BoulderSunA note regarding trying to save a merit at all costsSo far, I have found the information in this podcast to be irresponsible and potentially damaging. Not all relationships are meant to be saved. There should be as much education about signs of abuse and personality disorders as there is therapeutic approaches to save a marriage. Not all marriages are meant to be saved nor should they be saved. In fact, many marriages containing infidelity and betrayal are often full of gaslighting, triangulating, manipulation, and blame-shifting. As anyone who has experienced relationship betrayal can attest to, it can be some of the most painful experiences of our lives, and the worst thing that could happen is that they do everything they can to save the marriage only to realize years later that they are in a relationship with a narcissist or some other personality disordered person.

1036pmContent is very good. Production can improve.I really like that the episodes are short and concise, with topics that are incredibly relevant to me as a man in relationship. I especially appreciate the “never say die” attitude. My only suggestion for improvement is to get a better quality microphone which would help with a more pleasant listening experience. Vang X.

🦋L🦋🦋Touching. Amazing.I have tuned into a few episodes on here & I am so glad that I did. Resonating with much that was said, I feel relieved I have found a podcast that is relevant to me and one that I enjoy listening to. Nicola”s voice is very easy to listen to and she hits the nail on the head repeatedly. I will continue to listen and take note of the many helpful things she brings to my attention. God knew I needed to come across this.

paph491bajspTherapy in my carShe’s soothing to listen to. There’s good really good info here. I love how she starts with here’s a topic, here’s what this looks like, here’s how it manifests in relationships, and here’s the cause and roots of it. So, very good info and very practical for application and self-reflection.

Mollie GracefulA diamond in the rough!I have been blessed to be shown Nicola Beer’s podcast. She has a down-to-earth conversation about real-life problems. Her personal experience can be used as a practical example of complex concepts. So, in two words: relatable and necessary

StoryoryThoroughly intrigued and can’t wait to hear more!I just stumbled upon your podcast yesterday and listened to your most recent episode on black and white thinking and I’ve since listened to it 3 more times. It almost made me cry because I’ve long been trying to understand why my wife has these big, over-the-top reactions to things and why I feel like she never sees things from my side. I have thought about her thinking as being very black and white before. I feel like I understand her better now and I know that this is coming from trauma that she’s experienced in her life. And I feel like I might be able to help her realize when she’s thinking in this way and help her to approach things more logically. 🤯

Star barberHuge break throughsJust from listing to the podcast that are available. I listen to them open minded while reflecting. I listen to one specific podcast that within 15 mins opened my eyes and heart to strong proven points why I think the way I think and why my actions have negative consequences. I’ve never heard my past explained to me through another person’s experience. I could see clearly why I have adapted negative habits rather then positive. Also why I’ve shielded myself choosing not to give my whole self to my wife! Thank you so so much, I will be a continuing listener and supporter

endorfinjnkyIs this woman a fly on my wall?I have read many books, done programs and listened to countless podcasts. This is the first one where I feel like the person truly understands what is going on and has real solutions and actions to help. I feel hope again for the first time in a very long time.

Stlmommaw/sad5y.o.Such a GiftThe episode on letting go of resentment carried such a profound and impactful message. It spoke so clearly to the very core of my once broken heart. With the message, and actionable guidance, I received the gift of hope in what felt like a hopeless, unsalvageable marriage. The changes I presented in me, modeled the gifts to my husband. He softened and came to me, to try. It opened up the doors enough for us to let some light in and begin showing one another compassion and support as we healed what we had broken, and learned to love one another, respect and cherish each other, not in our old ways, but in our “second marriage” with each other. And the love, desire, compassion, intimacy, appreciation, and joint enthusiastic participation in our marriage brought a new level of curiosity and commitment, and passion for each other. There was no longer and edge of “or else” to our tone in every conversation. Someone wasn’t always on the way out. We were no longer “renters” in our marriage, able to opt out of our contract if we didn’t feel like trying anymore. Now we’re “owners” in a marriage we built. No one is on their heels ready to flee. No one is going anywhere. Especially when things are hard. And no more resentment or contempt. Just love and security.

Steve 9639AmazingI found this podcast over the last few days. I've dealt with self worth, self doubt, anxiety and a very recent issue with insecurity and neediness in my amazing marriage. I've been searching for a while and I've found my help. I fully plan on contacting Nicola to really move to the next level. I can't say thank you enough just for what I've gained in this short time.

Edmondson iTunesIncredibly helpfulNicola, I just discovered your podcast over the weekend and have already consumed over a dozen episodes and re-listened to several. I have never considered my self anything other than self loving and confident in my own identity until the last few years. Six and a half years into my marriage, I have found myself at a devastating low, having gone through resentment, depression, substance abuse, and personally worst of all, deep insecurity. It all crept in without my conscious awareness of it and took over, but I have now begun working to resolve these issues with self help!! Now that I have achieved sobriety, after years of trying, I am overwhelmed with an influx of emotions I had numbed out. Your podcasts have really helped me to identify feelings I couldn’t quite articulate, and focus on solutions to being able to change and control what I am individually capable of within my marriage, all while being able to love my partner with the unconditional love they deserve! Thank you so much for all the work you have produced here!! I’m certain it can help many other people just like myself!

Power Surge!Thank you for the great advise!Nicolas podcast provides a perspective that is so insightful it's scary. First, I was facing a lot of the issues that Nicola covers in her podcast. Through her knowledge of insecurity, controlling behavior and forgiveness i've learned to be a better husband, friend and all around better person. Thanks Nicola, I wish you the best in all future endeavors.
-
focusing on our futureConfusing to great depending on episodeI really like and appreciate much of her content. There have been some conflicting statements throughout her podcasts for example in one podcast, she describes the pitfalls and ineffectiveness of couples’ counseling and then in a few episodes later she talked about how important it can be and valuable. Other than that, we are considering hey counseling session with her after consuming more of her yummy content.
