Long time lurker on BSH and listener to BSH radio love to see the continued success and great content after the move to PHLY. If you want flyers content that isn’t just generic sports radio talk this is the place to be. Charlie and Bill are great but the show is the best when Kelly is in the mix too, love her infusion of sarcasm and she has great hockey insights as well. Can’t wait for next season!

Great show that’s awesome to listen to, even if Bill threatens us, Charlie gets a bit too sweary and Kelly puts her feet up on the couch. By far the best flyers coverage around.

Charlie is the ONLY saving grace for this show. And that’s even a stretch. This company needs to re-evaluate who they have covering this Flyers team because who they’ve chosen are unbearable and quite possibly know little to nothing about the game of hockey. Flyers Daily w/ Jason Myrtetus is the spot to be.

It stinks listening to Flyers podcasts when all the hosts know significantly less about hockey than you do. Bill is entertaining but Kelly is brutal, JP doesn’t know a gd thing about hockey, and Charlie “Chucky Finster” O’connor is an arrogant dweeb who has never played hockey in his life and relies too much on metrics and analytics thinking he is Eric Tulsky. Listen to this pod if you want to hear Charlie talk about prospects he has never seen play.

Gave up watching games when they chased out Kate. Mostly because the Organization doesn’t care about hockey. But I love hockey. This year I didn’t watch or listen to a single game but caught every episode of Phly Hockey Podcast. I like the thoroughness . I like the rants. I like the off the wall opinions. Well done.

The only reason to listen to this podcast is to get Charlie O’Connor’s input and analysis. He’s professional, knowledgeable, and articulate, and he’s bogged down by the rest. I’ve listened on and off over the years to BSH, and I tuned in most of this year, and the rest of the crew are just insufferable. They’re your basic, whiny fans who are fortunate enough to have a mic in front of them. None of them actually know anything about hockey outside of the Flyers, and it constantly shows. They’ve been doing this or some iteration of this show for long enough, you’d think they’d have grown a bit by now. Unfortunately, this is where Charlie is now, and it’s the only place to listen to him, so I will continue skipping through each show until he is present. Oh, and change the intro. Every time I’m welcomed and greeted to the show, I have to stop the impulse to turn it off it sounds so bad.

Casual listener/reader from the BSH but have been impressed with this podcast and the hosts. They’re not perfect but can foresee them getting there and soon. I will continue to listen and engage. Keep it up👍

Was a semi-regular listener of the BSH podcast and have read Charlie’s work for years but wasn’t sure how they’d pull off a daily pod with (usually) only 2 people - have really been impressed so far. Smart commentary, a dash of insider info without resorting to gossip, and just generally entertaining. Only complaint - it can be a little glitchy, especially with the prerecorded ads (not the reads) that sometimes just start out of nowhere (often when a host is in the middle of a sentence), or the recording will “skip” and repeat a whole section. Not sure if this is an Apple problem or an All City problem - it happens with their other pods too.

Giving 5 stars because I’m not a stickler. Love the show and the fact that it’s live. Only complaint is the fact that Charlie sits so far away from the camera that I can barley see his dimples :/

I’ve listened to Charlie & Bill for years, they are two of my favorites and I like the new show so far. Some feedback that I think could elevate it some more: -Bill: it feels like you are interrupting Charlie or trying to finish his sentences before he can make his point. It’s a little distracting at times. -JP: I find him annoying, wish it was just Bill for postgames with Charlie calling in. JP is cringe-worthy.

I couldn’t listen to BSH anymore. Bill and Charlie on their own is really good. Love the analysis and the banter. Bring Kelly on for guest appearances…. But only Kelly.

This is a great show. Definitely a different vibe then BSH Radio. More serious hockey talk with less shenanigans. I like both a lot but for different reasons. So far so good. Keep up the good work brothers. Oh. I canceled my subscription to The Athletic. No Charlie no $$. I’ll try and figure out how to subscribe to new show.

The chemistry between Charlie and Bill is great and look forward to the season coverage.

Love this crew! Including Steph, Kelly and Maddy (love Maddy’s info on prospects when she’s on). Been a BSH reader since 2008 and this is my drivetime listen versus ESPN Radio (🤮). Love the discussion, topics, knowledge of the Flyers and Charlie is fantastic.

The only Flyers podcast I listen to on a weekly basis.

Do you know when you go to Walmart and get that shopping cart where you got three wheels that are nice and smooth and they turn and you got that fourth one rattles and get stuck. It makes it annoying squeaking sound that’s Steph.

I was a devoted hardcore Flyp listener until Craig had to take his permanent leave of absence. He and Steve had such great chemistry which made the 3 or 4 hours just fly by. Ever since then, it’s been a painful listen between the rotation of Craig replacements (the regular cast of characters), the annoyingly, eternally, whiny Eamon who believes analytics are life and anything else is crap, and Ryan Quigley who is at least a notch above Eamon, yet still does not hold a candle to Craig. The material is more stale than one-month-old bread at this point. And I can hear it in Steve’s voice that he’s just trying to make it through an ep as best he can. I’ll still stick with the flagship show purely for Bill Matz’s epic rants. I am also pleased to hear Charlie has reduced his usage of “what it boils down to” in the podcasts.

The shows I have listen to have been great but they really need to work on the volume levels when they take calls during the live shows. I’m listening to the one now about Chuck Fletcher being fired and I can’t hear half of the callers or guests that they bring on. Bills and Kelly’s volume are at the highest level whereas everyone else’s is super low and not audible

This is a great podcast, probably the best flyers podcast out there, just a bit inconsistent. Bill is the best show host in Philly (including radio)Kelly brings a great perspective as a life long fan and has covered this team for years, Steph isn’t afraid to speak her mind one bit, and Charlie some how keeps the other three on the rails every week and has a unique, analytically driven perspective. Over the past year (I know the SB nation deal has fallen apart) they seemed to be less consistent with post games and their flag ship show. It used to be every game for the post game and weekly for the flagship show. I worry about the future and if this shows better days are behind them. They used to be full of energy, but seem defeated. Besides Kelly, who releases content weekly, it seems like the show is an afterthought this year and they don’t seem driven to make it a weekly podcast anymore, which is unfortunate for flyers fans. I hope they regain their footing soon and become more consistent, otherwise I’ll have to look to other outlets for flyers podcasts. This is still the number one flyers podcast, but I’m worried that they could be dethroned in the near future. Flyp is still a great show, Steve and quigz are hilarious and I hope they stay with the other 4 long term.

Charlie and bill are awesome love listening to them. Kelly and Steph seem to know nothing about hockey and continuously have horrible takes and god forbid you have a different belief than them

Jump right into a hockey podcast that somehow talks as much stupid social justice warrior causes as it does the game of hockey and our Philadelphia flyers. If I have to hear Steph cry or piss and moan one more time I might set myself on fire. Charlie’s analysis is so good it’s a real shame I can no longer make it through listening to this nonsense.

BSH is my favorite flyers podcast. One time on the podcast, I heard them express doubt that old people listen to them. I’m pretty old (58), but I think they’re great. It’s an excellent combination of humor, analysis, and emotion.

Show always entertaining Kelly seemed extra calm this episode , but still a great job , great job as always Bill and Charlie . Appreciate the honesty of the comments being made especially JVR ,RR and Deslaurier.Hope Carter doesn’t get caught up in a scandal he seems jittery enough as is. Every week I check in and pray we make it through the intros without hearing “stephalicious d steph driver”. If those words are uttered out of Mr. Matz’s mouth i simply pause and click on “mark as played”. This podcast could be really good, what a shame.

Informative with humor mixed in. Bill, Charlie, Kelly, and Steph do an amazing job and help make being a flyers fan less depressing. Steph especially is very funny and I love her hearing her takes.

Charlie, Kelly, and Bill are great. But Steph is so awful. She’s neither funny nor offers anything of valuable.

This is not meant to be mean or rude however, I’ve been feeling this way for sometime now and came to this comment section to see if others agreed with my sentiment. This podcast is great and I really enjoy listening to this show as they give you an array of Flyers takes you do not hear elsewhere. That being said Steph is very painful to listen to and I find myself hitting the fast forward 15 seconds button until her segment is over with. Politics completely aside, it seems like her Flyers takes are pretty poor and she typically doesn’t have facts/statistics/knowledge about the team and sort of just goes off of what is trending on Twitter that week and doesn’t have any more depth than that. It feels like she’d be the type of person you start talking hockey/sports to at a bar and after 5 mins you realize they don’t really know what they’re talking about. Additionally, she yells, screams, and interrupts the others constantly. I’ve seen a lot of comments on here saying generally the same things that I am saying here. I wanted to avoid the politics as I think that should not factor into how you evaluate a podcast/business aside from it being unprofessional. To conclude, I know she gets a lot of hate on here and this has not been done to add to it but I feel like if Steph was not on this podcast it would be a 5/5 with Bill, Kelly and Charlie alone. I’m sure she is a lovely person and does good work running things but I don’t think she does a great job podcasting. Never thought I’d be the type of person to write a review about a podcast but here we are…. Sorry if anyone read this far. ZA

I feel bad, as I am sure she is a good person, but she is not meant to be on radio. It is exhausting listening to her. Really tough and makes it difficult to get through.

It’s crazy how often Steph just ruins the conversation with her unrighteous indignation, and then one of the other hosts has to awkwardly get back on track. I hear it almost every episode, and feel the need to skip whenever I hear her going on a rant. I know she’s the boss, but maybe she should have some humility and realize that she can create a better product if she just stopped hosting
