This podcast has been life changing and insanely helpful as I’ve wrestled through a lot of my past theological beliefs in search of a renewed theology, that is still biblically based. I’ve also read several of Greg’s books and I am just so incredibly thankful for his writings. They have been very healing for me. Dan is great too of course! Awesome team here.

I have been listening to this podcast since the beginning. What I love most is the freedom to share your questions, doubts, concerns, and revelations on the challenges of living a Jesus-centered life in current times on a wide array of subjects. Greg and Dan make for a fun, challenging, and thought-provoking experience. If you haven’t made this podcast a part of your weekly growth campaign, I suggest you do. Greg has a very pleasant and non-arrogant way of explaining his views of questions people ask about God, the Bible and faith. I love how he uses his immense Biblical and historical knowledge to inform listeners of not just the answers they are asking, but, when necessary, Greg also addresses the problems with the questions themselves, competing views when they exist, and he isn’t afraid to say he doesn’t know when he doesn’t and explain why maybe we can’t know all answers.

Topics getting kind of ridiculous. Come on. They pick questions (Dan) based on conversations they can steer to conversations relative to selling books. It’s about them. Seems like Greg helps his homeys write books and get them published. But he always has profound wisdom of the word IMO. I got a nastygram email from Dan dripping w judgement and condescension.

More people & podcasts are talking these days about the things Jesus taught (in the 4 gospels), but there are a few of his teachings that almost never get serious coverage. Several references (EXCLUDING the “rich young ruler”) are made in Luke about selling all of one’s possessions & giving to the poor and then this teaching is shown to be taken seriously by the time we get to the book of Acts (end of chapters 2 & 4). Another powerful & often neglected paradigm-changing (IF taken at face value) teaching of Jesus is found in Mt. 6:24; Lk. 16:13-14). This has been called the “Two Masters teaching”, one being God/Love and the other/opposite one being money. What would Christianity look like, both inside its confines and to the world at large, if these teachings were given much more serious consideration and application? Take a leap of faith and dive deep into these teachings! ✌🏼

Boyd needs a new Mic.

I listen just about everyday during my morning commute. Greg and Dan give great handles to tough theological questions. They present thought-provoking ideas and throughout my day, I find myself wrestling with whatever they present. Highly recommend to anyone from all spaces on the faith journey … from the spiritually curious to the long-time committed Jesus-followers.

I don’t always agree with Pastor Boyde , sometimes his political views bleeds through on his teachings , but I believe he’s been blessed with some deep insights into Some of the deeper issues in the Bible. So I find myself coming back and listening to him once in a while.

I love Doctor, Pastor Boyd! He is ALWAYS pointing back to Jesus and our need for Him, as well as reading the Bible prayerfully, carefully, and wisely. He does not shirk from difficult questions, but also never just is like “Well, I guess we can’t trust God” because he obviously believes, correctly I think, that our faith will show itself to be true, even while it corrects our thinking on things, ultimately getting us back to trusting in and following the risen Christ Jesus. Also, Boyd is never arrogant, rude, or domineering: he always tries to carefully and kindly deal with the tough questions to challenge us, but also keep us trusting in Jesus. Worth your listen.

Greg Boyd, Pastor and author, brings his expansive mind to this podcast. I’m not always a fan of short, sometimes under-5 minute podcasts, but Boyd packs a lot into one podcast in a short, concise way. Also, love the drum solo intro!!

Where has this been all my life?!!

I look for new discussion questions every day. As a theology and life application junkie, I love the discussions with Greg and Dan. Greg’s books and teachings (along with Bruxy and Zahnd) saved my faith in the church. For years I thought I was alone in my thinking about the teachings of Jesus that were 180 degrees from the nationalistic and militaristic teachings in the SBC I attended. Greg’s Cruciform hermeneutic and Christocentric view of all scripture has opened up so many blessings and ways to see the true God (who is Love). God bless y’all for all you do for the kingdom of God. ✌🏼

I would appreciate you discussing patriarchy as cultural rather than a power structure God established. Please mention the fall and God’s predictions not prescription that people will rule over others and in the New Testament how man is referred as the head over women. It seems to me patriarchy and the abuse over power existed before the writing of the first five books of the Bible. It appears to me it it is cultural like many other things in the background of the Bible like slavery, polygamy, and others than can be misunderstood as God’s design. Please expand my understanding of these topics Keep doing the work you are doing. Thanks, LAN, Ph.D

The best part of the podcast, is that each episode wrestles with one question. It doesn’t go on and on for an hour just filling time with nonsense. Also, I saw some reviewers don’t like the drums, better to have drums than cheesy background music

Definitely worth subscribing. The drums give me anxiety though. :/ Maybe that’s the point?

Straight and to the point. Greg always gets me thinking and I’m thankful that he has clearly spent so much time thinking about so many deep theological topics.

Greg is great, and so is this podcast, but I’m not interested in the episodes done without Greg.

Greg is a must listen to when you doubt bc it’s embraced and it has become beauty

I have some fairly major theological disagreements with Greg, but that’s not why I gave the 1 star. It was the stupid drums. Seriously guys, get rid of the drum solos.

THE BEST podcast for a short commute. It's become commonplace for me to read the episode title and try to guess Greg's response. (Sometimes I'm not far off :)). Greg and Dan are awesome! One request - more Barbara on the show, her questions are great!

Love the Q&A style and the variety of topics. Challenging, thoughtful, and encouraging.

Greg does a great job of taking complex theological concepts and explaining them simply. He is one of the few pastoral teachers that has helped me make sense out of the whole of Scripture.

Greg‘s interpretation of the Bible and philosophy are very insightful. I have been reading his books and following his teachings since the late 90s. If it were not for his teachings, I may likely be in atheist today.

I grew up in Las Vegas not Christian, but ended up going to three very different Bible colleges with vastly different forms of theology. I always struggled with the God depicted in the Old Testament versus Jesus depicted in the New. Greg has offered the best answers to this age old question that I’ve ever encountered and has really helped to deepen and strengthen my faith. Thank you!

Great podcast, but a little surface level sometimes. Mostly very informative overall.

Greg and Dan make a great team for discussing very important theological topics. The discussion is humanizing and lifegiving. I actually love that this is a short podcast, as they're great for short trips in the car.

This podcast does an excellent job of addressing concerns and apparent contradictions of a Christian faith based on Scripture. I have recommended it to skeptics and professing "believers" alike as a good starting point for re-examining doctrine. Well done!

Dr. Boyd provides a logical foundation upon which to think about faith. Thoughtful and thought provoking. And for those who are time constrained, each podcast is 5-8 minutes.
