Bad vibes at shows

I’m just listening to Episode 40 & 41, about the Twelve Tribes Cult. It is all so familiar, bringing back many memories. My husband and I kidnapped his son from the Dorchester branch of the Community in 1997. We hid in the Caribbean for 8 years. His son had stories of being beaten by any adult who deemed it necessary, for so called lying, or jumping on the bed, or biting his nails. We researched the background of the Cult and couldn’t allow it to continue so stayed on the run, living on a sail boat, until Ian was old enough to make his own decisions. It was a difficult time for all of us, completely changed our lives. The podcast was so familiar; the terminology bought it all back like it was yesterday.

I LOVE the stories, guests, brave conversations, and authenticity of this podcast. Yes!

I think it’s fair to say that the phish scene is male-dominated, as far as demographics go. Phemale-Centrics offers a view that is not always easily available to most guy phish fans. They have great guests on, and it’s clear that they are dyed in the wool, knowledgeable fans. Awesome!

You want to laugh and reminisce and here some great interviews? Dawneebee and crew keep things real and definitely have a great time. These ladies know Phish and their passion really shows!!

Refreshing take on shows and touring with Phish, especially trying to do it with a family to think about...and told by real fans. The episodes with Kate, the ex 12 Tribes member is a must listen.

I love the honest, real, hilarious recaps and interviews from Dawn and her guests. She has some great stories and this will quickly pass your time away! Can’t wait to boogie with you one day. :)

Keep up the awesome work - it’s refreshing and critical to hear from powerful women who love great music!

Listening to this show makes me feel more connected to the thing I once had so much of in my life, phish and the people I met at shows. I don’t get to as many so I enjoy listening to these fun chics interview and discuss the scene and music. It’s very entertaining!

Love this podcast, Dawneebee and her crew are so much fun to listen too, they get great people to interview, and know their Phish.

Groundbreaking, inspiring insight into an inspiring and fascinating social movement. In her interviews, Dawn not only sheds light onto the female perspective of one of the most influential tour bands in American history, but provides a platform and gives voice to a generation( and more) of women in a musical and cultural phenomena. WELL DONE!

Too often I laugh out loud at work! 🤭😂

They get some great guests (Benji Eisen was particularly interesting), but the hosts could stand to improve. Too often will the guest be talking and one of the hosts will make a cliché “Phishy” allusion or witticism, which is tired in real life and even moreso on a podcast. Also, they just don’t always listen to the guest’s narrative that well. For instance, when they were interviewing the former 12 Tribes member, the guest was explaining a period of extreme poverty marked by a lack of adequate food, and a host inquired, unironically, if she was operating a chain of restaurants at that point.

If you want to listen to someone talk over and completely steamroll their guests. this is the podcast for you. Lots of potential but missed the execution.

Really needs a lot of work on actually interviewing people. It’s rough to listen to.
