Very one sided and ideological. Christianity and conservative politics masquerading as medicine, lots of misinformation.

I was so excited to learn effective parenting tips. So saddened to hear on my first episode I listened to Meg day one of her favorite guests on the show is Tucker Carlson. This is not the group for values for children. What a huge disappointment. I tried to listen to more episodes but in the end it just felt like an infomercial on Fox News.

Love listening to Dr. Meg! She is EXCELLENT. My thirteen and ten year old daughters especially love the “Ask Dr. Meg” segments. Keep up the great work!

Meg delivers common sense and wisdom when dealing with your children. She is truly one of the best and someone I go to regularly for parenting advice end guidance.

I listened to the episode about video game addiction and at times thought I was listening to an infomercial. This episode seemed very canned—more like an opportunity for two people to pitch their products than a true conversation. Also, the only evidence used in this hour long episode to back up personal opinions about video game usage were anecdotal experiences with their own children (and the supposed glowing reviews their children gave them for banning smart phones and video games entirely). You have to wonder what was going on in the guest speaker’s family to drive her son to escape with video games in the first place. 🤷‍♀️

Great podcast from a great woman

Subscribed as she actually has good parenting points often, but getting into politics and religion and the latest on CRY was too much. Try the good inside podcast less polemics and rants.

Dr. Meeker gives excellent advise, I have learned a lot from her, but I question some of the people she interviews like Ken Harrison for example, I kept having an adverse reaction to everything he was saying even though I didn’t disagree with some of it. It was the arrogance and lack of Christian humility.

Thank you for being brave and unashamed to talk about controversial topics for parents and women. I find your parenting advice practical and not based solely on opinion

I was delighted when I discovered this podcast and all the great guests that I already know and love. It’s so wonderful to hear Meg and these other brilliant minds talk about being a good parent in this challenging culture. Just what I need as I navigate parenthood and all it’s twists and turns!

Hello Dr. Meg! Thank you so much for your courage and bravery to have an honest and open conversation with Dr. Marty Makary. He is such a level-headed and wise voice in the world of public health right now! I appreciated your thoughts and his and both of your research on whether or not kids should get the Covid vaccine. We are not getting our kids vaccinated for it as most kids get Covid and it is not a big deal at all. Both of our children are healthy kids! Love your podcast and keep the great conversations coming!

…then the vaccine episode came out. ‘We need our lives back’…really? Yes get vaccinated and we will! Schools shouldn’t mandate masks? Are you insane? Where’d you find this crazy crackpot guest?!

I am really disappointed about the one sided conversation with the covid vaccine. There was no research discussed proving that people who had covid produce long term antibodies unlike diseases such as measles. There was a discussion about how vaccines have never been presented as being taken to protect the community not just the individual getting the vaccine - untrue I.e. measles & polio to name a few. Vaccines have always been suggested to protect the individual and community. One reason schools require vaccines. And who are they to say children are being coerced to take a vaccine. Are these children's parents not of the age of consent, are they dumb and illiterate? These children's parents most likely are the ones who themselves have gotten the vaccine and they are fully informed themselves and can decide what is best without pressure from either side. they sound like anti-vaxxers.

Miserable

I want to love this podcast, but the first NINE minutes were commercials, and then there were commercial breaks during the episode that were also several minutes long. It’s just not worth it to wade through commercials to get to the content. Bummer.

I enjoy listening to this podcast as I have learned a lot about my son who’s 8yrs old and was diagnosed with ADHD, Anxiety, and ODD when he was 6yrs old. Every day is a struggle, but I keep my head up and know he’s also struggling with his mental illness and I need to be there to be the best mom and never give up!

Severely lacking an understanding of child development/psychology. We now have 50+ years of data to help guide parenting/discipline in order to improve the outcome of our children’s mental health and overall success. We should be trying to get these science-backed strategies to become mainstream, rather than perpetuating our parents’ and their parents’ fear-based, authoritarian methods.

Dr. Meg engages the topics that overwhelm me most as a parent. I've realized how big of a role fear plays in parenting and how the answer is education. Dr. Meg makes what's most important about this journey digestible and easy to implement.

It’s not just boys who have adhd. A bit sexist. Also too much Christian. Not inclusive to those of us who have girls who are not Christian. Disappointing because a lot of the ingredients was good but what a turn off

A must listen! As parents it’s always helpful to take a moment to reflect on this important work we are doing. This Podcast is a tool I use for keeping things fresh and in perspective. I also love the persistent advocacy for smart use and introduction of technology.

The content is great but the amount of fluff from the host - chit chat, ads, etc you have to endure to get to the content just isn’t worth it

I have an hour commute to work and these episodes are just under that so I can complete them, retain them, and have the day to reflect them. Extremely helpful and truly beneficial!! Love Meg and all her work!

I downloaded this for access to parenting advice, but this is hard, conservative brainwashing. Her advice is not helpful or constructive. Added to constant self promotion, I couldn't make it through a whole episode.

I’ve listened to two episodes so far and both were pitching a product. Both episodes explained more about a product than actually giving any advice. I’ve wasted my time.

I love you, Dr. Meg, but I’m disappointed that the podcast today featured an ad with your enthusiastic support of masks AND a book that is endorsed by Ariana Huffington. Yuck. It just doesn’t feel like the Dr. Meg I’ve come to love.

The last few sentences- usually a power moment for an interviewee-is blocked out by your end music that starts playing during those words. The music is fun, but I wish it would wait so I could feel and hear the power of those ending messages. I have wished this during many interviews. Just a personal preference suggestion. Congratulations on the milestone. I read “Strong Daughters” while in Punta Cana with my wife. We took our 2 kids to a Hard Rock right before Thanksgiving this year. Now, I’ll have another connection to the podcast! Thank you for what you, and your team, do

Surprised by the new agey content scattered throughout the podcast.

I really enjoy listening to Meg’s podcasts!! And I’ve recommended many family and friends to subscribe as well. Throughout her discussions though she often refers to “moms” instead of parents and that tends to bother me a lot since my husband is helping raise our kids just as much as I am. Still give the show 5 stars just wish Meg would change her verbiage. ;)

I was really disappointed with the sex ed episode. It was productive in instilling a fear/negative spin on sex and conversations regarding sex rather than the positives to having open and honest age appropriate conversations with children right away.

She had a guest on an episode who spoke about how being a stay at home parent was the best way to raise a child, completely insulting to working mothers

I really like her interview style, guests, & tips. Minus one star for her view on vaccines.
