The glottal and mouth is painful
So I don’t wanna write a bad review because of the actual content it’s really good, but I’ve literally written into them as someone who doesn’t even really have a particularly sensitive mind for this but the main host has to get a pop filter or something because he is constantly clearing his mouth directly into his microphone, so it is impossible to listen to on EarPods or something because it will just make you insane, even if you’re not sensitive to that thing If you are sensitive to that run away from this because unfortunately it will ruin your day. It’s really as bad as anyone I’ve ever heard and I like the podcast and I’ve written in with the suggestion, but that was months ago and nothing has happened, so I guess he doesn’t think it’s a problem. At times if I have other sounds going, and I don’t use my EarPods, I can listen to it, but it is bad. I mean really bad. He’s constantly pausing to swirl his tongue around his mouth and it is directly into the microphone he does not lean back at all. It seems like he leans in 😆 Please please please a little bit of music underneath your voice would solve it. There’s tons of ways to cover it up. People do it all the time, but they seem to refuse to do it.

    Love the show- bad audio
Hey guys- love the content here. It just sounds like the hosts mic sensitivity is turned up way too high. I want to hear the words without it sounding like he’s chewing gum or eating with his mouth open. So much smacking of the lips , etc,’ makes it harder to listen to.

    Standing on Business
I know I have been rough on you guys in the past and a little bit in the present but I hope you can at least understand we’re I and a lot of fans of the Cavaliers come from. We are like that dog that has been kicked around all our life and then people look at us crazy when we mess around and bite someone. All I ask is that you treat every episode as if ESPN or FOX sports was listening to your every word. Imagine how much more time energy and effort you would put in compared to what you do now. You didn’t intend this but you are a reflection of me and all other Cleveland Cavaliers fans. And we want you to be the best. So yes I’m harsh at times because I at least want great production and information and it is clear to me that you guys have stepped your game. So kudos and Let ‘Em Know 💪

Can’t get consistent shows like other Locked On network shows
I would have loved to give this show a higher rating, because I believe the hosts Chris and Evan to have good NBA knowledge, but unlike other Locked On Network podcasts, you cannot get consistent shows at all by Chris and Evan. Some weeks you might only get one or two shows, and those shows might not even give you game analysis afterwards. They also have lost their edge. So disappointed.

    Unleash Evan (Dammarell) !!!
I think Chris Manning is probably a really nice guy who is incredibly conscientious and earnestly wants to give fans an accurate, fair analysis of the Cavs and the team’s competitive positioning in the NBA. I bet he’s a really good friend to those who know him, and an even better member of his family. But would it kill him to laugh once in awhile when he’s on air? The show regularly lands alittle awkwardly, a little too dry - and the fix probably starts with Chris taking the stick out of his butt. And I say that with respect and admiration for the ability he does display as a dutiful reporter covering this team over the years - and there were plenty of years it probably wasn’t very fun and Chris deserves kudos for sticking with it. I think if Evan Dammarell had a little more space to inject some humor and wit into the presentation, this pod would be alot more enjoyable. And if it makes Chris squirm alittle, then even better! The analysis part of the pod is strong, but the entertainment value is pretty low for most episodes. Evan seems to have better instincts in that department, and even when his commentary goes off-color into non basketball territory it’s not a bad little break from the show’s typical “just the facts, ma’am” style. And Chris tends to shut it down very quickly, which makes the show awkward and less enjoyable. Bottom line: I like keeping up with the Cavs, but I also like to laugh. I can do both with some other Cavs pods there, and I’d like to do both with this one too.

Stop saying what’s on the schedule for tomorrow
You do this every episode lately after an ad read. Makes it sound like the podcast is over after fifteen minutes.

    Decent daily coverage
As I don’t live in the land anymore, I enjoy tuning into the Pod to get some daily Cavs info. Generally decent discussion, if not somewhat formulaic. Biggest complaint is the constant phrases used by one of the hosts, like “at the end of the day”. Please avoid these sorts of verbal hang-ups, show will come across as more professional that way.
  • Sizemore24
    No Bench
The Cavs have absolutely no bench scoring at all.

We get it… Evan doesn’t like Elon Musk
Wish there was more basketball talk and less politics.

    Not good
This is not a good podcast. The hosts are extremely boring and hard to listen too. They have no energy when speaking so I find myself turning off the show mid stream constantly. On other Locked on Pod shows the host drop a show everyday. Not this one. If Cavs play on Friday you won’t hear anything until Monday. Locked on please find some replacements with energized hosts who have the time to do daily podcast as advertised please.
  • kes me if you can
Love Chris, Evan not so much.
I enjoyed when Chris Did the show solo. Evan really thought last years team was going to start 0-15. Evan is the primary reason I don’t listen anymore. I’m leaving a 5 star rating because I respect Chris and the locked on network but Evan gotta go.

    Great Cavs podcast
One of only a few Cavs podcasts that I will listen to regularly! Hoping they have some of the No Ceilings podcast/website guys on for some predraft insight!

    Don’t listen to
Third and final review because I’m officially done with this show. Listened to the episode post Easter and can’t believe the disrespect for Christians. “ The Zombie Has Risen”. Wow. I heard no jokes during Ramadan. None during Hanukkah but Easter is where you want to make fun of my Lord and Savior. It’s one thing to be atheist and completely another to be anti-Christian.
  • Evan Dammarell
These nuts know their Cavs basketball!
Locked on Cavs is my favorite daily listen and they’re part of my commute. Chris and Evan are always fair in their criticism and are quick to give praise when required. I also enjoy that they admit they’re wrong and have a great on-air chemistry.
  • franklevin
    This isn’t a good podcast
I’m a huge Cavs fan, and I love NBA podcasts. So it’s disappointing that the Locked On Cavs pod is not good. The hosts are quite boring, and forgettable. I’ve tried to get into this pod so many times but it’s just not interesting to listen to these guys. It’s like listening to 2 fans talking at a game, not experts or insiders.
  • topheradollar
    The worst
Evan picked the Cavs to start 0-15 this year. That was the last straw on this downer duo of a podcast. They are also mostly wrong on things they try to report.
  • Verbal_Math
    Just gets better and better
I used to listen to Locked on Cavs every once in a while and just thought it was ok. But Chris and Evan have become a fun and informative team. This has become a daily listen. It’s been a treat hearing these two grow into really strong podcasters. Recommended.

    Host Is Horrible
As a Cavs fan I was happy to find this podcast. But it’s so hard to listen to the host. He slurs his words horribly and mumbles a lot while talking too fast and moving back and forth between multiple thoughts within a single sentence. And I’m not sure there’s a teenage girl in America who can fit more “like”s into a three minute drone as him. Please, dude. Work on your communication. Or get a new host.
  • Yorkky
    Stop talking over each other!!!
Decent commentary and a good source of up-to-date analysis but I cannot stand how the hosts talk over each other the entire time. I don’t know if it’s a lack of chemistry or experience podcasting or what but the cadence is always off and the constant interruptions make me cringe. Half the time you can’t even hear the first speaker finish his thought or sentence and it’s clear that the other person doesn’t even care that they’re doing it.
  • chrisbrownsfan090909
    Great pod
Great pod! Got a question. Is this a good basketball team? Second thoughts on caris levert with the cavs. Thanks
  • Trogdor#34
    Chris is obnoxiously bad
The only reason I give 2 stars and not 1 is because occasionally they will give some good stats and facts about my favorite team. However, they more often than not will be doing an add read, talking about anything but the Cavs (including politics), and throwing shade at the much better Chase Down podcast. Episodes will abruptly end in the middle of a thought and half of each episode is filled with terrible and cringe adds. Chris only makes this worse by being obnoxious and constantly cutting off or talking over his co-host and guests. He seems to not even like the Cavs, calling himself an “observer, not a fan” so I don’t understand why he even does this podcast. He also is constantly overly worried about going over on time that he won’t allow any truly good discussion of the cavaliers. Basically he’s a total buzzkill for the podcast. Hopefully he gets better or they find someone else because after months of listening I’m tempted to stop. Sorry for the negativity, I’m just being honest with my thoughts.

Super corny but what’s not to love.

Low quality Audio, lower quality hosts
Good to listen to for info when news is breaking and you want analysis. Both hosts come off as genuinely unlikeable people. They definitely take online feedback way what too personally, should probably grow up a little. Also the audio is absolutely awful, but that’s to be expected I guess. Overall it’s fine sometimes just know what you’re getting into
  • Mukoo-
    Awful chemistry
I’ve never left a review in all my years of listening to podcasts but after listening to probably 2-3 dozen episodes because of my Cavs passion, I’ve concluded this is the worst podcast pair I’ve been heard. Nothing personal, but you two are not funny alone and combined you’re even worse. Also Evan D on Twitter comes off as a fraud/Sam Amico disciple (not a complement). I hope you guys take this as a sign to actually try and get better. Chris just because you can record everyday doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try and produce quality. Quantity over quality does not apply here fellas. Are you guys on a delay? Why do you constantly talk over each other followed by long awkward pauses. Your jokes are lame are your takes are worse. Best of luck.

    It is content.
I tune in at times because it’s consistent content and I love the Cabs. They also do a great job of getting some very good guests on. I respect that they both seem to really care about Cavs basketball but it can be difficult to listen to at times. Here are a couple things that are tough when listening: 1. Chris comes in so strong at time and often interrupting guests before they can finish their point. He comes in strong and loud and not always sure even what he wants to say. I would really suggest finding a way to limit the words “like”, “maybe”, and “totally”. They “like” part makes the show so difficult to listen to. I know it’s not easy but it needs to happen. 2. Evan is almost the complete opposite with this extreme monotone approach. I think the only problem here is that I have to turn it up to hear Evan only to have Chris come in out of no where and blow out my ear drums. 3. Sometimes the audio is absolutely terrible. There are times that Chris is cutting out the majority of show.

Read more before you dip into politics
Keep your uninformed left wing politics to yourself. Really dumb.
  • Recyled ideas
Good guys, can be much much better
You are both nice guys, but you don’t offer much other than regurgitated info, and empty platitudes. When you make a statement, dive deeper and actually explain. Also it’s quite transparent you guys are tweeting “rumors” for attention or lack any understanding of the NBA landscape. Re: Evan’s tweet not only claiming that the Thunder offer Sga and the 6th pick for the 3rd pick but that the Cavs would turn said offer down. Either you lack a fundamental understanding of the league or you are knowingly tweeting out absurdity for attention, I’d go with the latter.

    Great Daily Cavs Podcast
Chris and Evan do a great job of bringing daily Cavs content for a team that can at times be frustrating to follow daily. I appreciate those guys and would recommend this pod to anyone looking for some daily Cavs action!

    Analysis
Guys, I think it would help to get some more meaningful analysis these discussion points. I don’t disagree w some of your takes on Wanamaker or Archidacano or others being possible backup point options, but tell me why, tell me the skill sets they bring to the table and why their skills fit with our team before just ultimately writing off the whole conversation to go back to Delly. It makes the conversation feel either lazy, misinformed, or both. While I may know about these players you can’t assume your entire listener base knows the whole league

    Starving Cavs Fan
I’ve tried. I’ve tried so hard. This podcast... I just can’t... They just can’t break down the game. Their analysis is absolutely horrid. Their trade and free agency ideas, please someone stop them. Save yourselves some time and just listen to The Chase Down Podcast ✌🏻

Chris and Evan really help me learn more about the team. They also make this podcast entertaining so that makes me happy! They also dedicate there time daily to bring us great information.

    Solid
Cool most of the time but things can take a deep deep deep dive towards pessimism. Pessimism is Cleveland sports 🤷🏿‍♂️.
  • So bad... So bad...
    For Every Cavs Enthusiast!!
I cannot recommend this podcast enough for Cavs enthusiasts. I’ve been listening for over a year now & absolutely love it. You can tell Chris and Evan (the hosts) put a ton of work and energy into making this the best it can be. They’ve also found a way to build a digital community around the Cavs. This is especially great for anyone who lives outside of Cleveland - I’m from Cincinnati & they’ve made me feel connected to other fans of my favorite team.

Since there’s a clear top 5 in this draft, say the Cavs end up drafting at 4 or 5 and the only players left in the big 5 left are Suggs and Green. Do you guys think they take one of them and try to make it work, trade the pick, or take someone else who fits better? Thanks boys love the pod roll Cavs
  • WizardofScience
    Excellent, dedicated podcast
These guys do an excellent job breaking down each game. They also do a good job keeping their ear to the rumor mill while being realistic about the team, players, trades, and the future. Optimism and positivity that isn’t fanciful. Overall a great way to stay tuned in if you’re a hardcore fan who missed a game, a casual fan who wants to stay appraised of the team, or a new fan who wants to quickly get to know everything there is to know about the team.

    Amazing Cavs Coverage
Evan and Chris have a wonderful thing here with the Locked on Cavs podcast. These two have wonderful balance in their attitudes, ideas, and overall outlook on the state of the Cavs. They always break down the most recent scores/news and provide much needed insight into the current condition of the team. Having short daily episodes keeps you the most up to date on the team while also keeping the podcast fresh and entertaining. If you’re a Cavs fan and looking for a great podcast, make LoC your go-to!

    Making the Cavs Fun Again
This dynamic duo has made my love for the cavs even stronger. Being from Boston has made it impossible to hear anything about the cavs but this podcast changed that. Two of the most genuine people in the business!
