partikalTone DeafI am a fan of the ‘The Best Years of Our Lives’. You said the film had no plot, which for people who want their films packaged perfectly to go down like a soda pop, I could see it. But there is significant subtext to the film, the time and place, and you both missed it. You made jokes about the length, as if the film is boring. One of you joked that you fell asleep for 15minutes. I stopped listening after you said you didn’t know who Myrna Loy was, as an excuse to skip over talking about her and her extraordinary performance. You are both truly inept, and lack the knowledge of film history to do this Hitch-comparison conceit justice.

pataphysicianA wee hitchI see what you did there. While this free version features good—but somewhat lesser films—a visit to the link offers the entirety of Hitchcock’s oeuvre… at a cost. This podcast, though entertaining, is what’s known as a honeypot. Three stars for the bait and switch.

by_ro4InterestingThey’re charismatic and it is interesting hearing different opinions. I think some of their problems with the Hitchcock films would either be explained and/or justified if they did more research ahead of their podcasts….

Handy DuckBuilding a Uke Along With You in OregonThere are three things you really can’t buy no matter what price: True Love, Fresh Corn, and Interpersonal Chemistry Between Podcast Hosts. It has to be homegrown, and we all know it. You two have it. The joy and giggles you bring to your pod—even amid a global pandemic—are priceless and should take you far. Thank you for that. Also, you take the usual movie podcast to a new level with your innovative segments about how technology would alter a Hitch film and how a film fits your checklist of film tropes. Clearly you both did your homework and bring that to your pod. The idea that Roger Thornhill in “North By Northwest” could’ve sidestepped the entire film with a text message dropped me—mowing the lawn—to my knees with guffaws. You’re doing quality work, you extend it beyond just assigning stars, and bringing a lot of fun and intelligence to folks who need it. My only wish is that you had half a dozen other pods on other directors I could look forward to. PS: I’m assuming you’re Australian—which in itself is amazing that I can be picking you up in Roseburg Oregon—but as an American who’s travelled with many Kiwis and Walkabout Aussies, I reserve my judgement till I hear how you pronounce the word “Feta”. If it’s “Fitta”, I know you’re not Australian. Cheers.

PBWilderGreat Hitchcock PodcastI just discovered these guys and am still catching up on their back catalogue, but I am really enjoying this podcast. I’ve been a Hitchcock fan for a long time and listening to these two really is like having a fun conversation with a couple of friends. Great job!

LB JeffriesLimited Film KnowlegdeDespite engaging and intelligent banter, these two know shockingly little about film for having a film podcast. I was occasionally appalled at their ignorance. Quotes like: “All the women in Alien look the same to me,” and numerous other examples, had me shaking my head.

Oh!CKDexterHavenPleasant surprise...I’ve been trying to find some decent film podcasts and have (until now) been very disappointed with recommendations I’ve received. These hosts seem to really enjoy the subject matter; it’s clear they’ve done much more research than just a passing glance of the IMDB page of each film. Hitchcock has always been my favorite since I was a kid and I love to learn more about the backstory, production and trivia surrounding each of his films. I also quite like the combination of a host that knows a great deal about these films and a host that appears to know “movies” but is viewing many of these for the first time.

MysciGreat podcast!Listening to these podcasters is like having a conversation with friends. They don’t always agree with each other, and I don’t always agree with them, but we are all appreciating and discussing wonderful (or not so wonderful) Hitchcock movies. I look forward to every episode!

PodWalker50Please choose another hostI was excited to find this podcast series but immediately turned it off when I heard the host's INCREDIBLY ANNOYING AND GRATING Australian accent. No matter how interesting the content, if both hosts aren't pleasing to the ears, listeners move on. What a bummer.
