As a public health professional, I found the host did a great job balancing the complexities of the important topic by asking great questions to each of the expert guests, blending scientific data, heart, and health/wellbeing with a side of musical talent. It was ✨dynamite✨.

Nellyda A.Staying in the loopI’m a UCSF alumnus, and now I live and work in rural Oregon. Providing up to date geriatric and palliative care can present challenges in my community due to a lack of understanding about the “mission” of these specialty areas. Listening to this podcast helps me feel connected to experts and innovators in this field, and helps me stay focused on what matters. I love the conversational yet scientific reporting style. It feels like I’m part of a loving club of nerdy-smart clinicians. Thank you for keeping me in the loop!

The OGGGreat info, fun to listenI love this podcast. Eric and Alex (and frequent guest cohosts) offer up-to-date and engaging information about hot topics in geriatrics and palliative care in a way that is fun to listen to. They have a really diverse group of guests and do a nice job with the interview. This is a great, easy way to stay informed! Definitely recommend.

Jenny GarganoReviewLove you podcast! How about including one on interventional pain management?

Yael SchenkerOutstanding palliative care podcastGeripal never fails to both inform and entertain. As a palliative care physician and researcher, I love the chance to hear from researchers about their own work. Interviewers are tough and respectful. Show notes consistently include helpful links. And the songs are not. to. be. missed. Geripal is a joyful reminder of everything that I love about our field.

MarySTwoEvery geriatric social worker should listen! This podcast makes otherwise inaccessible (because it is published in journals most of us don’t subscribe to), but valuable information understandable, useful, and fun! I look forward to every new episode. Highly recommend for anyone working with older adults.

Maria GlymourThoughtful, up to date, engagingThis podcast is terrific and I wish I’d found it sooner. Great coverage of contemporary topics related to the health of older adults. I’m a researcher, not a clinician, and I find their clinically informed perspective, insights, and interviews very useful.

Lover of PodcastsWhere have you gone?Haven’t seen an episode in over a month. I am an educated layperson, helping people write their advance directive, and your podcast often helps with its perspective. Please come back!

HildegardBingenRNI am a hospice nurse in New York State seeing patients in the community and skilled nursing facility settings. I love your podcast and find it very informative regarding current issues in hospice and palliative care as well as symptom management for the geriatric patient. The episodes on COVID-19 have been poignant and informative. Please consider a podcast focused on hospice care and COVID-19. We are seeing a rapid influx in COVID positive hospice patients as the disease spreads and hospitals discharge patients electing comfort care.

krisku26Efficient way to stay up to dateAs a Geriatrics fellow, I love this podcast. Especially that there isn’t 10 minutes of filler at the beginning! The short song is the perfect intro.

Hulahoop@52Hiding behind high value careVery articulate

SkepticalWVExcellent material but I could do without the musicExcellent contents/interviews. But to be honest I could do without the amateurish and silly music. The only song that I thought was clever/relevant and smiled at was “HELP” me if you can I’m feeling confused” talking about the HELP program for delirium.

Marilyn ssA must for palliative and healthcareThe Geripal podcast is a musical extravaganza and the best resource for palliative care information. One of my favorite things about the podcast is that although the podcast covers many topics that could ruin your day, the actual effect is to further inspire my daily work as a hospice nurse and researcher. My favorite song Oberst- I don’t want to die in the hospital. Keep up the great work. Love the YouTube visuals too.
