I absolutely love this show, but I’m really sick and tired of getting Covino and Rich thrown down my throat and my esophagus with no water to go down please stop chatting with no talent having people they know nothing about sports on the same feed I’m really sick and tired of having to clear out my menu. I’m just close to stopping the roof to Collin altogether that’s how bad and annoying Rick and Covino and all the other stupid show that I don’t want in my Steve

I’ve been listening to Colin for 10 years now. I’ve been loving this format for the last seven. Creative and unique takes on all sports I love, and doesn’t waste time with things that don’t matter. Hits all the talking points that I personally care about. Keep it up Colin. I know you don’t know me, but it oddly feels like I do you. Also, who cares what everybody says about Jay Mack. You too me well. He keeps you young, and you provide the wisdom he needs 😜 Keep on keeping on.

I like the Herd but I’m losing patience with having to clear out a growing list of shows that are part of the same stream. I know the intended affect is to make us listen to their other shows, but instead it’s making me want to quit completely.

I love the herd because of the way he describes everything and the way the show is run Jmac is the best cohost in years.

Please take Covina and Rick out of my feed. Stop shoving these no talents down my throat!

I titled this as I did because, ‘oh by the way’, EVERY sports media person is using this phrase now, including Colin. It is interesting to me how phrases are used and then become virally used by everyone. ‘Oh, by the way’, you can be different and not a victim of media catch phrases. I am a Broncos fan, have been since 1977, and I listen to lots of sports podcasts, including Colin. I agree with many who aren’t fond of J-Mac as he is so biased toward, what he deems are ‘stars’, and not those athletes who just grind it out whether they are publicly known or not. Ironic his favorite star loaded team, the Jets, are such a failure. I guess having stars on a team isn’t always very important. Maybe open your mind up a bit, J-Mac. I agree, I miss Joy hugely and won’t listen to The Herd if Colin is taking a break. With all the teams and all the stories, I think Colin and his team (I assume he has a team) does a fabulous job of researching daily events and keeping up on it. Not an easy task. And to do spontaneous shows when something sports worthy happens is huge dedication. And I like your format as I often read the summary and may skip a segment if the topic doesn’t interest me. I have no problem with ads, I listening for free and ads are what allows me to do so so that you, and your show, make an income. ‘Oh, by the way’, for those complaining about ads, you can skip through them with any podcast app. Thanks, Colin!

MUST stop saying “I’ve said this” and “your guy” 10 - 20 times a show

The Herd is the new best sports show IMO ever since Shannon left Undisputed. I’m not glued to every episode like I was Undisputed but this is my new GO-TO and Colin never lets me down. He brings on some good guests like Mark Sanchez and Hasselbeck who bring great opinions based on their expertise as former players. Nothing against Nick Wright but I skip those whole segments bc I dont understand why I should listen. Great stuff I listen to the full shows at least 3 of them a week via podcast -WakeupSweep YT

Let’s talk about LeBron again… and again… and again… and again….

You won me over this morning when you said there’s to many “Jones” in the front office in Dallas. And basically just saying he needs to go. Nobody else seems to be saying that. Jerry Jones is the issue.

This is a daily listen for me as I drive around during my work hours. Love the entire crew and energetic atmosphere.

Colin.. do you really need to chew your ice from your drink in the microphone? It’s gross. Do better.

This is basically his show on Fox, but in a 45 min recap and his little side kick isn’t there to ruin it by saying nonsense. That guys is not good at his job.

For as long as I’ve listened to Colin, he has been one of the best, if not the best. But, for some reason, he felt it was necessary to go political…and unfortunately, I don’t go to sports radio for politics…maybe some do and maybe that is a new subset of the sports demographic…but not me. Best of luck Colin!

And I subscribe to the show to listen to the Herd. I don’t mind when the other shows (not the Herd or Colin) are added to the feed occasionally, but on a regular basis it gets annoying & clogs up my podcast feed. Had to hit unsubscribe & pull the show up only when I want to listen to it.

Best sports tv radio podcast show out there. Late comment but J-Mac has helped make this show so much sharper after moving on from Joy. He actually cares about most takes and seems very present in each show. While he could ease up at times, his and Colin’s chemistry is fantastic…. Coming back to review a few months later because man this show is getting better and better. Best daily sports talk period.

I’ve listened to The Herd for many years and consider Colin to be one of my favorite sports journalists. He has credible sources and validated opinions with facts and insight. The only downside is having to hear some of his political jabs that are unnecessary and not conducive to sports.

I really like the format of this show and the segments that Colin does (right/wrong, top Ten, Blazing Five). But his analyses and narratives are pretty shallow and sometimes seem out of touch. He has his list of players, coaches, and teams that are his favorites and a list of those he dislikes and Colin continues to report on them over and over and over again. JMAC is a pretty annoying cohost and often overly aggressive for some reason; Napoleon Complex? Colin often puts coaches like Sean Peyton on a high pedestal while tearing down others that have had way more success than Sean in recent years simply because they text each other sometimes lol. Finally, I admit Colin is a pretty smart individual, but I’ve not seen a sports show host go out of his way so often to interject his political views. People watch and listen to sports news to avoid political news, Colin, you’d think you would know better than to push away a large part of your audience.

I have listened to Colin since 2009. He’s undoubtedly my favorite commentary in sports. Love his ability to take a perspective totally different than mine.

Love the segments of “Where Colin was right, Where Colin was Wrong” & “The Herd Hierarchy”. Always great banter when Joel Klatt & Nick Wright come on as well as other guests. This show thrives during the NFL season. There’s some takes of Colin that I agree with, and some that I don’t. But that makes it fun and always an entertaining listen. Best of the Herd is a nice 45 minute listen & recap. Some pretty long brutal ad reads, besides that, great content & engaging sports talk.

This is my favorite sports show. Really like the addition of John M. Love the after game analysis with Collin & John on Sunday and Monday night.

I get people go on vacations but for the love of god get anyone other than cavino and rich to take over when Colin is gone

Colin is funny because he takes daily jabs at greatness. He will jab at Belichick 6 rings, Popovich 5 rings, and he jabs at Jordan 6 rings arguably the best at what they do. For someone who is a successful businessman you would think he knows it takes different ways to be great. For the above three obsession and work ethic led them to greatness. Why jab at it…embrace it & let them evolve or not. What they have done will not be matched and there is nothing wrong with that. Allow history to be what it is and by the way winning & being the best is not always pretty. The love of the game looks different for so many & the winning for so many looks different too….17 rings looks pretty good to me. Focus on the winning that was a scandal not just tough coaching & a will to win matched by none.

Love that Colin stays positive and optimistic, while being an entertaining listen. It’s rare to have a podcast that I’ve stuck with so long on and off over the years since 2016.

For the most part, Cowherd provides easy listening and plentiful content for those looking to keep up with the NFL, College Sports, NBA, and Caitlin Clark. Like any show that puts out hours of content on a daily basis, there are bound to be some stale or contradicting takes but that's somewhat unavoidable. I don't care for listening to lazy political takes in my sports shows though. Politics is a different genre and takes more time and analysis to do well and not annoy your audience.

For being a savvy businessman, he’s quite stupid to constantly be alienating and insulting 50% of America by bashing political views of the republican party and President Trump. Stick to sports or lose audience and listeners. Colin has developed some arrogant liberal points of view. I guess he is from Washington state…. Makes sense.

I appreciate the fact that Collin gives honest opinions based on his personal observations and data he sees. I also appreciate his approach of new info can equal a different opinion. That is refreshing and it’s real life. I also like the metaphors he uses to make points and his reflections on real life situations he lived through as many of us have similar experiences. Great show!!

The Herd and Colin’s other podcast are great…when they stick to sports. Witty, clever and sometimes contrarian. My only critique is how he and his sometimes guest host Nick Wright will have a very nuanced discussion about how some other people in the media have nuanced discussions that are slanted or one sided and then proceed to do the exact same thing that they just criticized other for. FYI you shouldn’t state that you lean one way and then proceed to pat yourself on the back for being impartial and rational. I still love the show and never miss a day

Unsubscribed after years of listening. Colin used to have interesting thoughts in the sports world. Now his takes are hot, repetitive or boring (or all three). He has now injected a lot of obnoxious (and quite frankly wrong) political takes, which was the final straw. Colin’s The Volume network of other sports podcasts are good with talented hosts and worth a listen. But try to avoid Colin’s show.

Been listening to Colin for 15 years. He is gifted, energetic, and works hard to make a great show each day. Wish isn’t wasn’t so NBA focused but other than that, I like the stories he chooses to cover. Do wish he would stay out of politics, I think it probably annoys half his audience so not sure why he does it. Overall, very good show.

Colin, you have lost sight of your audience that does not hang with the political class. Your sports savvy is legendary but we are not all democrats and don’t want to hear your denigration of politicians you don’t support. You say you are conservative on financial issues. Have you been in the grocery store or don’t you do that for yourself? Too many dinners with the rich and powerful, dude. I guess that’s you now.

I left Lebatard because he spent too much time on left-leaning politics, and now you too? It’s not why we’re here, please don’t do that. Cali is trash and the rest of us know it, they can’t even keep Elon’s companies because they’re too busy taking rights away from parents. STICK TO SPORTS WHERE YOU EXCEL

Please stick to sports; I’m not interested in your political views, insights or opinions. If you want to talk about that then get another. Handle to put that out on; I’ve followed you for years for I enjoy your show that’s based on sports.

I used to truly enjoy the escape of their rather insightful and interesting predictions and commentary. Lately, they cannot help themselves and are now political pundits. If you insult 50% of America and discuss your rather haughty and holier-than-thou political views every show, the endless virtue signaling will cause a loss of much of your audience. Your show is no longer enjoyable, it is in fact rather tiresome.

You have to get past any emotions you have about a team or player he has strong opinions about. I used to get really annoyed about his Aaron Rodgers takes but in the end he turned out to be right on about him. Try and watch and listen without your biases and you just might understand where he’s coming from
