I opened my podcast app this morning for my 30 mins of knowledge and affirmations each day. I was over joyed to see you posted a new recording. Short but right to point! I totally agree that the term woke has been misconstrued into a meaning that was never intended. It’s a-shame that we are still combating the laws, the education system, and justice system etc. We all know the truth and its coming for them so they have to create this laws and false concepts to keep their lies hidden. Please give me more!!!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast and look forward to more quality topics and intriguing guests from Angela Rye! The truth may hurt for audiences on both sides of the spectrum but these are the words that need to be spoken and heard right now.

While I often listen to people - podcasts - radio to try & understand how a person can be seen very differently from the left. Sorry it defies logic- it’s all feelings.

The best aspect of On One with Angela Rye is that we get to see Angela Rye'sinterview skills and political knowlege beyond her role on CNN, where she is limited to soundbites and one-liners that too often undermine the vastness and depth of her intellectual range and experience. She is very keen on virtually all subjects that intersect with politics, pop culture, sports and the black experience. Do appreciate how she magnifies the voices of black female voices and gives listeners a chance hear more in-depth, insider-baseball-type angles on subjects we can't really understand in mainstream outlets. Few political podcasts provide the kind of range On One with Angela Rye does and it should be required listening for anyone who wants to understand our political landscape.

I like the idea of Angela Rye’s brand, but the execution is not on point. Her “casual conversation” is disingenuous and irritating. Her political view, which I generally agree with, is communicated in a way that is not easily understandable for those with limited exposure to to politics...and at the same time... not communicated intelligently for those with political understanding. Coming off as relatable, intelligent and funny in the media is incredibly difficult. As made obvious by this podcast.

Yo, I love Angela Rye. But I cannot believe how hit or miss the quality of this podcast be. Smh. It’s a real shame because she always gives quality information with less than quality sound. How? You work in media!

Tough to live up to that, but Angela will expand your understanding of people not served well by political leadership in our society. Understanding that is essential to make our country work for all Americans. We need more Angela Rye’s to recover from this disgusting time in our history.

I’m giving this a five because this is an enormously critical podcast and is elevating very important voices. But please do something about the audio. I’m not a AV person but there’s gotta be something that can be done. I wanted to hear the Julián Castro conversation so badly but 15 mins in I couldn’t hear anything bc of the static. And when there’s not static it sounds like people are underwater.

Ms. Angela Rye!!!!!! Every pod casts snatches my edges each time! You use your platform to encourage , inform and influence your listeners and viewers and for that you are my Shero! I honestly listen to this pod cast daily and I am reminded every day that as a black woman it is not enough just to be magical , I have to do the work! Keep wearing your crown and fixing your fellow sister’s crowns ! I’m currently listening to the Political Innovators episode , getting my entire life ! Be blessed , and thank you ❤️

Angela Rye is an excellent communicator. Her expertise on a wide range of topics and her no-nonsense approach place her in a rare category. There are several (non-politician) people that I hear on radio, podcast, TV, etc. that cause me to pause everything I’m doing and listen; among them include Jason Johnson, Tiffany Cross, Elie Mystal, Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow, Eddie Glaude Jr., Karine Jean-Pierre, Malcolm Nance, etc.- Angela Rye is one those people. I could listen to Angela all day long. Thank you for being amazing!!

I love Angela Rye. This fact HAS to be made clear off the top. When I heard she was doing a podcast I was HERE FOR IT!!! She has made me pay more attention to politics because of her relatable personality. But this isn’t about Angela Rye, my critique is about the podcast as a stand-alone entity. I enjoy podcasters who are consistent with their content. We know how often and what day the podcast will drop. Rye was great at first but then there she ghosted out of nowhere, randomly dropped a podcast with my other fave Jemele Hill and has left her podcast audience on “Read” ever since. I would love to give her 5 stars but the inconsistency says maybe this isn’t your lane.

this podcast is proof that the trump formula works.. even for the other team. there is absolutely no substance here, which is disappointing in an age of so many established and up and coming political thinkers. this is pure cult of personality. black sarah palin.

Let me say that I am an African American young woman from Seattle and hearing Angela constantly reference local organizations and events gives me life! Everything about this podcast is amazing; from her guest selection, topics and even the sponsors she chooses to shout-out. One suggestion I would make would be to put the names and descriptions of the resources she and her guests often mention in the description box of each episode (if possible). I am often driving or traveling when I listen and don’t often have the opportunity to write them down. Other than that, keep up the good work Angela! You are a true inspiration for my friends and I.
