Tomorrow's Monsters

Headphones are highly recommended for this immersive, psychological, sci-fi thriller! John Boyega (STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS) stars as Jack Locke, a mysterious conman with a vendetta who infiltrates NextCorp, a Silicon Valley body-hacking startup run by enigmatic CEO Max Fuller, played by Emmy winner Darren Criss (AMERICAN CRIME STORY: THE ASSASSINATION OF GIANNI VERSACE). Nextcorp has secretly been developing a revolutionary new mind app that promises to amplify the human brain in incredible ways. "Shut-Eye," promises to change the world by eliminating its users’ need to sleep, but when participants of the human trials begin dying off, the program is shut down. Max starts testing the product on himself, unleashing a dormant and dangerous alter ego. As Jack goes toe to toe with Max and his fractured psyche, he finds himself on the run for his life in a race to stop a dark plot seeking to radically advance humankind to its next stage of evolution.

    Love this podcast
I absolutely love this podcast but we need a second season I have re-listened so many times.

    So addictive
This was such an addictive show. I started listening at the gym and would put off showering to keep the story going. Storyline was super engaging and the sound editing was great- it gets quiet in spots so it’s hard to listen when there’s a lot of background noise but this was a fun ride!

    Great story and sound work

    Loved this! But…
There was one plot hole - maybe more of a credulity hole - that nagged me all the way through: In this day and age, you can’t get hired at a 7-11 without being thoroughly vetted. So, the idea that a hustler like Jack could good-con his way into one of the world’s foremost biotech firms and think “they” didn’t know or wouldn’t find out his real identity just isn’t believable. So, for that one nagging factor, listening to every episode, I found myself annoyed, thinking, “The storytelling is great! The pacing is fantastic. But I know - everyone must know - that at some point this going to climax with ‘them’ revealing that they knew all along who Jack was and why he applied for a job at Nextcorp in the first place. Or maybe I’m just a curmudgeon. Credulity hole or not, it was a great bit of storytelling. And the actors all voiced their characters to perfection. I could feel their emotions. Hope a second season is forthcoming!

Enjoyed the show when it came out last year. Been waiting a year now for season two tho and starting to wonder if it is gonna happen.

    Freakin awesome!
Loved this show. The acting was great, the story was fun (in a dark way) and moved along flawlessly. Can’t wait for Season 2.

    Love ! Love! Love!
I loved this one! It was nice to hear a diverse group as well as the sound quality and actors were probably the best of many podcasts i listen to! Between this one and Mordeo i don’t know which absolutely love more ! I am so appreciative of the production quality! Hoping for a second season! ❤️

    Excellent voice acting
And the mystery is intriguing enough. However, the technology at the center of this podcast is entirely implausible.

    Excellent! I’m impressed!
Very entertaining, well written and excellently performed and executed. It seems so difficult to find a well-made fiction podcast, so I am very pleased, and grateful for all who made this show. My only complaint is that there isn’t more available yet, so I guess that’s probably a compliment! I will be looking forward to the next season!

    Good until the disappointing end
Story was good until the ending, which was honestly disappointing. I don’t know if they plan on making a second season, but they sent really mixed signals between the ending of the show and the epilogue. Felt like my time was wasted. Otherwise well produced and acted.

One of the best podcasts I have ever listened to.
The story was immaculate, the VA’s were amazing, and it was a roller coaster of emotion the whole way through. I can’t wait to see what comes next!
  • theaverageteengirl
    Great suspense
The storyline is full of thrills and constantly keeps you on your toes. The characters are pretty intriguing and the voice acting is phenomenal. I’d give it 5 stars if the storyline was a little predictable and if the protagonist wasn’t so naïve.

Left me on the edge of my seat!!!
I love podcast but I’ve never had the experience of a podcast and a tv show wrapped in one. I was entranced from the first episode and I couldn’t stop listening. I had to listen twice because I knew the first time around I missed some details. This is an addicting show that you can listen on repeat and never get bored! The acting was phenomenal I didn’t even miss not having a tv show to physically watch, I could envision everything as if reading a book. It’s Audible on steroids! I can’t wait for season two!

    Superb
A gem. Superbly written, acted and produced. Can’t wait for Season 2.

    Oh yes!
A fun, old school sci-fi adventure. Really smart, Boyega is great to listen to and the story arch is great. Time well spent.

Such an addicting storyline! Hopefully there is more to come!!!

Wait until the series ends, then binge it. No rush.
Flawless and topical program I really, truly enjoy. Only two reasons I give this 3 instead of 5 stars. First is that there are far too many commercials, so that a 35min episode you wait a week for is really more like 20mins. I and many others love to binge on media. The entire arc of this series is already finished being made, but they purposely only release one episode a week, which I find manipulative and insulting.
  • Melackfood
    SO GOOD
Everything about it is top notch. The story, the acting, the sound production.
  • Cyn181
    Slow Start... but Wow
I like to wait for all episodes to be out before I start. This one started slow and hard to follow. Then pow- it kicked in and I had to get to the end. Give me season 2 please
  • Carmexus
    Hard to follow
I really want to like this podcast. It has an interesting premise but I am finding it very hard to follow. The main character talks too fast and with his accent (which itself is beautiful), it can be a little hard to follow. I have to rewind constantly in order to not get lost. It’s just exhausting trying to keep my attention focused in order to follow the storyline. I listen to podcasts to chill out and to do mundane things like housework but with this podcast it’s a little difficult to do both at the same time. Sadly, I will probably not continue to listen.

Waiting for the new episode week- to -week ! I usually listen to sports podcasts but this is a fresh change of pace. John Boyega and the rest of the cast are doing a phenomenal job!

    Hooked!
This is an amazing series! I feel like I’m IN it. Help the story coming!
  • moppet_mi
    Weak & Illogical
Plot’s embarrassingly convoluted and silly, and the acting is ‘meh’ at best. It’s just not good. Even science-fiction is rooted in possibility. This podcast’s basic premise is unoriginal and unimaginative. Typical of professionally produced fiction podcasts it relies too heavily on slick sound design but the rest feels like a cheap TV pilot. Do better, or no thanks.

    More please
This podcast kelp me coming back for more.

    It’s alright
I came for John but left because of the story narration skipping all over the place with the timeline.

My go to for my drive home
I didn’t know what to expect because this is my first podcast for a story telling experience. I honestly can’t get enough. I need episode 7 like ASAP!! Thanks to David Chin for advertising this on IG so I could enjoy this work of art.
  • StayMelo123
    Amazing
This is such a great story. The more I listened the more I wanted more. Season 2 I’ll be waiting.
  • saliamichelle
    Absolutely phenomenal
The suspense build between the episodes each week is SO good I am so enticed by this storyline and the depths it’s going to as the weeks progress! All of the actors play off each other SO well and I have been hooked from the start! Marvelous marvelous marvelous!!!
  • Knittinggirl66
    Just not good
I was drawn to this podcast because of John Boyega and Darren Criss, but it’s simply not good. The writing is cliched and hyperbolic, and, unfortunately, Boyega only makes things worse with over-the-top acting. Criss fares better, but I stopped listening because of the silly writing and the histrionic acting. Too bad. Could have been interesting.

    Riveting
Wonderfully written. Well read. I am completely engrossed and think it’s awful that I have to wait a week for each new episodes. I’d pay to be able to get them all so I don’t have to wait to keep listing.
  • Loppor Deuce
    Why are episodes released whenever.
By the time I have time to listen to one episode, I’ve forgotten what the last one was. I need this released completely >:|

    Look forward to Tuesdays!
One of the first things I do on Tuesday is listen to this podcast! John and Darren do an amazing job. I am such a fan of the both!! Can’t wait for the next one! Start listening!

    Love it!
I absolutely love this podcast! It’s like listening to a movie every time! I’m more of a reader/music person than I am movies, so this is much like reading for me where I’m able to create my own vision of what is going on as I’m listening. It’s very suspenseful and I absolutely love the voice acting! Please keep this coming!!!
  • runeverywhere
    Amazing
This podcast is fantastic!!!! Love the storyline. The acting is perfect!

    Awesome!
Hooked after the first one. Great acting! I’m sitting in the car with him watching that gray van follow him. Gotten through four episodes. Hard to wait for the rest. Reminiscent of many of the Old Time Radio “shows”. Especially “Suspense”. Great acting also and well known actors. Keep cranking this kind of podcast out.

    Always excited for more
I wanted to give this a few episodes before I put in my review. This is a great podcast! I was hooked after the first episode. It’s been hard for me to find podcasts that are just telling a good story. The only name I recognize in this is Darren Criss (only from watching the CW). But everyone is great, it’s paced well and the suspense has been great in my book. I look forward to the rest of this podcast. Waiting a week for a new episode is always the hardest. Makes me wish I found it after it was all loaded. Totally worth it.

    Three episodes in and wow
Wow! The writing and the acting is tight, the various strands of the story are being woven together brilliantly....I am pondering who is conning whom.
  • The_Batman7
    THIS IS IT!!!
The podcast I’ve been waiting for! Please don’t stop midway like half of these other great podcasts do. I don’t know the business but this story line is amazing And I’d be willing to settle for some apple headphone mic quality if that means the episodes will keep coming! With that said! Love how immersed this sound quality gets you and I love what y’all are doing!!! Much love!
  • Gillandro
    A gripping story
Despite how badly disney destroyed star wars.... John Boyega is an amazing actor... The story has you interrested from the first few minutes and keeps you asking what will happen next.
  • Pudelmom
    Interesting
I love sci fi in this vein (Scalzi) of mystery set in a time near to us. Boyega is great as the lead. It keeps me guessing!
  • driven2review
    Very impressed
Love audio fiction and this is a great addition to the art form.
  • ssockk
    Really Good!
Gripping and well produced first episode!

    Hooked
I primarily listen to podcasts for news or investigative journalism. I haven’t explored a lot of the fictional offerings in the past. I wasn’t sure how I would adapt to a story unfolding solely through auditory means, but this one has definitely hooked me. The voice talent is top notch across the board. It’s just hard to wait a whole week between installments!
  • Betty Kanton
Came for the Darren Staying for the Story
Title says it. Started listening as a Darren fan but the story is intriguing and the whole thing is so well done that I recommend it all around. Can’t wait to see where it goes.
  • Thecrster
    Amazing!
    Great story and sound!
  • mmack1026
    Awesome podcast
This is the first time that I’ve listened to an original story told like this via a podcast and I have to be honest that the only reason I stopped to listen is because of Darren Criss. But this is turning out to be really great! Darren and John are incredible. I know that this is sci-fi and not some horror story but I’ve found it chilling and a little scary (in a good way) only amplified because I’m listening and using my imagination and not seeing anything! I highly recommend a listen.
