    50 years in ministry
What a wonderful challenge and serious reminder of how our faith in the 21st century was achieved by those that came before! Thank you for a broadcast that puts us right in the historical scene of what was happening to the beloved Martin Luther! Our emotions hit high and low points as we heard of the suffering, and the tribulation that he faced over a number of months and years! Thank you for placing us back in HISTORY to experience the grace of God to give us such wonderful truth of the scriptures in today’s language!!

    Epic!
The stage production is bar none! Not only is the character development incredible but it also gives theological insight that only Ligonier could provide! A wonderful show that hooks the listener. If I could give a suggestion. Maybe give an abridge version of Pilgrim’s Progress for the next series! Thanks for this podcast!

    Fabulous!!!
I sincerely pray that other series like this one come out, sooner than later. This must’ve taken a lot of time and work and it was worth every effort. I have re-listened to this numerous times and never tire of it. Absolutely wonderful! Please, if possible, keep them coming. God Bless.

    Facts wrapped up with storytelling
Wow what a perfect blend. I know quite a bit already about Luther, but there is still so much here to learn. These small real time vignettes make it easy to fit an episode in or binge on a Saturday. Just fabulous. Don’t miss out.

    100% Incredible
This has been an encouragement to my soul, informative to my mind, and inspiring to my imagination! The quality of the writing, performance, and production shows itself in every episode. It’s not a mere documentary, the creators take time and care to build the tension! I keep saying “just one more!” I would love to see Ligonier produce more content like this from the annals of Church History!

The entire series was excellent! RC, being a great story teller himself, would have loved this series! Putting this vital history into a theatrical format kept me captivated during each episode. May GOD bless your efforts. I hope this continues.

    Very well done
An amazing narration of Martin Luther and his fight against works based salvation, and his fight for biblical truth. Encouraging and compelling for the Christian. 10/10

    Confusing
I find the way the story is told confusing. If only Ligonier had come up with idea in 2017. In order to hold to the conceit that the episode hits events 500 years later to the day, at least half the episode is flashing back years earlier. Hard to keep track of when events occur. Especially, when a past event is similar to the event at hand.

    Very impressive
    This series is captivating

    Season 2
I hate to give this a bad review but I am so disappointed in the second season. It appears to be simply a recap of season one. I’ve been looking forward to the second season since the end of the first. Why just repeat season one when there was so much more to Luther and his life?
  • Rynnelli

    Luther Series on Ligoneer
This is amazing, it has helped me tremendously. I enjoy many things from Ligoneer, and this was one of the most beneficial for me. I hope Ligoneer does more like this, maybe on Augustine or Calvin.

    Martin Luther in Real Time
I am both a history and Bible / Theology enthusiast. I immensely enjoyed the content of ‘Martin Luther in Real Time’, Podcast presented by Ligonier Ministries. The nostalgic way the content was presented in dramatic form, and the accuracy with which it was done is both to be commended, and hopefully repeated. (I was wishing that the story would/ could continue...) It reminded me of the nostalgic way that radio shows were presented in a long-time ago forgotten era. This was refreshing and gave a new perspective for both myself and my grown-up children. Thank you Ligonier Ministries for this opportunity to have encountered this drama / historical Podcast!
  • ilikescience2

    Greatly Enjoyed!
I greatly enjoyed this series as I lacked knowledge of some of the early church struggles and the sacrifices that were made by those living out God’s will! Thank you for putting this together is such a delightful and educational way!

    Thrilling and Informative
I never knew a podcast could put me on the edge of my seat like this did. The voice acting, the sound track, and the sequencing of each podcast was superb. I was enthralled and checked daily hoping to see the next one posted! Highest recommendation possible!

    WHAT?!?! Ending? Why?
I’ve truly enjoyed this podcast and I’m totally perplexed as to why it must end. Did Luther’s life end after the Worms verdict? Hmmm.... I DON’T THINK SO! Please continue this podcast, the writing is excellent, the acting is believable and the production values are solid. Come on! Please continue this podcast! I’m not even a Lutheran and I really enjoy this podcast....😉
  • What's da matter!
    An Awesome ACCOUNT:
Extremely interesting account of MARTIN LUTHER and his reasoning .

    Wonderful experience!!
I have so enjoyed this podcast on Martin Luther. I have read much about his life and the reformation , but this brought his humanity and the enormity of pressures against him into reality. I felt the burden of the stand he took in Worms, and fear when the Edict of Worms was read. Living after the Reformation it is difficult to really understand the risk Luther took to stand for and on the Word of God for the truth of Christ’s work on the cross and His mercy to us.

    Excellent series......engaging.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every episode of this well done podcast. The script is well written, the actors/speakers are very real in their character portrayal. And solid historical and Biblical truths are spoken. Thanks so much for bringing a crucial piece of church history and Luther’s life to the listening ears of the world.

    Not a history buff
I’ve never been one that would be known as a history buff. My life has been, rather, consumed with the study and practice of music. But as I have aged, history has tapped on my shoulders to remind me the wisdom & knowledge of the past. As I literally stumbled onto this podcast and the historicity of the person, Martin Luther... I was captivated from day one. There’s even a part of me that says, “just let all the episodes play out and then go back and binge on all of them at once.” But as each episode comes about, I am forced to hit play... unable to wait till they are all completed. Great job on all aspects. And I especially appreciate the concept of presenting as history played out... exactly 500 years ago. Thank you for enlightening me on the person of Martin Luther and his passion to live life and speak it according to scripture. For without it, I fear we would still be under that Roman Catholic Religion & the whims of Popes.

Can’t wait for the next episode!!
