You really can’t underestimate the value of good editing, structure, and humor. This podcast is just so well done that it doesn’t matter what they’re talking about, it’s good! It just makes it that much better that they make EVERYTHING interesting. And the cheat sheets? The transcription? The additional content?! Fantastic all around!

I just found your podcast and am hooked! I listen to it daily while I’m in the lab working on my PhD research. It’s so nice to hear from other black STEM women who have different interests but use their scientific minds to dissect today’s biggest issues. Man I’m into these two and their vibe. Great chemistry, great banter, and great laughs! But some of the science they talk about is hardly science. I was pretty on board until the “spooky” episode about “paranormal detection technology.” I like how they inserted a couple pieces of real education but come on, why are you legitimizing this pseudoscience man? Like really you’re leading some people astray here.

I mainly listen to podcasts on Spotify because that’s where I listen to most of my music. Saw this advertised on my home page and gave it a listen, and boy am I glad I did! I mostly listen to true crime podcasts but this was a lovely breath of fresh air. Titi and Zakiya are both great hosts and I love their chemistry with each other. I like the idea of tying in this science related stuff into pop culture, it’s great for the not-so-well-informed likes myself! I’m only four episodes in but have enjoyed everything so far! I also love the fact that the hosts are intelligent black women — it’s a game changer, and I’m glad Spotify recognized their potential!

This is the science podcast I’ve been waiting for! Titi and Zakiya are super fun and engaging and make you feel like you’ve been friends with them forever. Plus, they do a great job dissecting the trash on the internet with their scientific training. Finally, some science I can talk to the non-scientists in my life about.

Titi and Z are the best friends I’ve always wanted! These two are hilarious and so so smart. They translate science so your girl can understand easily. I feel smarter and happier after listening!!

I really loved this pilot episode. What a wonderful intro to what is sure to be a lighthearted, funny, educational and entertaining series. I could definitely sense that they are best friends...the conversations and jokes just flowed naturally effortlessly. Can’t wait to step into the lab every other Thursday with Titi and Zakiya!
