    So much fun!
You don’t have to be a techy to enjoy Bike Shop CX! Packed with humor, fun and information. This is my go-to cycling podcast all year round.

This pod is consistently funny, irreverent, informative & you’ll learn at least 1-2 new things EVERY SHOW about bikes, cyclocross & life. It might not be that valuable but...I kid. ScottyD & Mr. David Palin are top shelf total pros. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

    Best bike podcast
Can’t say enough about this Show. It’s entertaining and full of great info. And David and Scott are as friendly in real life as they sound on the show and really involved in the local CX communities. Always look forward to the next installment.

Our Kind of People. (Bike Nerds)
Been a listener since the beginning...the days when Scotty D. would stand on his soapbox and preach at shop mechanics about service prices. The addition of listener questions and Mr. David Palen it had become much more accessible and entertaining to a wide audience. One thing I gotta say is friends don’t let friends use Stan’s Sealant. They make great wheels and tape but when it comes to the sealant...just say no. 🤙

    Love the podcast!
Love how you guys run this show, the “culture” of the show is on point. The nitty gritty details of maintenance, tools and components. Keeps my mind from turning to mush when I have monotonous computer work to do. Keep up the great work! Thanks!
  • Chubby_Tyres
It’s not the bike shop show, ITS BETTER!!!
Loving this pod, Mr. David Palan And Scotty D. are not your typical bike guys. They are witty, sharp, and can truly be a trusted source of advise for all your Brapcentric topics. Keep up the great work, I am especially stoked to hear you guys mention you might be doing some gravel topics as well!

Great knowledge with a few good laughs
    A must listen to podcast...

Tech talk for riding in the real world
Thank you for sharing this real world bike tech knowledge from the field. The bike industry seems bent on arbitrary standards and confusing and self serving recommendations. Scottie D and MDVP do a remarkable job of cutting through the clutter to make sense of what works and ways to fix it when it doesn’t.

More more more, how do you like it?
Mister David Palan and Scotty D go to great lengths covering CX tech. Their banter is entertaining and informative. Time flies listening to these two bike nerds!

    Fantastic Show
This is a must listen to show for anybody who loves working on bikes as much as riding them. Fun dialogue mixed with real world experience. Keep up the great work guys!!!

    Better Than The Slow Ride
Before I listened to Bike Shop CX, I didn't know my headset from a hole in the ground. Now, after listening to several informative and entertaining episodes, my bicycle repair and maintenence skills are the SHIS.

Informative with a heaping side of laughs
A great resource for technical cx info and reviews along with comedy. Pretty cool that they remembered the interaction we had in Waterloo also. Giant cowbell Jesse from MN

    Tires
I've learned a lot about CX tires on recent shows. I was glad to learn than tire direction is a suggestion. I went for a ride instead of reversing a tubeless tire on my bike tonight. Thanks! I also just ordered the dry Vitorria tubeless based on recent show. Can't wait to try out the fish scale tread.

    Excellent
When it comes to Cross even google has a hard time finding answers to seemingly common questions. But thanks to Bike Shop CX I have great answers. Thanks Scott and David for smart, detailed explainations and high class entertainingment.

    Thank you!!!
I'm glad I found this! Being a CX guy, I'm always on the lookout for good, solid content. I believe I have found a one stop shop for all that. Scott and his guests are always spot on with their views and commentary. Give it a listen!

    Keep up the good work
Very informative show. While recuperating from a bike wreck I found this show. It provided my fix I couldn't get on two wheels. Keep the episodes coming.
  • OBDevin
    Love the show.
Thanks Scott for a great show.
  • Cotharyus
    Keep up with your bike.
This is not the most entertaining podcast out there. But if you want someone who can break down technologies and really help you understand what bike manufacturers are doing with new technology on bikes? This is it. On top of that, it’s not all dry and boring, you will find the occasional laugh. Defiantly worth listening to if you have any aspirations of working on your own bike.
  • macgrrl84
    Love it!
Just subscribed - excellent technical content. Keep the episodes coming!

    Interesting Show
Great show about bike mechanics and new technology. Scott gives good details about bike mechanic basics and theory. He also goes in depth on new components and tools. It also includes lots of interviews with people in the industry.

    Bike Shop Show
Love the podcast. I am a gear junkie and techie with all things bike. So, naturally the show is perfect. My wife also enjoys listening to the interviews and the general cycling information (she is a cyclist as well). Great listening for traveling to races!!!!
  • Mustangcindy
    My new favorite podcast.
I am a new listener.I stumbled into the Bike Shop Show when I ran out of other podcasts to listen to. It's my new favorite. Scott is knowledgeable and easy to listen to.I have been going back through the archives too. Good stuff. Really enjoyed the recent Campy segment with Sean.
  • Joe Safety
    Great Show!
I love listening to you guys, especially when you get into the technical bike talk. Keep up the good work!
  • Michigandercyclist
    Great info!
The host really knows his stuff. I've included some of his suggestions into my own shop practices. His tool reviews have allowed me to purchase high quality, useful tools into my shop without having to sink a ton of money in to tools that may be mediocre. Now with his second show dedicated strictly to cyclocross racing, listeners will be able to fine tune their needs. Keep up the great work!
  • Jin_yeugh
    Great technical info
I love the technical knowledge and repair advice the host Scott gives. Scott sometimes gets incredibly detailed in terms of thread count and pitch, bearing load, etc, which sometimes confuses me but that's what makes it fun- I learn something new. This show recently split off from a cyclocross/bike repair show and is now simply bike repair, with occasional interviews and highlights of races.

    Great Podcast
Great podcast! Excellent race coverage and tech information. Scott and David are like two good friends you want to hang out with and talk bike stuff all day. Keep up the great work.

    15-sec forward skip button
The host, Scott, knows his stuff. There's no doubt about that. I've listened to every one of his episodes and generally look forward to each new one. However, there's more to cycling then cyclocross racing. When he starts talking cyclocross I usually hitting the forward skip button on my iPhone. I miss the topics of his early shows where he would give a detailed report about his commute to work or on his latest bike build. I'm an amateur bike mechanic building several bikes a year and doing all of my own maintenance and repair work. The knowledge and advice I get from a pro-wrench like Scott is invaluable to me. The whole series on wheel building, the one on frame fabrication, and his reviews on tools are awesome. He mentioned something a few episodes back about this podcast splitting in two, one for racing & cyclocross and one for the tech stuff like it was in the beginning. I can't wait for that to happen.

    Excellent
Excellent podcast - loads of fun to listen to. Great information on shop related stuff along with lots of cyclocross stuff.
  • d-rock79
    Great Show
Great show full of all kinds of mechanical know how and application for everything bike related. A little cyclocross heavy during cross season which is not a critique. Keep up the good job Scott and Mr. David Palan.
  • TheAlmaGP
    Consistently quality podcasts
I've been a long time listener now and the product that Scott puts out is consistently of good quality and well worth a subscription!
  • jerseybarrier
    Professional and concise show
Not one to write a review, but I'm so happy to have discovered this podcast. It's made my 1-1\2 hr commute so much more tolerable. Scott does an amazing job of clearly describing a mechanical procedure. It's almost surgeon like :). The show is interactive and questions do get read and answered (thanks for the shoutout). The show offers so much more then bike shop stuff. It covers all things for the love of bikes. Being an older racer, it's nice to know there's other things to discover about the bike. The passion he and Dave have for cyclocross has me now looking to upgrade my cross bike and take on my first race. I'm also now following all the men's and women's pro action. That's what I call a pretty powerful podcast. Keep up the great work.

    Great Show
I love the down to earth nature of this show. I feel like I am sitting in my LBS listening to the guys shoot the bull just without the "F-bombs". Keep up the good work.
  • davo.usa
Great info alround, even if a bit CX centric
A good podcast that i"m permantly subscribed to. Some great interviews & race reviews along with tech advice thats about as good as you can get on an audio only platform. Keep it up guys! p.s Living "down under" is Australia, I'm quite jealous of your CX race scene.
  • Bikewtb
Love the Tech and the Tunes
I love the music Scott uses on each show. I started listening for the bike shop tech segment but found I like the music too. The host, Scott, is a very knowledgable bike mechanic and explains things very clearly. I learn a new trick for fixing bikes every show. I could listen to an hour of bike tech talk by Scott every week. I have no idea who all the cyclocross riders are nor any inkling of the races recapped on the show. I'm not into cyclocross but it is clear Scott is passionate about it and that makes me willing to learn more about it. Overall great show, great host, wish there was more bike tech talk and less race recap.
  • Bim 999
Michigan style! Friendly -yet- total pro.
I'll put this up against any other CX reporting. And it's audio! …Perfect for the commute or the workshop time. (I'm gluing a tire right now while I listen…OK, and I just patched one, too. Plus a lot of riveting but I won't go into that. But the show has been GREAT!)
  • DRsheldo
    Should be the Cyclocross Show
First off, I really enjoy the host and love when he's on Velocast Tech. However, this show spends the VAST majority of it's time discussing cyclocross racing and reviewing midwestern cyclocross races. If you're into cross, that's awesome and you'll probably love the show. I'm not and really only listen for the tech stuff which is becoming few and far between. I will likely unsubscribe for awhile and maybe try again when cross season is over.

    Quality podcast!
Smooth - great flow and full of good info. Interesting, Professional, True, Mature and Clean. I always look forward to downloading the latest show!

    Great podcast.
This is one of four cycling podcasts I listen to in a regular basis. Scott Dedenbach does a great job keeping us informed on michigan/Midwest racing, cyclocross in the states and abroad and the best in detailed cycling tech. In-depth interviews with interesting personalities from all around the cycling world makes for a uniquely interesting show. Scott also collaborates with the folks from Velocast to give the show some extra perspective. Awesome show, just subscribe and thank me later.

    Rad
This is THE podcast about cyclocross and bike mechanics. Scott and MrDavidPalan cover the local, national, and world cx scene. Scott not only does great tips on how to keep your bike up and running, he also explains product lines and demos new gear. It gets me pumped up on the way to the local weekend races! Great show.
