There couldn’t be a better companion to one of the most creative, visionary book ever. I love how knowledgeable Albert is, and how he fills us in on all the backstories and the nitty gritty details. I never got to play Atari or play Galaga at an arcade, but now I feel like I was there! I can’t wait to listen to more. Cheers!

I have to admit, I wasn’t sure what to expect and have found myself loving it everyday

Albert has created such a Fantastic show that is pure entertainment. The in-depth look into all the pop culture references From Ready Player one just enhances the expirience of reading the book. They link things to the storyline which are things I missed or didn't understand when reading alone and now I love the book even more than I did before. I also have learned some great bits of trivia while listening that I love to repaet to anyone that will listen. Will has been such a great addition to the show and adds a level of comedy and knowledge that is absolutly wonderful.

There couldn’t be a better Ready Player One podcast if it was done by Ernest Cline himself. Albert, Will and more guests go beyond the book with great deep dives into all the references with tons of humor and passionate insight. I have just as much fun listening/watching these episodes as I did reading the book!

I just finished listening to the final episode of chapter 6 with Neal Robison. So good! Albert is a total nerd and always finds amazing guests who have deep, personal insight into 80's culture. I love hearing how things like breakfast cereal and D&D shaped people's worldview. It makes me appreciate the legacy of what came before. Keep up the great work with the podcast!

Very much a deep dive into the retro gaming world of the book. The movie really comes second but is still part of the podcast.

Albert has a deep natural knowledge of the pop culture covered in this book. What's great is that even though this focuses on old pop culture references, it doesn't feel like a pop culture dump. If you liked how this book referenced the past, you'll love this show.

This show is the go-to whenever someone needs to unleash their inner nerd! Practically exploding with knowledge, trivia, and humor, this podcast seems to get better with every episode! If you haven’t ventured deep into this show by now, then I don’t know what is wrong with you!

I tried sticking around to listen to this podcast, I really tried, but after about 4 episodes it was just depressing. Each podcast is basically Albert inviting people onto his podcast to talk about things he loves and have his "friends" SHlT all over him for it. I don't understand why most of these people are on this podcast since they seem to hate everything that made the book so great. I was hoping to find a podcast that shared the same love for 80's pop culture that I have but other than Albert, its just filled with haters.

Love your podcast, I’m a child of the 80s and a nerd at heart so this is right in my wheelhouse

Albert and the gunters take you on an epic journey with each episode into the world so skillfully crafted in Earnest Cline’s novel “Ready Player One.” You like 80s pop culture, it’s here by the mouthful as this RPO podcast serves up heavy doses of detailed insight into everything mentioned chapter by chapter in very well researched commentary. The hosts do more than reminisce about the topics contained herein, they offer tons of information on 80s and 90s movies, music and TV in ways unheard before. “When this podcast hits 88 mph, you’re gonna hear some serious $@“!”

While I never lived through any part of the 80’s, Albert and the guest crew really bring home the nostalgia factor, even for me. Listening to these guys is a blast and I really look forward to following through the entirety of Ready Player One with them.

These guys have great insight on 80’s pop culture zeitgeist which compliments this Ready Player One-Centric podcast whilst going through each chapter of the book. From Corn Flakes to diatribes on Oingo Boingo and Duran Duran this is definitely a must listen to!!

Enjoyed the couple first episodes very much but cannot listen anymore. Albert is a great host and has done his homework but the pickering and flaming of '80s kids movies and music by the (adult?) guests is just not what I want to hear celebrating Ready Player One.

This podcast is great and for both Gen X’ers and millennials, even if you have not read the novel. The premise is clever - the host Albert will use the novel to set up a discussion (with cohosts that typically change with each show) about pop references mentioned in the story. And there is plenty to discuss. During the course of the podcast you’ll find yourself nodding in nostalgic agreement if you’re a child of the 80s, or laughing/shaking head in disbelief if you’re too young to remember. Either way, you’ll have a blast.

Albert has crafted an exceptionally detailed and enjoyable show. Each episode walks the listener through a chapter in the Ready Player One novel, highlighting the pop culture phenomena along the way. Albert and his rotating consortium of guests discuss the relevance of each reference, then dive into their personal experiences and recollections. No stone goes unturned on this podcast! With so many iconic references in the RPO novel, this podcast is ESSENTIAL to catching and understanding them all. The discussions are lively and fun, and makes the novel all the more enjoyable, since now you know what Cline was actually talking about! Great job, Albert! I'd say more, but sad to say, I don't have that kind of time.

I love this podcast already. Being born in the late 80’s I don’t know much about 80’s pop culture. The this podcast couple with the book, gave me a lot of interesting movies, music, and shows I would have probably not checked out otherwise. The guys so far has brought interesting takes and personal experiences and it’s just the first episode. I’m excited for the rest of the podcast.

Really excited to find this podcast and hear what all it has to offer. For fans of the RPO novel who could spend hours hanging with Aech and Parzival talking about Halliday’s passions, you could go no farther. Even the off-topic discussions are intriguing and definitely entertaining. Excited to take another trip through the Oasis with these guys. Leave your body and soul at the door, Oingo Boingo for life!
