Great story about the previous tension between two family members and how the pandemic has brought them together in more ways than just physically quarantined to their home. “Mom and I have spent more time together in these past few days than in four years” was the line that hit heavy for me. It reminds me of how little I got to see my friends and family since moving away before the pandemic and how long it will be before I see them again. A few days was all the character needed to reconnect their mother-daughter relationship. The speaker was fantastic as well. Having the writer speak for both the Spanish and English versions kept the tone consistent and clear while allowing her to define it how she intended. I hope to hear more stories in the future!
