The best thing about any good podcast is that regardless of the subject matter or target audience, anyone can listen and enjoy. That definitely fits, here. First, Holly is an engaging host with a nice on-air style. Second, the guests are all interesting people from diverse backgrounds. Finally, Holly does a great job interacting with the guests. An easy, informative conversation between friends.

Performer’s and Creator’s Lab’s creator Holly Shaw is one of those rare cultural creatives that is not only accomplished at the creative Arts herself, she has also dedicated part of her career to generously helping other creatives identify obstacles to their success and then coaching them through a process of breaking through their own limitations. First in her hypnotherapy practice, then later in an excellent book, and now shared with us as a podcast. And this is no dry academic speaking to us, Holly has a performance background in strict, traditional, world dance forms like flamenco, and improvisational forms like modern dance, and narrative forms like stage and film acting. She’s been enmeshed in the performing arts for most of her life. So she’s ‘walked the walk’, ...and now we find she’s got a natural gift for the talking the talk, too. This fun, interesting, and personal podcast (as well as her best-selling book) is proof of her big heartedness, and her desire to reach us and teach us, and help us in ways that are unique to the artist lifepath. She seeks out interesting guests from across a range of disciplines, and engages them on different levels; from personal interviews, to explorations of a specific theme, to coaching sessions. For example, A visual artist might gain some insight from an actors conversations about stage fright, which will be useful when they have to pitch a public art project proposal in front of a committee or give a lecture. A writer may find the dancer’s conversation about the relationship between stress and movement in the body important in getting through writers block. Or an actor might find something useful in the musicians conversation about channeling sexual energy during performance to help them loosen up their acting. Topics definitely cross over. Sometimes irreverent, sometimes serious, Performers and Creators Lab Podcast is always interesting and useful to anyone in the creative field.

I love that this podcast exists. It is wonderful having the conversations with successful artists and hearging the good, bad, ugly, and how they did it! Finally something real. And Holly is an awesome facilitator, always asking the right questions and really getting the stories out there! This is perfect for ANYONE in the performing arts world, or otherwise. We perform everywhere, not just on stages.

Whenever Holly has something to say about creativity or art, I listen up. Not only because she's an incredible creative herself but also because she knows how to tap into what other artists need to keep creating their best work. Holly has such a fascinating take on performance and how it is really a channel for Source, God, the Universe - whatever you want to call it! Never thought about it in that way before, but it makes so much sense. Will look forward to hearing more!

Listening to Holly from the first moment of episode 1, I was mesmerized. She's such a pleasure to listen to and I find myself riding along with the emotion of the episode. Definitely inspires me to tap into my creativity and move people from the stage. You can tell this is her baby and there's so much love poured into these episodes. LOVE this!

Loved this conversation between host Holly Shaw and Raz Kennedy on being afraid and do it anyway. I think this is the secret to creative success. It's not about overcoming or eradicating fear but about feeling the fear and keep moving through it. Great insights and stories for any creative trying to share their art in a bigger way. So excited to dive into more episodes of this great podcast for performers and creators.

Holly Shaw is an amazing coach and author. Listening to this podcast will make that clear to pretty much anyone that has yet to be exposed to her work. Just by listening you'll get the benfit of being coached by a master like Holly. I highly recommend this to all aritsts and performers.
