    Too Much Negativity
The content is good, but is overcast by ADWCTA’s negativity. I’ve tried several times to get into this podcast, but the complaining is off-putting. This one’s a pass for me.

    Expert arena advice on tap
Fantastic crunchy breakdown on the new set, love having the entire set review on podcast. Great show and great advice on relevant meta topics each episode

    THE Arena Podcast
Excellent show. I love the discussion of the meta and the shifting power levels of classes and cards as new sets and micro adjusts happen. I am now an infinite with quests player and this podcast is a huge part of that. Thanks Adwcta and Merps!

Made my arena run worse 5/5

    Subject Matter Experts
Merps and ADWCTA have an incredible understanding of all aspects of Arena. If you are starting out, look through the older episodes to find great material on fundamentals of play. If you already have a good grasp of the basics then jump right in and be prepared to find out how little you actually understand about all things Arena.

    Endless cycle of complaints
I used to enjoy listening to this podcast, but recently ADWCTA and merps have put off actual arena advice for the majority of the podcast to complain about Blizzard. I agree that not everything that Blizzard does is perfect, but they can discuss this and how to adjust your game going forward on the decisions being made without just whining that their perfect version of arena isn't currently in place. I just turned off my last episode that I will listen to of this podcast after they spent the first 20 minutes complaining that they didn't get a personalized response from the design team after they sent them an email. It comes off as entitled and you can find better things to do with your time than listen to their complaints.

    Best Hearthstone arena podcast
Merps (#1 arena player in July 2017) and Adwcta offer the best arena strategy in podcast form. Their advice has helped me hit back to back top 10 finishes on the leaderboard. They are very good at predicting arena metagame shifts, keeping listeners ahead of their opponents.

I want this to be good, but I cant take it anymore
I am glad these guys are putting out some content out there for the Arena focused like myself. I was originally really excited to listen. For the last 3 months I have listened to this show and the podcasts are starting to become a broken record. Since the 7.1 patch rather than talk about playing arena and arena strategy the majority of each show (30-45 minutes) has become, "How Blizzard is making arena bad for us and we are going to tell you how (over and over) to "fix" the game to suit our tastes because Blizzard is dumb and we are so much smarter." I don't think the hosts realize how this is coming across, but it does come across this way, and this message and the points that they use to rehearse this argument over and over again have killed any joy from listening to this podcast. I think they need to take a step back from this direction and consider that Blizzard's interests are not neccessarily ADWCTA and Merps' interests. I hope they will also consider that people listen to their show because they enjoy the arena, and want to learn more about playing arena as it exists much more than they want to hear the hosts use the majority of the show to discuss how they think arena should be. The constant sardonic attitude of the hosts towards the Hearthstone Arena makes this show tough to listen to. I know you guys started this show because of your love for the game, I think you need to put a lot of that love you have for the game back into your show. If I want to get depressed about things I care about I will watch the news.

    Great Arena Podcast
A needed podcast that scratches the Arena itch. ADWCTA and Merps are extremely knowledgable and run a quality show without asking for constant donations and five star reviews!

    Enlighteningly Awkward
You into arena? Hell yeah. Arena is scary and rewarding. ADWCTA and Merps teach you how to think about it, win, and get that awesome loot. Best analysis around. But come on, you're going to love the awkward interactions between these two friends. Priceless. ADWCTA is my man, but something tells me Merps has a better winrate.

    the best hearthstone podcast
Just don't expect them to say any of the names right. Ok Maybe merps will sometimes. Great show great analysis, but the best episodes are the ones about the fundamentals of hearthstone. I really hope they give use a new one of those soon.

Like FiveThirtyEight, but for a card game
The GrinningGoat/Lightforge is the quintessential arena stream/podcast. ADWACTA and Merps have a good rapport and always deliver on skillful (and stat based) analysis of archetypes, meta-changes, and cards. Thank you for helping my commutes be productive as I try to improve my arena win average!
  • snrepp
    Complain Constantly
I tried to listen to a few of their podcasts because I wanted to learn from their arena expertise. It is painful to listen to the constant complaining. Very negative podcast.

    Great Podcast
I'm fairly new to Hearthstone and listening to current and archived podcasts has helped me go from 1-2 wins on average to 5-7 in a couple months.
  • Renofox
    110% HS strategy focused podcast
The only podcast that talks about arena. I don't know what happened but the show has devolved into ego-driven rants and uninspired pontification. Hopefully someday they drop the complaining rants and trim the show down to 30 minutes of thoughtful strategy.
  • Delnai17
    Best arena analysis, not concise
ADWCTA and Merps offer hands-down the best Arena analysis around. If you want concentrated information that will help you improve your performance in the arena, this is the place for you. The main thing keeping this from being a five star podcast is the hosts' inability to keep things concise. The podcast often has asides that don't add a lot to the discussion at hand. But much worse, when they disagree they tend to engage in arguments that go on for many exchanges rehashing the same ideas over and over, or very slowly refining ideas to come to terms. While it's true to some extent that listeners benefit from hearing the argument, it would be a far better use of our time if ADWCTA and Merps had the discussions beforehand and then in the podcast gave us the short version.

    Best Arena Podcast
Amazing meta analysis and strategy podcast for serious arena players. If you want to get good at arena then listen to this podcast. Also, dont judge ADWCTA by his pronunciations of card names, just know in your heart of hearts that Merps is making a silly face at him.

    Better than a Yeti!
The go to podcast for Hearthstone arena.

    Boring!
Super boring podcast about arena but if you like arena you probably like boring things so this is the podcast for you! I arena once and a while and feel pretty bored when I do which is about how I feel when I listen to this podcast. The hosts definitely are arena masters and know their stuff but even they can make arena great again!

    #1 HS Arena Podcast
Merps and ADWCTA, are the best source if you are interested in the Arena in HS. Listen to them if you want to get better over time in this mode.

Highly analytical discussion of Hearthstone Arena
Great discussion between two thoughtful hosts concerning how to best play Arena in Hearthstone (pronounced Harth-stone, not Herth-stone). They discuss evergreen topics as well as recent Meta changes. Very useful if you play Arena or are considering giving it a try. I finally reviewed this podcast after Merps corrected ADWCTA's pronounciation of Anima Golem. Keep up the good work Merps and please try to get him to pronounce "Ethereal" right.
  • SirBeagle
    Excellent
My favorite part of the show is how it is impossible to say "Merps" smoothly. The lady who opens and closes the show has an excellent voice and does a great job but it still comparatively sounds like "your cohosts ADWCTA~~ and Merrrps *fart*" A++

    Lightforge Helps!
Hey ADWCTA and Merps! Rob (Twik#1198) from Velen's Chosen podcast. Just wanted to let you guys have some iTunes love and tell you I really appreciate your show. We've mention all your work on HearthArena to our listeners before the fallout and continue to support your show on our show for budget player learning the game. I've personally used your tier list and Hearth Arena to further increase my best run to 9-3! Thanks again for pursuing the Arena in how you play the game, Keep on Forging these golden podcasts!

    Thank you!!
I have been an avid listener to you show. Because I have a 1 1/2 hour commute it helps pass the time. Today I was watching a previous arena run with the two of you playing rogue. It was awesome to see how intensely you think through each play. I finally got my chance to play rogue and I wasn't going to pass it up. I lost my first two games to some poor play on my part. But I remembered your play. I slowed down and really thought out my turns. Taking the advice you gave on the show and the stream and won my next 5 games in a row! Got my first 5 win run! Crazy awesome show and thanks for helping the bad arena players get just a little better and really enjoy the arena! #arenawarriorsmatter #alldaywecrushthearena

    Hype!
Incredibly educational podcast. As a primarily constructed player, this podcast has got me super hyped for arena-it's all I've played since I started listening. Thanks guys!
  • Pirata52
    Best Hearthstone podcast.
I love that it's an arena only podcast. The arena deserves just as much attention as constructed gets and these guys do a good job talking in depth about the arena meta and strategies.
  • Spider9080
From the creators of Heartharena comes the greatest podcast ever!
Finally the one HS podcast focused entirely on arena! The other half of HS (Not according to Blizzard), where players focus on stats and random decks. Which take skill and planning to pilot. Thankfully ADWCTA and Merps are the masters!

ADWCTA and Merps are pure arena gods! These guys have such a high level of thought and analysis, it blows me away! If you don't learn something from this podcast, you weren't listening!

    Analytical, fun hearthstone commentary
These guys are the real deal. Their commentary is well thought through, they play the game a lot, and they are highly regarded in the HS community. I doubt anybody has a better handle on HS arena than ADWCTA and Merps.
  • Jeff08
    Best hearthstone podcast around
Perfect amount of informative and fun conversation. By far the best analytical arena players in the game. 2 genuinely highly intelligent people discussing arena and how to become great at it. If you're looking to improve your game from a lower tier of play or just want to tweak your high level play to become infinite this is ideal podcast to listen to.

Amazing website with a great podcast
As a ladder player looking for the best arena analysis I come to these guys. They are the smartest and most informed and well spoke arena players out there. Download this podcast, subscribe and donate!

    #ArenaWarriorsMatter
These guys rock! Merps balances ADWCTA’s cocky alpha-ness. Though I will says ADWCTA comes off as very intelligent and I really like his speaking voice; he is super articulate. Even though he cares about arena, I think his voice and speaking style is good enough that I’d wish he’d cast actual hearthstone tournaments considering the current pool of casters are mediocre. That aside, give these guys a listen!

    Finally something for arena
Great podcast for helping improve you arena skills. Awesome to see quality content focused on this often neglected aspect of Hearthstone.

    Analytical Approach to Hearthstone Limited
These guys are Hearthstone’s equivalent to Magic: The Gathering’s Limited Resources podcast, which is really high praise. Listen if you want to get better at limited play, and understanding how to go from picking cards to building decks.
  • Mcilvafr
Terrific resource to help you in arena
The hosts go in depth on the theory and mechanics of hearthstone arena play. Extremely informative while remaining lively and interesting. I discovered I had a very simplistic view of the arena. I loved the podcasts and my play improved noticeably after I started using their recommended approach. If you want to improve your arena results this is a must listen. Silverfox

Exactly the type of show i was looking for
Informative, to the point, and i always learn something each episode that has improved my game. Easily the best hearthstone podcast if you have an arena inclination

Come for the arena analysis, stay for ADWCTA's mispronunciation.

Another super awesome hearthstone podcast to add to my queue! It's really great to have an arena centric show and who better to do it than these two. Love it so far, 12 wins will be easy now!
